I'm really enjoying this trend of horror games where you're a paranormal investigator trying to find the truth of a site of a horrible incident. They often give me Paranormal Activity vibes. Plus, Jay's screams always make my day. 😁
Serious, as for the story of this game, it seemed like the mother lost her son due to kidney failure and lack of a donor. She didn't believe her son could have died, and felt like she failed him the most. In her eventual insanity, she cursed everyone that couldn't help her and decided to cast a spell to haunt the building and everyone involved in her son's death. That's how I see it, at least.
