      I tried it both ways, cold and preheated oven. I didn't notice a difference. However, for consistency going forth, I will recommend a preheated oven. I added to the description. Thank you!

    Good afternoon your cake looks absolutely gorgeous and I bet it is delicious my sister used to make one for me for my birthday every year I Iost her a few years ago to cancer and I did not have the recipe so I am going to make your cake in honor of my sister.     I Love making cakes from scratch. My Mom always made cakes from scratch. I lost my Mom 2 years ago. I miss her so much

    Did you say add salt into the flour and baking soda? And how much salt? It’s not listed under the ingredients.
    There’s a contradiction in your ingredients list, dear.
