Awesome video. I have a pair of Double H work boots I was about to throw out due to them killing the top of my feet. I will try the bat trick!
Give it a try! Some nice boot conditioner might help the leather soften up some as well, double H boots can be stiff at first.

I bought pair of shark skin square toe Los Altos boots extra tight for riding my Harley, floor boards with heal shifter so i need em snug like socks, wearing them a couple hours each day, i wet the toes on my socks a little one day, they are breaking in but its going slow, im not steping on the side seam and my toes arnt hiting the front of the sole so i think it will work. Def think it will be worth it in the long run.

I just bought a pair of ariat boots. I have some heel slippage. Anyway to tighten it up? Or should I just give it time to break in?
It is best to wear them for a couple of weeks and see if the heel slip improves. It does get better most of the time. However, if it does not improve then there are several things that can be done. You can find more info on my blog AskTheBootGuy at BootNShoe.com
One of those ideas is to add leather inside the heel counter to make the boot more snug and not slip.
What is in the "boot stretch spray"? I want to make some of my own.
It is usually a half and half mix of isopropyl alcohol and water. Use a leather conditioner afterwards, as it tends to dry out the leather. You're welcome!
Do u use hot water? I have one foot that's a size bigger than the other, just got a new pair of Ariats at Good Will(yeah new), & I dont have a steamer. But I do have a humidifier. So. I've filled it with super hot water & thought I'd steam the inside after sitting the exterior of the boot in water for a bit. I've already applied Mink Oil to the outside, & I picked up a plastic Shoe Tree stretcher for $.50 at Good Will. I just didn't know whether to use super hot water if it might change the tanning because I'm only doing left boot. I guess I'll try warm.
We recommend using a stretching solution instead of warm water to be safe because it's alcohol based and doesn't leave marks. It also dries quickly. With stretch solution you can be sure with just doing one that the finish will stay the same.
However if you want to try with warm water I'd recommend wetting them both and just stretching the one.
Thanks. I've tried my method & it may have helped a little, but it feels like it's just returning back to the same size after wearing them a while Boot Barn said they have a free stretching service just their 30min up the mtn. & I have to leave them, so 2 trips. Anyhow, Cheers from AZ✌🤠

For the instep I didnt have a ball bat so i used a toy light saber basically anything firm works

My boot is rubbing the skin about a half inch below my right INSIDE ankle. Help!
Try the tip at 0:40 and see if that helps soften the side seam. If the boots are leather another tip you can try is putting conditioner on the outside of the boot and working it with your hands to help soften. They should begin break in as you wear them as well. I recommend a thick sock that you scrunch down around your ankle to protect the skin as you break them in.

I had to take a pole and open the throat of my pythons. They are still super hard to get off but, I bought a boot jack.
Boot jacks are definitely a life saver!
How did you use a pole to stretch the throat of your boots? I have a pair of boots that this needs to be done to. Thank you

@@dylnfstr I got this nostalgic feeling. I actually remember when I got it. First game using it my last at bat I hit a bomb. It hit the top of the fence like dead on and bounced BACK in to the field and the left fielder caught it. 30 years later I still swear that should be a homerun and not an out. I'm pretty sure I got it at Champs back when they were actually a sports store.
you dont need to to do any of this.... if you buy REAL western boots... not the fancy $120 garbage they are showing on screen.

My 'real' boots still ankle bite. Pretty sure this guy would rather use (and possibly ruin) a cheap pair then an expensive pair
