Brad, I want you to know the way you're been working to increase the production value of your videos is noticed & appreciated. The editing, drone footage, animated emphasis, and your music are top-notch. You consistently tell a compelling story with your videos. It seems many of your newer followers might not realize you actually write, perform, and record the original music featured in your videos. Knowing that really does make what you do even more impressive. You are truly a TH-cam Super-Creator. (TH-cam really needs to properly recognize the special content creators like yourself).. Keep it up! It is appreciated!
Brad, nodoubt you love this place! The place that keeps on giving! The place I would definitely keep going back to! Great finds again! Keep on digging. ✌️😊
@@noxtwilight_ If you go back and watch Brad's older videos you'll see he always did a great job with the story-telling, music, and editing. He really didn't need to improve. It is obvious he sees what he's doing as a craft for which he can continue to develop his skills. I really have to admire that about him.
I’m just finding your channel a few days ago and I must say it is top notch. I’ve been detecting here in Virginia for a couple years and I just love the hobby. I watch a lot of videos on you tube to learn more of the hobby and to get ideas on what is what on find. However the research is just as fun and important. I look forward to your new videos and of course watching all the others. Thanks for sharing your love for the hobby
BRAD! You began my metal detecting rabbit hole last year and inspired me to buy a cheap little metal detector (under $100) and finally brought it out into the woods of my backyard yesterday and found a gold ring with a MASSIVE center diamond and two smaller ones on the side! I’m bringing it in to get appraised but wanted to thank you in advance for helping me pay off some student loans! 😅😂
He started me on my journey too! Brad videos are beautifully produced. I also love the channel Finding America. His production is great too and the historic pictures he shows take you back to another time. Happy hunting!
I’m from Massachusetts, but have lived in Texas for more than 30 years. In 1976 I spent the summer in Vermont pastoring a church. Every Friday morning your videos transport me back to New England and happy memories. thanks!
I watch several detecting videos but Brad, Green Mountain is my favorite right ahead of The Hoover's and Stealth Diggers. Your production and location views are top notch! 😎
Brad my husband is using my metal detector as we speak. I wish I could say he is looking for treasures. He is looking for the corners to our cabin property. Oh well I guess you could say it is our equity treasure. I love your videos! So calm and full of excitement!
I just looked at some children's shoes form the late 1800s and there were about 5 buttons just like that down the outer side of the shoe. BTW, I have found a half real from 1776 that was holed in about the same location. Nice finds Brad. Thanks for bringing us along.
There is something so relaxing about your channel. The excitement you get from finding something that might have been mundane in its day, finding the history and showing it off to us rabble rousers.. you sir are appreciated. Thank you for the weekly surprise history lesson, treasure hunt!
I’ve traveled all around the Country working construction for many years. I live in PA but I’d have to say Vermont is one of the most beautiful states I’ve ever been too. The back roads and winding hills/mountains are stunning.
You have the best videos on metal detecting! I love how you transpose (?) a better version over the one you found so the rest of us can see it. And I love the stories you feel about how the find got lost, and your knowledge of what you found, like that iron knife! I live in NM and want to metal detect, but everyone tells me no one had any money back then so all I'll find is beer tabs. Plus no one wants anyone walking around on their land. oh well, maybe someday! Keep up the good work and have fun! Hope you find a whole pile of gold one day!
I love pewter. I collected it from flea markets when I was a teenager stationed in Germany. Loved the flea markets. Spent my allowance and babysitting money there.
Tally ho was a brand name of sporting attire out of England. They provided for fox hunters but also clothing for many other forms of gunning field sports. The hunting coat was a fav
Wonder if the cigarette rolling papers Tally hos stole that name just a thought and yes tally ho was a call during fox hunting way back when from memory.
My mom had a pair of OLD shoes with those same kinds of little buttons that you found. She even had the hook one would need to pull the buttons through the loops to keep the shoe on. She showed me how they used to button them up.
Its nice to go back to a spot and still find some old Coins and Relics. Congrats on the Copper and Vermont Copper especially the 1792 Half Reale. The Cufflink is an excellent find Congrats. Love all your finds Brad. Take Care
Mr. Brad Martin, I have been watching so long I identified the Vermont coin before you identified it for me. It's Friday for me because I saved your always excellent productions to enjoy at my leisure. Your demeanor and music resonate with me and the fact that I was born in Wisconsin and you in Vermont somehow assures me that we CAN all "get along". Thank you for that.
Brad after you mentioned about them using what we call cufflinks to hold the top of their shirt closed ! I thought that you maybe correct about that because I've only seen most finds of them are just one not a set of 2 for cufflinks !
Greetings Brad: Regarding the perforated silver half resale. I’ve heard that in the times before pockets, coins were sometimes kept by tying them together with a piece of string.
It's always good to see you Brad! I think that tiny button had to be used on a woman's under garments ! Sorry Brad but that is one cuff link, that holds the garment together! Have a great weekend! ❤❤❤❤
Nice hunt,Brad and good find of the Tallio cufflinks. I saw the same pair in the museum at Colonial Williamsburg. With it's ties to Great Britain, I'm not surprised to see something there connected to fox hunting. Thanks for sharing this with us.😎👍
I just found your channel Brad. But I really like the way you put that about the guy coming along and finding it and all. Made me subscribe and I don't subscribe to many channels anymore, but I like what you do and find it interesting. Thank you.
Hey Brad, I heard something about our ancestors punching holes in coins. That way they could put them on a string so they wouldn't lose them. I really enjoy watching your videos.
All wonderful finds! The place is gorgeous! I really like your drone shots! So beautiful! Music is always enjoyable!! Thanks Brad! My Favorite Friday morning video and coffee! Starts my day right!!
Your videos are just fascinating! I look forward to the new one each Friday. But I also have to say, I look forward to the music as well. Love your compositions!
Wow! How you superimposed the bust image on the large vent for us to see better. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos. I enjoy watt but every week!
The Reale could still be holded to put on a string to keep safe. I used to live in Concord NH (1985) and found many coppers. My first Flying Eagle 1858 in amazing shape.
Man yeah… that’s some awesome finds… it’s seems like there’s more treasure and relics in the ground up north way than there is in Georgia… thanks buddy…
Brad have you ever wanted to take your metal detector for a walk on the Oregon trail? I've wondered at the treasures the would bring out if the ground! Just curious and something to pondsr! Have a blessed week! Love your videos!
Hi, Brad. New subscriber here. I just wanted to say I've been binge watching your channel the last couple of days and am really enjoying your content and your demeanor. And I'm also very jealous of where you live... It's absolutely gorgeous. Greetings from across the pond! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Oh wow great finds Brad. I watch your channel all the time. I live in Northern Colo. My bucket list is to go to Vermont detecting before my 70th bday in 4 years. Hoping you can be my guide. I have tinkered around, but that's it. Have a great weekend with the family. 👍😘
Brad...that is 1 cufflink...Not 2...there are 2 sides to these old links...there would be another one exactly like it to be a pair...one for each sleeve...great video...thanks again...
They could of had a gun contest to shoot the coin, and it was nail to a post or a tree 300 yrs ago. It's cool to hear and use ur imagination for what it really was nailed to. If ever down or would want to come and check out north central Arkansas, hallor! There r alot of kick ass places here. And plus u can come and find some Southing stuff to go with ur northern stuff. Look up the Buffalo River and there r alot of good things to find. Peace dj
Enjoyed this video very much. Again...beautiful videography and fabulous finds. Love your music as it helps "tell" the story. The personal items like buttons truly link us to those wearing them...love that Mind candy.
I watch your videos every Friday I can. Its great to see you collecting parts of history. Sometime, would you tell us about your equipment (brand) especially your backpack
Very fine video with a awesome background view. If I remember correctly, the Vermont coin was the inspiration for your logo...lastly, I want to say the intro music was outstanding, I especially enjoy the string instruments in the background...good tune!!!

