You certainly scored some great coins from that area. Our weather is the total opposite to yours. The other year l was detecting in the Aussie bush west of here & it was 43 degrees centigrade. Just a normal day in North Australia.
I started watching your vids a few months ago and I have to say...content is great, editing is awesome, music is really cool...I think I've watched about 25 or so and I can't get enough. I try to watch others and they just don't measure up to yours...And now I have a metal detector and a pinpointer and I'm ready to go out and look for my self...Thank you so much for the inspiration...
Thanks so much for the kind words, good luck out there, I hope 2019 brings you many treasures!
i agree, i just started this channel here and i can't stop watching! i got a detector just because of this, excited to give it a try. So many old cabins i find when i am out hunting, ill have tough choices to make next time i am hunting in the mountains lol.
@@snickerstorino YES! Like be VERY, VERY CAREFUL when you are hunched down digging in the dirt that a Grizzly bear doesn't spring out and maul you or WORSE! Be very safe! I'm sure you carry a gun since you hunt elk.
Find anything cool?
Thank you for getting out there and busting ur butt in the cold to have fun and entertain us in the winter and make our fridays awesome!
Congrats Mike on your first Large Cent. What a great hunt. The bell was probably my favorite out of all the amazing finds. Your scenery shots were beautiful. I could almost feel and smell the cold Vermont Mountain air watching this episode. Thanks for sharing, stay warm and take care.
Nice finds guys!! Love watching your videos. Catch believe all those coin finds in a single hunt. Sweet!!! Happy Hunting
Thanks so much!
Oh to be young. To get out in that frozen weather you are more a man than me. But then again I'm 63 and live in Tennessee. Great video guys and great finds. Thanks for taking us along.
Another great video guys, and venturing out into that COLD! Some fantastic finds as well! I hope to find an old coin sometime. See you on the next round!
Great Job! A very nice little bell. Thanks for sharing and a nice sunny weekend!
Awesome video guys and some really gret finds.
Another visually pleasing video and a fantastic hunt! A large cent bonanza! The bell and the whizzer were fantastic and that old horse tack buckle was great! Thank you for taking us along!
Thanks for coming along, Brian!
Great finds today. Was going to say that buckle looks like the one on your bag. Thanks for braving the cold and for the beautiful shots of the area. Always happy for ya on a fruitful day.
Thanks so much!
That shot you did of the camera down next to the ice was awesome
Hi, wow you made me feel cold just sat watching lol, Great 1st copper Mike congrats. I love the logo metal you found, there must be a way to make that into a pin and put it on your jacket or bag. Some really cool finds, the bell was really cool, an awesome hunt by you both and kudos for going out in the first place. Thanks for sharing. x
That is incredible to find that many large cents, in the middle of know where! Fantastic video as usual!👍
Your videos are yucky and boring. I'd rather watch Nora she finds interesting things and she looks a lot better in her swim top.
Under the circumstances I wouldn't have thought you'd have found much special at all - but just shows, despite the cold your equipment held up so you found loads of great stuff - super bell & coins! Have to return in spring! Nearly here! 😉❄🍁🐾👍
Nice video, I like the way you stop and show the detail to nature, it is good to see.
Glad to hear you enjoy it, Henry!
Great treasure! Wonderful treasures out there from Mother Nature too! Love the little bell! Thanks for taking us along! HH
Very cool finds. The Ice “sculptures “ were beautiful . And you have a very nice smile. 😊
I don’t know anything about metal detecting but I love your videos. You seem like a very caring and personable host. Keep selling me!!
Great finds! Thanks for sharing. Totally enjoyed. Can't wait for snow to go..
Those large cents are the stars of this video, but - Wow, those ice crystals were really cool! That's an incredible phenomenon
I have to agree!
Thank you for taking me on a winter hike from my warm bed in south Texas.
Great finds and, as always, excellent video of beautiful Vermont.
That ice is needle ice. Just found it all over OH recently. Forms via capillary action when your ground is warmer than the air, and ground water starts freezing. Neat stuff.
