It’s so strange how you can listen to a song so much at a certain point in your life and then not listen to it for a while and when you do hear it again, it literally teleports your mind back to the time period that you used to listen to it and a million memories flood into your mind
A bunch of my metal head friends and I performed this at my girlfriends funeral in 2012. There were 30 people up at the front with me and it was probably the most beautiful sendoff I’ve ever seen. I think about it every single time I hear this and it still brings a tear to my eye. There was a choir of people singing with us… She would have loved it.
My brother recently passed in a car accident on thanksgiving night 2022 and all I can hear is him singing this song over and over in my head. I sit here playing it on repeat when I am unable to sleep and it makes me ball my eyes out but smile all at the same time. Thanks for listening..

Few months later we were at the same ADTR show in a different city, while she was with a different couple, and of course when they began to play the song, I couldn't think of anyone but her while feeling completely heartbroken. Few years later, we began talking again and remembered when we were at this show, while she told me she could only think of me when the song came up. We're now 25 and we live in different countries, but we'll always remember of each other and the good things we shared thanks to this song. Bad things are not always remembered as they were :)

My condolences, that's pretty fucked. It's good you and your friend are both still in contact with each other. I went to a Catholic school my entire life and thought I was going to the same high-school with all my friends but my parents had me go to a public school where they thought I'd have a much easier time. It just really fucked me over badly, going to a Catholic school and growing up in one group of friends and all of a sudden being ripped away from them really messes with you. And I'm in grade 10 now and I made my parents send me to the high-school I was supposed to go to in the first place where all my friends are and kids I grew up with. I'm very happy that my friends are doing well and nothing bad has happened in the year I was away from them. If I was in your situation I'd break real easily and I'd take my own life. But the fact your still going is pretty fucking amazing and shows that you are way tougher than a lot of people especially me. I wish you the best of luck.

My best friend is my ex. We were on and off dating throughout 2013-2018. It was long distance. He lives in Oregon, I live in New York. This was our song. When we officially broke up, and ended it for good, this song broke me. We were going to get engaged. I was going to move in with him. But it just didn't end up happening. The distance became unbearable and we became toxic for each other. We never met. We both agreed that we would never date again, even if we were in person. I will be moving down by him next year when I graduate college now, and we just might try again and go through with our engagement. I have never been happier in my life. I truly believe that everyone is worth it. Everyone will live their life, and yes, some will have a better life than others. But there is nothing you can do about that. All you can do is be ready for the good. All you can do is try to be as postive as you possibly can. Cause life can be beautiful, and yes, maybe you haven't seen lots of beauty in your life yet, but that'll come. Everyone has beauty in their life, everyone can find their own purpose. And maybe some more than others, but that's okay, that's just how life is. Just try to see beauty in lots of things. I think you can find beauty all around you. Just look at the little things. When the sun shines, when it's a pretty day, long phone conversations, the best meal you've ever had, the nicest smile you've ever seen, the prettiest movie that you've ever watched. And yes, these things are maybe cliche and small things, but they are actually pretty damn wonderful if you think about it. Also, the looking at these little things won't make everything okay ofcourse, but it will get a little better bit by bit. If you just really appreciate those things, and look at life in a more wonderful way, it'll make you smile. And a smile will be that spark in all that darkness that has been surrounding you. So that's why it's worth it. Things won't get better immediately, but eventually they will. My condolences, that's pretty fucked. It's good you and your friend are both still in contact with each other. I went to a Catholic school my entire life and thought I was going to the same high-school with all my friends but my parents had me go to a public school where they thought I'd have a much easier time. It just really fucked me over badly, going to a Catholic school and growing up in one group of friends and all of a sudden being ripped away from them really messes with you. And I'm in grade 10 now and I made my parents send me to the high-school I was supposed to go to in the first place where all my friends are and kids I grew up with. I'm very happy that my friends are doing well and nothing bad has happened in the year I was away from them. If I was in your situation I'd break real easily and I'd take my own life. But the fact your still going is pretty fucking amazing and shows that you are way tougher than a lot of people especially me. I wish you the best of luck.

I will be moving down by him next year when I graduate college now, and we just might try again and go through with our engagement. I have never been happier in my life. When the sun shines, when it's a pretty day, long phone conversations, the best meal you've ever had, the nicest smile you've ever seen, the prettiest movie that you've ever watched. And yes, these things are maybe cliche and small things, but they are actually pretty damn wonderful if you think about it. Also, the looking at these little things won't make everything okay ofcourse, but it will get a little better bit by bit. If you just really appreciate those things, and look at life in a more wonderful way, it'll make you smile. And a smile will be that spark in all that darkness that has been surrounding you. So that's why it's worth it. Things won't get better immediately, but eventually they will. And I know that everything will be fine, everything will be okay, and you will find your happiness, you just have to hold on.