Brad,
I am too old and arthritic to metal detect anymore. However I live for your videos. Enjoy them and The Hoover Boys.
I am 71 and I still go to parks to detect. The secret is to take a small portable chair and a young lad with you to do the digging.
That little button could be a glove button, what beautiful scenery you live in too.❤
I second that!
I agree. Ladies gloves of the period might extend all the way to the elbow and could have dozens of those buttons on a pair of gloves.
Or tiny trousers!
I was also thinking it might have been for a baby's garment.
I was thinking that, or sometimes old fashioned dresses had sleeve buttons.

Green mountains and White mountains and the Maine coast. You are welcome back any time. GOD bless you and your family

Love it when Brad says “No Way”

The intro to this vid is my favorite one on the soundtrack!
I'm really loving that overlay that you do on the coins for identification.
It's cool how you superimpose (sp?) an image on the coins so we can see it. Thanks.
YES😃
A really great group of finds in a beautiful area. Drone shots give such a different way seeing the land.
Brad, watching you makes me wonder what could be found here in the woods of Rhode Island where i grew up. I’m always thinking about it.
Nice bundle of treasures Brad! Beautiful scenery and a 'run-by' from a deer. What a day!
Thank you for sharing your fun with us!
The research is part of the treasure hunt. Love it all. 😊
Imagine finding the old privy 😊I love watching guys dig them and the awesome stuff they find
Brad,
Really like the new opening music and the wide angle 4k camera!
What a peaceful place to find treasures!
Take Care,
Rik Spector
It was common in those days to nail a coin above the door for good luck.
OK, I kinda thought that also...
I love the comments section coz lots of diff people have bits n bobs of knowledge and are super willing to share🤩
Brad, thanks again for sharing your metal detecting and the beautiful Vermont scenery. Great to see those familiar ridgelines and views.

That Vermont coin is your best find. It had enough information on it to make it extra special. Congratulations.
Boom let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
My mom had a pair of OLD shoes with those same kinds of little buttons that you found. She even had the hook one would need to pull the buttons through the loops to keep the shoe on. She showed me how they used to button them up.

You should make that field an annual dig on a calendar.
I loved the Spanish silver because it tried to hide in the clump to the last little bit.
Hi Brad TFS Love your videos & the beautiful scenery. ☮️💜 from Wisconsin