Yep. Similar to frost flowers that we get here in certain spots around SW Missouri, also during deer season. Wish I could post a picture here, they are quite spectacular.
how does it form like that
Wow! Thanks for the info! Amazing stuff out there we hardly see!
Another name for it is hoarfrost.
Here in 1960s in North Alabama used to see frost heave... straight clumps of needles coming up out of the clay. I wonder if they were the same process?
Nice winter hunt guys! Thanks for taking the time to make this video for us.
It is nice you go out in the middle of the woods to find yourself as a piece of lead. Nice coins. Keep warm and thanks Brad and Mike.
Loved the bell ! Thanks for sharing. Keep warm !
Super finds! And as always, beautiful scenery.
Never disappointed watching your videos, love the scenery as well as the metal detecting. And them ice crystals far out never seen anything like it and all my times in the woods
Praying for a SHORT winter and quick and early and WARM spring (with little to no mud season)!!! I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your videos! I love to get to Vermont every chance I get. If I wasn't this old, I'd move there in a heart beat!
That's quite a haul you guys found this trip! More coins than buttons, WOW! That much money was still quite a lot compared to the monthly wages in the day.
Maybe you can salvage the 'clanger' from the crushed bell to restore the Ticonderoga? Please show these items once they're cleaned up?
Stay warm, and Happy Hunting! (Tell Eddie he is missed. Nice to meet Mike again.)
Thanks so much, Jerry!
You guys had some really great finds! Congrats to Mike on his first large cent! And thanks, as always, for the beautiful scenery shots. The ice was awesome! Stay safe and keep warm!
Thanks so much, Cynthia!
Great finds guys! That's Awesome! And that ice is what they call needle ice. So cool you found some because I know you take some awesome photos, so you now have some of the cool needle ice. lol.
Thanks Calvin!
Love the time you take for the intro and through out the videos to show the beautiful scenery. Very artistic!
Glad to hear you enjoy it, Laurel!
Beautiful video in your in the Vermont mountains. Love your finds coppers bell and all. The ice find just beautiful. Thanks for another adventure. Stay warm.
Today we have a video of #HighToneMike and #HighToneBrad! I totally understand digging those when it's cold. Not to mention the abundance of high tone targets. Well done.
Haha thanks Larry!
HAPPY TO TO SEE YOU BOTH BUT ITS NOT WORTH FREEZIN GUYS. GREAT FINDS, LOVE YOUR COUNTRY SIDE, ICICLES AND LOVELY PLACES. SEE YOU WHEN WARMER 😀 THANKS AMAZING.
CAMILLE AUSTRALIA 💜💜
Brad, Watching your videos brings back memories of my 20 years detecting while living in Southern Vermont......cellar holes, farm fields, old muster fields and tavern sites and the Military Road from Charlestown NH westward...Spending all day outside with my wife detecting from Westminster, Putney, Brattleboro, BenningtonYour finds are awesome. On the days my wife had to stay home to run our B&B I would go out with my detecting buddy John...Good Times.... Nothing like the solitude and excitement of uncovering something that has been lost for hundeds of years. Keep those video's coming !!
Awesome you are blessed my friend, always happy watching makes me feel like I'm there
How ironic with the "logo" find. Love the buckle & the bell complete. Coppers galore! Your video editing is awesome. That ice is absolutely amazing. Thanks for treking in the cold nice video. HH
Thanks so much, Joe!
Nice hunt guys! Very cool Conestoga! Congrats on the coins. Thanks for sharing! GL & HH!
Great finds despite the frigid conditions.
You really have an eye for photography. Well done.
You guys did great...good for you! That haul was worth the cold!!!
Love the way you present your videos; lovely natural shots and chilled music ...and then the finds. Fav channel
So glad to hear that Mark, thanks for watching!
I enjoyed your adventure, especially the bell. Thanks guys for braving the cold temps.
Glad to hear it Linda, thanks for watching!
