Hah I love how Hina asked the same question you did I feel like the title of this episode should have been "Nemesis" or something Also, I think this show will have 25 episodes, so we're in this for the long haul!
So for doubles, only the first place double teams goes to Nationals and Taiki/Haryu lost to Hyodo, so Taiki isn't going to Nationals through doubles. For singles, the first and second place players go to Nationals, so that would be Hyodo and Haryu. So Taiki missed out on Nationals.
Regarding your take about Hina in the beginning, as someone who didn't like what you guys said on ep 6, i can see where Christine was coming from, my ONLY thing is that the "none of your business" sentence is usually directed to someone who's not your friend and/or you don't know. I took that as very rude towards a girl that is really sweet and want what's best for him. Think about this: if we exagerate this type of reply, in many contexts this would keep people away, cause i can answer this to literally any question. "what's your name?" - "none of your business" "what sport do you like?" - "none of your business" etc Just imagine what type of person this is....not good, right? I just put myself in the place of someone who is receiving this type of answer. If i'm someone's close friend, OF COURSE i'll expect them to inform me if something huge happens....sorry but you living with your crush is a pretty big deal to me.
It's all situational. We would never be rude to a stranger or someone not bring rude to us. Generally... Don't worry, we're not unnecessarily edgy with our emotions, there's no need to be so filtered when not actually speaking to someone, if that makes sense.
It was a good episode but i wish we got to see more of the matchs especially agiesnst that white haired guy who im guessing is the typical lazy genius sports anime arctype maybe my expectations as for this show to be a sports romance not a romance with sports in it is wrong.

Thanks! It got a little confusing for us...

This is definitely more of a romance with sports in it. Anime is adapting the same amount of sports moments in the manga.
Fair take. I'm happy with the SoL/Roland focus, but I too wish there were a bit more sports-ball games being animated.
