My priority has always been Barca and tbh his bayern journey was underrated just becoz he tried to use the same strategy which he used during the domestic league he suffered but winning in different leagues with different strategy is never easy.
Likewise. Watching Pep's Barca from his first season there, I immediately loved football even more. The brand of football his teams play is just breath taking and a joy to watch.
Part of what makes Guardiola a great manager is how he plays to his teams strengths rather than trying to force a round peg into a square hole like certain other "great" managers do
He mostly forced them into his sytem at Bayern, he did some adjustments, but Müller as CM, the Manzucic issue, Götze, Alaba in the middle, the gameplan against Real, 1 vs 1 against Barca...
At barca, he already had most of the players he needed so Pep doesn't need to sign much. At Bayern, the available players are already good enough (bar a few exception) so Pep need to make a few signings. Meanwhile at City, only a few players can play in Pep's team. So Pep need to offload and sign a lot of players, and by this time, Pep's type of players are either highly rated in the market or are crucial for their team so they had a high pricetags (also, england's transfer is overly bloated)
Amongst other videos, this video in particular has helped me become very very good on FIFA 21 by emulating a mix of his Manchester City and Bayern tactics with Real Madrid. Thank you.
Great general overview. But of course he changed the system a lot. In the first season at Bayern Lahm played full defensive midfielder. From the second season on Bayern often played a back three. I would love to see analysis of 2005/06 final between Barca & Arsenal. Still can't believe how Arsenal played well with 10 men on the pitch, almost beating them in the final 😁
I've watched every player on full matches, I've play'd video-games on top level, and I've noticed that: you should always keep the formation simple and symmetric, only players can change their positions if they are clinical in their other positions, so if you want to become for example a passer from dribbler you can if you are clinical in your role!!! As for me I've play'd a: CB's tackling, passing, shooting position, and a: WF's dribbling, passing, shooting position!!!
in barca, Puyol used to stay in the center and then in front of him there was a line of 3: busquets in the middle, pique a little bit to the right and abidal a bit to the left. its not often that we saw busquets having to go back and stay between the two defenders. enless if maxuell was playing, cause he would be were Villa normally played (wide at the left wing) and then with one less player behind to build, busquets wouldnt be so high at the peach like when Abidal plays. thats why some times when Maxuell used to play Guardiola use to put Keita on the game. so that xavi wouldnt have to change his position to much (with busquets between the two defenders xavi would have to go a little bit back on the peach).
he adapted to each team’s and country’s football, while still remaining true to his principles, adapting to the way the opposition plays but also keeping his main tactics.

His Barca was the best football team ever, however, there was something very special aesthetically about the front 6 of Sane Aguero Sterling Silva De Bruyne Fernandinho, so well balanced and complementary
Great video, but I think you underestimate how high City's fullbacks drift up. A lot of times City does look like what you showed with the inverted fullbacks during build up, but as City push higher and higher up the pitch and the opposition is basically forced into crowding their own box, the fullbacks for City get high and even overlap the wingers.

Wonderful video, great and detailed analysis, maybe emphasize more that in barca the Messi-Alves combination was for Messi to go inside the box an Dani open, in Bayern Ribery-Alaba was to Ribery stay open in order to have more one on one, and for Alaba (since he is taller) finish some plays as a "9" inside the box, and in city in both sides the wingers stay really wide in order to create space for the ineriors.
I'd still say , if u don't believe Pep is the best Tactical manager out there since the last decade ? U just a hater , I don't take trophies in account but the playstyle. His tactics are way Outta world , most of the times his team loses coz of players mistake rather than tactics . The chances he gives to youngsters r another factor.
Actually he is better than zidane and klopp
@@kasrapop Much better. Pep is a genius tactician and one of the biggest influences in modern football
@@kasrapop that's what I believe , 2 years ago , nobody said Klopp's better , they won the ucl n now people been thinking he's this n that. His system is broken now , if he doesn't evolve he won't win .as for Zidane , his first spell was actually very good coz other players also showed n not just Ronaldo but after that he went like Valverde , used Ronaldo like Valverde used Messi . The difference is Ramos ,bale n Benzema showed but nobody stepped up for Barca .
@@thuo1000 well actually , people Hates him coz he spends money 😂 that's the ridiculous reason coz any manager they can name won all the stuff either with star or with money.
Tactical yes definitely but not the most efficient when winning trophies
Awesome video! And a really eloquent explanation, thank you. Increased my curiosity to learn about football even more, specially after discovering that countries have different traditional styles, i wonder how the match ups look in Champions League.
Even though i'm brazilian i never really liked football because i couldn't understand (or it's people, becaused they acted like lunatics), and there were no way to truly inform myself growing up. But now that i'm trying to become a better athlete and thinker i want to learn from other disciplines.
His Barca was the best football team ever, however, there was something very special aesthetically about the front 6 of Sane Aguero Sterling Silva De Bruyne Fernandinho, so well balanced and complementary
Brilliant Analysis 👏🏿😊
Wow. Amazing stuff 🙌
amazing content. Congrats
Great video as always. Hopefully you can make analysis about Super Pippo 😁
One of the best channel's I have ever watched
Please make a video on Chris Wilder (Sheffield United's coach)
Possession game with different formation, and they play stable and win trophies.
Awesome breakdown
Wow, this is great analysis.
Hahahaha No guiding rule just park the bus
👏🏻 ❤️Thanks, mate. Save my day...
Great analysis
Great video, but I think you underestimate how high City's fullbacks drift up. A lot of times City does look like what you showed with the inverted fullbacks during build up, but as City push higher and higher up the pitch and the opposition is basically forced into crowding their own box, the fullbacks for City get high and even overlap the wingers.
