Good stuff. The hidden games being permanently stored is a good idea. It was frustrating having them locked to the VS and having to input them every time became something of a gimmick.

They should have made it so 2 EXPs can connect to each other wireless so you can play game in local multiplayer.
They passed it on again unfortunately remember when the video said u can do leagues with comp mode? Thats us doing all the leg work of the leagues instead of online where its easier and not the consumers working for free fot blaze :). Major bummer if this is firmware update. Not much going on

Yes! We wanted to get the EXP out the door first, then the VS will get some love to bring it in line with the EXP experience.

Yep! Once the EXP is safely out the door, the VS firmware will be getting some love to bring it in line with the EXP's features.

I think everacade a good example of someone making a gaming handheld thats design to be a handheld console not a handheld tablet/pc. Bonus points it has physical cartridges too which is something i wish many of these companies creating handhelds would do. Why i love the switch even if i do have a increasing digital library i still have plenty of physical copies as well. Personally woudlnt mind seeing a handheld like this and switch but its focus on indie style games . A lot of games & third party gamesout their that could use a physical release that have popped up over last 10-15 years ^^

Curious if the A and B for tate mode emulated the standard A and B buttons or are their own seperate buttons, would be cool to see another game made for the evercade utilize the extra buttons somehow if so. Also I assume we will be able to boot into it without needing to signing into a wifi connection.

Price isn’t bad, design looks nice. Bezels are kinda thick, but that isn’t so bad. Logo on the front is tacky but at least distracts from the bezels a little.
Any chance for a Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight cartridge? That would be amazing!

Still no button mapping or auto fire though, this is really disappointing.
We're looking into additional button mapping options for a future firmware update.
Looking forward to it! Preorderd! I wish you would have made it and the original handheld more ergonomic. Man hands need to be comfortable. How about making grips for this one and the original? That Tate mode is a great idea especially for shooters.

I saw that some hidden game unlockables on the VS require 2 carts to be installed at the same time. Will there be a way to access these hidden games in the EXP?

It's planned for a future firmware update, but unfortunately wasn't ready in time for launch. We're working on it, though!
Love the coin limit feature - I always feel cheap spamming the insert coin button! Will this and the hidden game folder be added in a future VS update?
Yes, the plan is to give the VS firmware some attention and bring it in line with the EXP after the new handheld is safely with everyone.

This is all awesome but we're still waiting for some kind of analog control (trackball, spinner or rotary dial, basic analog stick) support on the VS. Half of the games on the Atari Arcade 1 cart are damn near unplayable with a d-pad and that's a real shame, because they're great games.
I like the new add ons of the Evercade and the permanent unlocking games menu....but it is there any way to unlock the hidden games when you combine 2 cartridges in the Evercade VS? It means that on EXP we can't unlock this games? And if it is posible...how?

Has the button mapping been fixed? Every single game I have seen has completely backwards button mapping, which stopped my purchase of the device (and many libraries) dead in its tracks.

I ordered the black one off funstock they ship out using royal mail I think which means only the people who ordered off Amazon are likely to receive there's on the 15th.
Funstock ship using couriers, I believe. Please check directly with them if you're concerned about shipping around the Royal Mail strike period.

Is there a screen that displays the mac address for the WiFi? I don't like having to disable mac following to add devices to the network.

That's the aim, but your best bet is to check directly with the retailer you're ordering from for their delivery estimate.
Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but who is this console marketed for? I just don’t understand who wants to collect physical re-releases for older arcade titles on a small smartphone-like console?
You answered your own question. The Evercade is for folks who enjoy retro games and who enjoy collecting physical releases of games that are hard to find or prohibitively expensive in their original formats now.
tate mode is great but isn't it a bad idea to only have 2 buttons instead of 4 for later games ?
It's something that was discussed and researched extensively during the design process. The vast majority of TATE mode games that are likely to appear on EXP use two buttons -- plus squeezing too many buttons over there on the left could potentially get a bit unwieldy.
@@EvercadeRetro ok, one of my fav shmup and can use only 2 button is layer section from taito on saturn but in arcade it was gunlock aka rayforce (1994), hope to see it on evercade ! ^^
A day one update, is this for the system or the new arcade carts I wonder?
It's for a few tweaks and improvements we were able to add before the console got into everyone's hands, but too late to actually incorporate them into the manufactured units!
My EXP arrived yesterday from Funstock. Very impressed with the build quality and interface. Update was pretty straight forward and quick....whatever it was for.
Still prefer those Capcom games on a cart, but it is nice having a load of extra games without carrying extra carts on my commute.
All in extremely happy.....keep the Arcade Carts coming please. Sega, Namco, Midway......plus more obscure titles/licenses.

Hello, I'm from Brazil and I would really like to test this wonder on my channel, would there be a possibility of partnership?
What a waste of money not even properly quality tested, opened mine today on Christmas day and the charging light does not work and my EXP randomly crashes to black screen, ten times in one hour, then I read all the other people with issues online, mine is going back to Amazon asap with the carry case and two extra games I bought. Evercade must of known there were issues before release so in my opinion this was a Christmas cash grab... disgraceful..... I will never buy another Item from Evercade again. Oh and by the way I also have backlight bleeding on the homescreen... well done 👍

It's all getting a bit too much like mobile phones for my liking. They made a mistake in discontinuing their iconic red and white handheld.
