"And I'm takin all the memories off the shelf, and I don't need you or anybody else" These songs hit me harder than anything ever did music wise, I felt they were singing about my life at the time I heard them. I stumbled back across this the other day and these songs brought tears to my eyes because they brought out emotion. Amazing how music saves us.
A couple years ago this was my song, I was really hurt by a guy, I never believed in feeling physical pain after a "breakup" but it did happen to me, I thought I would never feel ok again, to anyone who is feeling the same take my word that you will look back and eventually feel good. Take your time, it will heal.
minus the part about having an apartment together, change the "her"s and "she"s to him and he and this is my life. It is so accurate, especially the line about you smiled the whole way through it and that's what's worst.
I don't think he was your whole life you still had and probably have people around you. It was just a part of your life you still have a lot to go and had a lot before him.
Ziv Siag No, but he was so much to me and the only one who truly cared where I was or what i was doing, or if I was quiet for longer than 3-5 minutes, would be worried about me cuz I am only quiet if I am sad, or maybe-maybe!- really really tired. And he was the best bf i had and also the worst break up. It was April 14th, and i still cry about it! ugh!
You know I hear about bad burns from relationships all the time and people telling me they aren't worth it just makes me want it more considering I've never had one.. I mean you'd think with this handsome face £;~D I'd have already been scarred for life
I listen to this song at the very least 2 times a day, and I must say the ending you added is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!!!!!! that piano solo always makes me smile! Cheers!
Do these guys get cheated on a lot? Do girls cheat on them just to get themselves their own song about them? It just seems like this happens a lot to them.
idk about everyone else but i really like the way the lyrics of all their songs connect. some artists just sing bout some random shit or something but not them. they sing of one thing specific in each song nd i really admire that :D
but no one could ever beat longest (album) title, that's already clamed by chumbawama: ''The Boy Bands Have Won, and All the Copyists and the Tribute Bands and the TV Talent Show Producers Have Won, If We Allow Our Culture to Be Shaped by Mimicry, Whether From Lack of Ideas or From Exaggerated Respect. You Should Never Try to Freeze Culture. What You Can Do Is Recycle That Culture. Take Your Older Brother's Hand-Me-Down Jacket and Re-Style It, Re-Fashion It to the Point Where It Becomes Your Own. But Don't Just Regurgitate Creative History, or Hold Art and Music and Literature as Fixed, Untouchable and Kept Under Glass. The People Who Try to 'Guard' Any Particular Form of Music Are, Like the Copyists and Manufactured Bands, Doing It the Worst Disservice, Because the Only Thing That You Can Do to Music That Will Damage It Is Not Change It, Not Make It Your Own. Because Then It Dies, Then It's Over, Then It's Done, and the Boy Bands Have Won''
Listening to mayday parade reminds me of a time I can only describe as grey. When I think of it, all I imagine is walking alone down a foggy path. It’s kinda like nostalgia, but it hurts instead.
also, mayday has a song "You Be The Anchor That Keeps My Feet On The Ground, I'll Be The Wings That Keep Your Heart In The Clouds" and thats longer than both
This song reminds me of my father. Our relationship is irreparable. I wish it was different. Most things that are dope about me came from him. He was dope until my mom died. Makes me feel like he was there out of obligation and to show face instead of doing it because he loves his kids. But he showed me what I don't wanna be to my beautiful son. But I wish I can at least show him who he brought here. I think he'd like me if he gave me a chance. But at least I have the chance to be a dad and give my Jonah unconditional love. Sadly my memories of my dad, brother and mom can never be taken off of any shelf in my heart. They made me who I am and I'll never let them go.
Love Love Love Love Loveeee this song. Doing a cover of it in front of my entire choir class. Even though im extremely shy and theres 100+ kids in my choir d: Wish me luck d:
"Take me home I'd rather die than be with you Take me home You have a problem with the truth Take me home Because this happens every time I knew it would... I knew it would..."
Actually, this is from A Lesson In Romantics... Jason was only on A Lesson In Romantics, and their Tales Told By Dead Friends EP, he left the band before they released Anywhere But Here
ok so i was doing my math homework while i was listening to the song on this video and i heard "i hope u like ur milkshakes facing down" so i was like wtf??? and i backd it up cuz i knew those werent the words XD
"Then you screamed the bridge and I cried the verse and our chorus came out unrehearsed..." lyrical gold!
And you smiled the whole way through it
@@sarahprice9295 I guess maybe that’s what’s worse
"I'm throwing away pictures I never should have taken in the first place"
when you take a gross selfie
"And I'm takin all the memories off the shelf, and I don't need you or anybody else"
These songs hit me harder than anything ever did music wise, I felt they were singing about my life at the time I heard them. I stumbled back across this the other day and these songs brought tears to my eyes because they brought out emotion. Amazing how music saves us.
Funny how mayday parade songs can define every emotion you can feel with a few lyrics

This song is still lit eight years later 👍🏼☺️🔥🔥
This band has helped me so much. I can relate to their songs.
Take me home
I'd rather die than be with you
Take me home
You've got a problem with the truth...
I love how straight forward the title is!
I actually discovered this through an AO3 fanfic and now I'm obsessed with their songs-
I'm in the exactly same situation rn
I was screaming your name through the radio?
I had a long term sub once in English, who had these lyrics from this song tattooed on her, needless to say, she was badass.
CarissaEllyn When I first read this I thought it said "needles to say" and you were making a pun with tattoos...
Still, your teacher sounds amazing :)
This is my favorite song for 9 fucking years and for 9 fucking years this song hurts me so goddamn good

Do these guys get cheated on a lot? Do girls cheat on them just to get themselves their own song about them? It just seems like this happens a lot to them.
John Nelson if their lyrics are true.. I don't see cheating. I see a girl lying & moving on quick.
I used the replay-buttons for a thousand times !

a true emo will be emo no matter what the year, it could be 2009000 and the true emos are still emoing to the fullest..
triple OG still emo on the inside def, but on the outside no sir, I wish it was 2008 so it would be socially acceptable to be full on emo
