Wait for the Luba 2. It's already shipped to most of the world except the US where it will be available in mid March. It's a huge step up from the outgoing model.
Before putting any robot mower to work you should get your yard cut right back. These are only designed to maintain the lawn not do a height reset so all those Hugh clumps should have been cut back beforehand. Still very impressed how the Luba got through them.
Yes indeed. You are absolutely correct. This was more of an experiment to see how durable the machine was.. I will definitely make sure we have it cut low with a commercial mower first and then just use the LUBA to maintain the height. But like you said, very impressed with how capable it is.
Sorry… haven’t logged on in a while. It’s takes about 12 hours to cut my 3 acres, but that is because it has to recharge about 4-5 times which takes about an hour every time. My lot doesn’t have any tree branches. It never got stuck. This thing is pretty durable and can typically work itself out of a jam if it gets stuck.
No, we don’t have any issues with underground varmints, but we have some fairly tall ant beds. It generally trips the impact sensor and goes around it, but there were a few occasions where it actually climbed over them if they were less than 6 inches tall
I was told there is a back door firmware update coming that will allow larger coverage areas. I was actually able to push it to about 2 acres before it restricted me.. there’s another TH-camr @crazypostman that shares some useful info about this issue and how he’s overcome it. But for me this is fine. I don’t leave my LUBA at the property for more than a day, so I just program it to cut half the lot, delete that one, and then create another coverage area to finish it. Takes about 8 hours to cut an acre and a half with the one pass setting (no criss cross patterns)
Here’s his video where he talks about the zone/coverage update… fast forward to about the 9:50 mark th-cam.com/video/tcWq0ql0vZc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ud3p8l8XOckiU0df
Here’s another one where he talks about the firmware update coming soon to allow for double the coverage area… fast forward to about the 2:50 mark th-cam.com/video/uU42onjbKHw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZUL-zFhOjUGjwANV

Thx! I’ve got one on order! I’m hoping they release a larger commercial version at some point as well
Just got the Luba 2 3000H and it's a wonderful piece of kit. Only regret is not getting the 5000H with more battery/cutting capacity.
That’s awesome. I plan on upgrading to the Luba 2 next year when they advertise some promotional discounts. Thanks for sharing

How long for the land to complete the cut?
Does it get stuck?
Are tree branches a problem?

That’s awesome.. how big is your yard?
@@dreamhomeonabudget it's smaller less than 1 third of an acre is grass
It might be expensive but it's still cheaper than a zero turn
Agreed 100% 🤝
Do you have moles or gopher mounds? Wonder what it does on dirt mounds?
