- Über 5000 Exemplare sind zwischen 1954 und 1988 vom chinesischen Loktyp QJ gebaut worden. QJ steht für "Qian Jin", was übersetzt Fortschritt bedeutet. Der Gigant auf Schienen ist mit Tender 26 m lang und wiegt über 152 Tonnen. In den neunziger Jahren sind noch viel QJ aktiv. Sehen Sie selbst. Schon lustig. Das war vor gerade mal ca. 30 Jahren. Inzwischen hat China 38.000 km Hochgeschwindigkeitsnetz und das Drittweltland Deutschland - in dem der erste ICE etwa zum Zeitpunkt der Entstehung dieses Videos fuhr und der Transrapid entwickelt wurde - um die 2.500 km. Applaus! Applaus!

towns where steam still carried people to work , just like the Uk in the 1950 s . Really glad I went . The Chinese are good workers .

What memories! I spent weeks in January 1995 around Jing Peng Pass, Dongsheng etc. One day was -28C. Thanks for taking me back.
Diese Maschinen habe ich schon oft in Büchern gesehen, zum ersten mal das ich darüber ein Video finde und ich bin fasziniert. Große Klasse diese Aufnahmen.
Alles unfassbar beeindruckend: Die Landschaft, die Loks, das Leben dort. Wahnsinn.
Das Leben dort ....ganz sicher eine Art Wahnsinn .... aber in keiner Weise frei .
Auf die krude, chinesische Art des "Beeindruckens" kann ich persönlich lebenslang gerne verzichten.
Aus meiner ganz subjektiven Sicht die "fortschrittlichste" Diktatur der Welt.
Was für Helden im Führerstand! Und dann noch immer am Quarzen, als ob nicht alles schon schlimm genug wäre. :-)

phantastische Aufnahmen - beeindruckend die "Standzeit" der Abdampfwolken......die -25°C sind durchaus nachvollziehbar. Kleine Ningelei am Rande: Achsfolge 1'E ( 0:08)? Ist doch wohl eher 1'E1'
So eine Maschine hab ich uin Nankin gesehen. Staunte nicht schlecht beim genauer hinschauen im Fuehrerstand. Eine Lokfuehrerin und sehr jung noch dazu. 🤗. Gelebte Gleichberechtigung. Es war ein Gueterzug.

you wouldn't have to worry about getting sunburned riding on any of those cars it was pulling; that huge pall of smog blocks out the sun for most of the length of the train :P
most of it is water vapour. You can see it dissipate to nothing whereas the smoke is black.
@@ihateemael its composition wasn't my point. even if it does dissipate, it still manages to shade a large portion of the train cars. and i DID call it "smog", which is a combination of smoke and water vapor ... actually, that's where the word "smog" comes from; it's a mashup of the words "smoke" and "fog"

Das ist bei chinesischen Loks so üblich und meines Wissens auch bei manchem amerikanischen Loks zu finden.
Ein Drucklufthorn ist nahezu wartungsfrei und kann auch im strengsten Winter nicht einfrieren. Druckluft haben sie wegen der Bremsen ja eh an Bord. Und es klingt trotzdem total unpassend!
Dieser Film ist aus einer anderen Welt: "Bahnreisen ist in China nicht besonders komfortabel" ... :-)

Auch China hat schönere Dampflokomotiven. Die Schornstein-Vorwärmer-Dom-Verkleidung mit integrierten Luftleitblechen, wie sie bei der QJ und der JS verwendet wird, ist halt echt nicht besonders schön.

I've got a book on these Chinese locos and they're not in the same class. Their rating, horsepower wise, is ~3500hp.
Pretty good, but the rating explains the double heading - the very thing Big Boys and other articulates were made to avoid.

Паровоз - это сила! Пусть КПД паровой машины 30% но все равно это мощнейшие локомотивы. Кстати России стоит подумать о расконсервации своих паровозов, если русские дельцы не продали их на металлолом. Хотя солярки в России хватает. Все равно уголь дешевле.
Да уже сгнили поди(ни одного видео нет про консервацию паравозов ) или в Китай спихнули .а саляра дорожает чють ли не каждый день.
Можно паровозы и на альтернативу перевести вода -водород -вода и тд
КПД паровоза - 3%.

@@nawclukf48 Die die dort waren berichten einhellig, dass es in China kaum Probleme bereitet, bei Industriebahnen zu drehen und bereitwillig eine umfangreiche Bewegungsfreiheit auf dem Betriebsgelände gewährt wird.
