I love all your videos. What fascinating history you uncover. I like imagining families living there in those beautiful woods. I know it must have been hard for them, but surely they loved the homesteads they carved out. I picture rustic cabins, cleared fields for crops or even just a garden, and the daily activities that might have caused the loss of the items you find. I imagine the loss of a coin was a big deal! Thank you for sharing..

I metal detected my neighbors garden and found 2 civil war union military buttons. then my neighbors son tells me he found 4 in the same spot. an area about 5x5. I'm thinking a burial, since there was skirmishes all along this river during that time. They were waterbury bottons, 1859-1865. LOVE YOUR VIDS. they make me homesick.

    Hi,
That flattened lead with the 2 on looks to me like a completely flattened Enfield .577 type bullet.
That type of bullet was also used in the American Civil war. The 2 would have been moulded
into the the recess in the back of the bullet and would be the bullet mould number.

great drop beauty for sure , nice finds considering you weren"t to thrilled about going someplace so familiar but ground conditions change frost may have push the find sin range i have a similar site it close convenient and now digging all signals tons of nails but then you pick a coin or a sweet button like yours and just makes it , thanks for sharing and proving a site is truly never hunted out