Great finds all the way around, but that big brass buckle!! Yowsa!!!!! Dunno what the ice formations are, but I'd call em SPECTACULAR 🤩
I don't even bother to watch other metal detecting channels on You Tube anymore, Good job on the finds.
Amazing finds! And that ice! Fantastic stuff! Thanks😊
Great haul there guys
Great video, again. Audio and editing are THE finest, hands down! I'm always happy when you post a new one. Keep swinging. Chuck in NE Kansas
Thanks so much, Chuck!
Mike is a naughty boy! You're waxing poetic over the spectacular ice formation and he tells you to step on it! I cracked up 😂
I can definitely hear the cold in your voice 😎your both nuts but that's why I like you. Wondering how Ed is doing I hope he's good. Y'all be carful & see you asap 👍🏻
Wow... just wow! Epic hunt - too bad the cold slowed you down... you mighta had 10 coppers!
AWSOME finds.
So glad yall got out and about.

Great digs! Those sites are hard to come by. Looking forward to when you revisit this site!
Awesome finds, Thanks for braving the cold to keep us pumped about detecting.
Excellent production. Congratulations on the discoveries. You were killing it. What at site, dream day for us detectorist in terms of finds. Thanks for braving the conditions.
That ice formation was really cool!!! Cant even wrap my imagination around that one!!! Looked like a dead skunk hahah

Tennessee Adventures
You have great music for your channel and I really enjoy having your videos on during the day, sometimes in the back ground while I'm working. Very relaxing.
You are the best my friend. Absolutely love your videos... Keep em coming
The ice comes from water being in the unfrozen ground, Cold weather pulls out the water while freezing and nature has an amazing way of making it look beautiful
Thanks for the explanation. I figured it had to be something like that but to get a chance to see up close is special
So glad you didn’t step on it. Mother Nature showing off her stuff for only a lucky few to see 😊
I've been through some real bad winters while growing up in Michigan. I've never seen ice like that before either bro! So weird but incredibly amazing! Gods creations of this entire world are truly jaw dropping and amazing. I'm glad you got to video something like that and show it to us subs. Thanks man
We see ice like that all over the Adirondacks. I have no idea what causes it.
Excellent as always. Enjoy all your videos!
Who in their right mind would vote thumbs down????This video was awesome and they get better. Loved this one Brad Vermont is so beautiful! and what finds so cool. Loved the needle ice. Keep em coming bro!
What a place! You definitely need to hit that again.
Frozen Mushroom? Maybe if you had a brief warm spell. Nice bag of coins guys. By the way, the 36 caliber balls you are finding are from squirrel guns of the era. My suggestion for your battery issue would be to pack a thermos of coffee and another hand warmer in a day pack and keep the camera in there with them till you want to shoot. That should extend your battery life.
I thought it looks like some kind of fungus as well especially with the black looking much all at the base.
I put a thermos of coffee in my camera bag too! Thought I was being crafty with that one, lol
Thanks for the suggestions, John!
great video it's good to see you again keep them video's coming.
Thanks Jonce, every Friday!
You had a freezing good day! Congrats! You found your logo! Lol! Cool bells and that buckle was huge!! How is it possible too not have frozen ground there?? Come on spring!
Thanks! This was filmed in November, the ground just hadn't frozen yet!
Awesome video. I love those Ice Roots. Lol and the logo.
This is not the kind of "Pile" I'm used to finding in the woods and I usually find mine with a Boot, not a metal detector. Great video.
The doctor removed mine.
Subbed your channel some time ago and going through some older vids- this one was incredible- the fact that you braved those temps and conditions and the volume of LCs you found- fantastic! The ice plant- a gift!
Thanks for risking frost bite for us Brad. That was an awesome
adventure. Definitely appreciate what it took to bring us along.
You have such a nice mild winter in Vermont. Yesterday it warmed up to minus 21C. We were thrilled. I live in Regina, Sakatchewan Canada. In February we had 3 nights that went down to minus -47C. Our soil freezes solid to a depth of 6 or 7 feet. Betty from Canada 😉😉
Man you film some good shots when you are out. I wish I had places to explore like that. The ice was really cool. Nice finds.
