    Ooh! Ooh! I have an idea for a video!!
    But first, I must say you are so incredibly kind for making the "how to" videos for new/newer pourers!!! You don't have to be doing that, and yet you choose to help people!! Your truly amazing, and I hope someone tells you this every day cuz you more than deserve it!!!!! 💜💜💜
    Okay, video idea!! You could do two little pours, same colors, everything the same except one painting use School Glue and the other use Glue-All!!! Then you could really compare if there is any difference. And if there isn't, you'll have twinsie paintings!!! 😁😁😁

    Julie I have been watching your video tutorials for so long and no matter what kind of day I'm having or what's going on in my life, you invariably bring me joy and fun not to mention the endless amount of talent and information you share with regards to your painting. I know you absolutely loathe the 'caterpillars' but honestly, I love them and just think of them as another characteristic of the painting! Your's was the first pouring video I ever watched and the ones I keep coming back to. Hope the little puppy is thriving. Thanks so much for everything. You deserve every 'like' you get in spades ❤

    I usually use Elmers glue all, however, I found a great deal on Elmers School glue a while back and i found that it works the same as glue all for a pouring medium. I have also used Mod Podge instead of Elmers and i found that it works very well also.

      Kim Notobartolo really?? You can’t tell a difference??

    • @kimnotobartolo1538
      @kimnotobartolo1538 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have actually used different types of PVA glue, which is basically white glue. Like I said Elmers glue all, Elmers school glue, white Mod podge...even white craft glue that's in the gold squeeze bottle...u think it's "Arlene's" brand. Actually the only time I noticed a real difference was when I used super generic white school glue. It affected the consistency. Also when I had paint left over after a pour I usually put it into clear plastic souflee or dressing cups with lids so it does not get wasted. And the super cheap stuff separates rather quickly.
      But from what I understand...elmers school glue is "washable" so if you usually clean your paintings with water you can actually wind up losing color because it's mixed with the paint. Glue all is not washable.
      But as far as performance is concerned....NO DIFFERENCE!😃

    Julie idk if you saw my comment on your last video but I believe the difference is that school glue is washable whereas the glue all is not. If that's the case then you probably won't notice much difference during pouring but when you wash your painting to get the silicone off there might be a big problem. Can I recommend a video? I'd love to see you do a follow up video demonstrating the color fastness or paint adherence during the washing of silicone off a school glue painting vs the washing of a glue all painting. I think that's where you'll see the biggest difference between the two. Just my suggestion or recommendation. Request, that's the darn word I was looking for, lol

      If I remember correctly, I believe Julie does not wash her paintings unless she has used an absolute TON of silicone in her pours. I usually don't have to wash mine off either. At most I wipe them down really well with clean paper towels. But usually I don't even have to fo that.

    • @AllGrowing
      @AllGrowing 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I would also like to know about the washing of a painting with Elmer's school glue. I don't get any Elmer's glue here, but the ordinary school glues I've used all created sticky problems when trying to wash off the silicone afterwards.

    Hi Julie. I try to get similar results but is not easy task. If I use PVC (glue) my painting appears whitish, without gloss and coarse. Liquitex medium (gloss and varnish) sums up these components to make them brighter. Could I add varnish next to the glue to get more shine?

    Julie, I believe the difference between Elmer's Glue All and Elmer's School Glue is the longevity. For archive purposes Elmer's Glue All has proven to last longer. Keep up the good work! Canada

    I thought using the Elmer's glue school glue was not recommended I have been using the all-purpose glue and for some reason it has become runny I'm not adding anything to it I'm pouring it right out of the gallon container, any reason why it should be thinning out

    Hi, Julie. Tip: Just want to point out that Elmer’s School Glue has a different consistency than Elmer’s Glue All, and have different drying times. I recommend Elmer’s Glue All. Anyone reading, please do the research. It may help you from making a mistake and wasting paint.

    Important! Please oh, please look up or watch video on TH-cam about what can very well happen to TH-cam creator come January. This is not a joke. Both views and creator need to help get information made aware. It will not mater if a creator is in USA, or another country.
    Look up Cappa from FTC
    Personally I do not want to open youtube come and never get notifications about new content created.
    . Please this is Very important. Help get this information out. Unless TH-cam creators and views do not help, come January. What we love to watch, will disappear .

      Sorry, sad part about wording. They left it very open for interpretation. It effect all that do anything on TH-cam, contain makers and views. And it will not matter if live in another country, TH-cam handed it over after big law suite back in 90s, they just have not been regulated much.

    • @gigglingsociopathh2911
      @gigglingsociopathh2911 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wording
      According to the fdc's guidance coppa, A video is child directed (which we call "made for kids") if:
      .children are primary audience based on the factors described below
      .children are not the primary audience, but the video is still directed to children based on factors below
      .when deciding whether or not your channel or video is made for kids, you should consider various factors, including.
      Count down from this ( . ) 6 lines down.
      Whether the video includes activities that appeal to children, such as play-acting, simple songs or games, or. Early education.
      Sadly arts, crafts are considered appealing to children under 13 years of age. No matter if items like a torch.
      What is most important about this, no one will be able to get notifications of new containt.
      I know there is much more mixed in the wording of what coppa says in the ftc is worded very open to debate. And there is a very big fine involved with ignoring it
      Please I want to be able to keep watching you and may other TH-cam creator who I adore.
