How does layering the cup influence a STRAIGHT POUR? SURPRISING results, acrylic pour, fluid art

  • I made the pouring medium 2parts pva glue to 1part water by weight, and then mixed 5part pouring medium to 4part paint by weight. I added extra water to some to thin them down so the consistency of all paints was the same.

I think you should try again and then tilt corner to opposite corner like an x. I think it would be interesting to see the difference in how the center reacts! Very cool and very educational! Thank you for sharing!

I think the 3rd one has more blending due to the white being a heavier density, so as you waited a bit to pour it the white had the opportunity to sink through the other layers. That's probably why you have so much white in the center of the 3rd one. A lovely experiment, love the peacock feathers! 🤩 and I think that they'll look good all hung together!

    I like all 3.
The reason I like all of them is because they are all different but still very much alike.

One is best for sure. The white looks like a reflection on water.

This is SUCH a cool experiment! In the 3-layer one: I love how the turquoise and pink blended together, but also just had their distinct rings next to each other! And the white with the lilac color, just so cool!

Hi, thank you so much for sharing this experiment with us!
    Every pour is different!
This is what I love about this art media!
2:00 'I don't want to do just one layer...it just goes against my instincts'
LOL, I could relate to that! 😅
6:35 'Wow, I'm very, very, pleasantly surprised, because that actually looks really quite pretty'
😄 That's the joy and excitement of doing pour painting!! I used to try to paint or draw, but I'd always get frustrated and disappointed because it never turned out like I wanted! BUT with "pour painting" I do all the planning, all the paint mixing, and have a general idea of the 'look' I'm going for, but once I pour the paint, the art takes on its own life form, and I absolutely love that!!
13:47 'This is such an exciting experiment, I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I'm enjoying doing this.'
    Yes, ma'am! I sure am!
    Great video!
    16:27 ...the white paint...
A suggestion here, maybe you could have used a popsicle stick and very lightly dragged it through the white a tiny bit, to break it up a little bit, and possibly draw in some of the colors below. (Just a thought, in case that happens to anyone else, or happens to you again in the future...)
22:34 I'm actually surprised, but I think I like the first one the best! 😲😁
BUT I like the landscape view better as opposed to the portrait view.
I just discovered Acrylic Pouring on 6/7/22 and I've already done 7 pour Paintings and posted 4 videos on my Channel!
The first 2 were actually tempera paint pours because that's all I had.
The next one was with Acrylic craft paints.
The next one was with Acrylic Paints and it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself! Lol
Thanks again for doing this video!
It was very detailed! Your comment on what you were doing was great, your video editing was great, and I really like your accent! 🤗❤🤗❤🤗
I have liked, commented, subscribed, and turned on my 🔔 notifications! 🤗
    Happy Pouring!!

I enjoy looking at number 2 in portrait. I noticed that when you look at the center of the painting, you are seeing a flow of some kind of tunnel that’ll lead you somewhere else. I also like the third painting in portrait because it looks like there’s a red fire being poured into a vessel below.