WOW! Heck of a site to detect- Jealous! Thanks for showing the ice crystals- very cool. Always enjoy your scenic shots of the woods.
Please don't ever change the music you use in your videos, I find it very calming and enjoyable. Just like metal detecting does for me.
Love the video. I look forward to my Friday mornings hoping you have a new video posted
That,s cold? Wearing a ball cap and digging the ground in winter!!! Come on over to Minnesota!!!! We won't be digging the frozen ground for quite some time.. Love watching though!!!
Yes, that's cold! I went camping in Western Arizona this weekend. 74 in the daytime, 48 at night. Anytime frozen water falls from the sky, it's too cold for me!!
Wow what a hunt! Totally jealous 😀
Thanks for taking us along on another fascinating outing. You guys did very well even though it was freezing cold out in the woods! Great finds...Loved the bell and buckle! Good luck and Happy Hunting on your next adventure! Thanks from your fan in Canada(where it is just as cold...Bbbrrrr.) 🙏🏼👍🏼🍀🇨🇦Cheers🍻
Congrats, Brad! Excellent haul. Still "the bell whisperer." Down here the ground's all clay so it freezes hard as stone at like 28ºF. HH.
Hello from across the river in NH. Just found your channel and subscribed- now I have many more to watch.
I have found a large cent...as in one- you guys just found seven ! Amazing what is out in those woods. And that bell is SO cool. Great Hunting and thanks for taking us along.
Welcome to the show, thanks for watching!
Awesome Hunt guys congratulations on the seven large. HH. Your friend smokin Joe from North Carolina
As always you do an amazing job video scenery everything.great video
Glad to hear you think so!
Another beauty vid Brad. Maybe tie to take some vacation and detect in a warmer climate to keep your viewers (me) happy lol. If this is your last vid, congrats on a great season and can’t wait for spring! Cheers!
Haha thanks Brad! I have videos on deck until May, no breaks in sight!
Very nice finds for you two. Those ice formations makes me think of grass blades or hairs.
Hey there, the ice you found we have the exact same thing on our property here in Alaska . We call it frost heaves. Once all the snow melts and we can see the ground we see those crystals right under the surface breaking through that sometimes are over a foot long and they push up the surface Of the ground or even roads. They can cause a lot a havoc up here. Nice find
Always a pleasure to watch you I'm so sorry you had to breathe order to show us what you find telephone stay warm will be waiting please take care and God bless
Great hunt guys and finds!!
Sweet finds. So many large cents. Awesome hunt!
Always enjoy your finds as well as the views and production/editing. Its been a brutal winter here in Indiana and this video just makes me hunger for spring. The dust has been knocked off my detectors and Im ready to start building some holes.....
Thanks so much, you and me both!
Google ice or frost flowers. Very pretty, but as a Florida native who is hunting a hoodie if it drops into the low 70's I don't think I'll ever see any in person. Just found your channel and I love, love, love it. Also got to see you with the amazing Chill Bill !
Thanks for braving the elements to take us on another great adventure.
Simply AMAZING! That many coppers! Nice going man!
Thanks so much!
Stunning scenery and a great treasure hunt, awesome.
what a site! nice job fella's. that spaghetti ice was very cool!
Wow great finds! I had a old timer down here in CT show me a old homestead he found hiking. We found a root cellar I think ? got a good tone but man the ground was to hard to dig. Found some softer ground didn’t find the cool finds u guys did. 🥶
Those specific ironclad mechanic gloves you are wearing are the best gloves ever. Not the brand broadly speaking (though that is great too) but those exact gloves. I have 5 pairs. It has taken me almost 4 years of digging with my hands in the dirt, handling rough and sharp objects and generally beating the heck out of them to even start to show a little wear (on the first pair - I bought the others when the local Home Depot stopped carrying them and they started to disappear from other stores). They wont keep your hands warm, but they stand up to the pretty much anything you throw at them without losing fine motor control and feeling like you are wearing leather mittens.
