Hi, I'm on Arch and after the update the waybar doesn't start, I have to restart it with CTRL + SHIFT + B, and the wallpaper doesn't load even when restarting it with CTRL + SHIFT + W, nor does the application start. Any suggestions?

For workspaces 1-12 I use the keybinds, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, -, =, and now - and = wont work. They previously worked fine and I could swap between all twelve spaces. Now only 1 - 0 work.
No his dotfiles will not work with KDEneon One very large issue is ubuntu 24.04 does not have the libraries, or program versions needed to run the current (or recent) version of Hyprland. 0.39 I believe it the newest that you can use with ubuntu 24.04.
@@mylinuxforwork KDE Neon is based on Ubuntu. I think it would be interesting to have a series of videos on transforming the base of hyprland until it reaches what the script currently does. It would help people who use other distros, or who want to achieve the same result.
bad experience, I have updated and it does not load the wallpaper, it loads an image called blank.png, I have corrected it manually (before doing that I ran the setup again, and even deleted all the previous configurations, nothing worked) but now I cannot run the wallpaper loading script, which modifies and changes the colors automatically depending on the wallpaper that is selected.

Solution for no waybar and wallpaper after Updating Arch Linux today to Linux 6.12.6-arch1-1 Install rebuild-detector ( I am using paru) paru -S rebuild-detector checkrebuild the output tells you the packages with foreign In my case those have been: hyprshade python-imageio python-imageio-ffmpeg python-screeninfo waypaper Rebuild them with the followong commands: paru -S hyprshade --rebuild paru -S python-imageio --rebuild paru -S python-imageio-ffmpeg --rebuild paru -S python-screeninfo --rebuild paru -S waypaper --rebuild reboot
Im not sure if its an issue with ur dotfiles or not, as I never installed hyprland as is, but for some reason your config is pretty slow. It takes at least 2 seconds to open basic things like file explorer. I dont think my pc is that bad lol.
@mylinuxforwork Any program really other than the terminal. Nautilus file manager, Firefox browser, the welcome and settings app, etc. I just timed it, the welcome app took 3.5 sec to open. The file manager is inconsistent, sometimes it opens in 0.5 seconds, sometimes 2.5. Just sluggish overall. Maybe I should reinstall?
Problem after update: Black background with no waybar. Just as installation finishes where it asks if you want to reboot - in the Copy section i noticed an error. cp: cannot create regular file '/usr/bin/com.ml4w.welcome': text file busy ::Execute: hyprctl keyword general:border_size 1 ok :: Execute: hyprctl keyword general:no_border_on_floating false ok :: Execute: hyprctl keyword decoration:blur:enabled true ok

@@space_audits I had some python packages that needed to be rebuilt. Try rebuild-detector and then clean build the listed packages.

What’s the base system of KDENeon? The dotfiles are supporting Arch and Fedora based distributions.

Please choose another wallpaper with waypaper. This should fix it.

The problem is that the script that allows you to choose the wallpaper and that automatically changes the colors no longer works.
@ you mean pywal. Can you enter wal -h into your terminal. If this works switch to the wallpaper folder and enter wal -i default.jpg

Please open the welcome app and then installation options. Switch your shell to zsh and try again.

Looks strange. Can you check if the welcome executable exists in /usr/bin/
@@mylinuxforwork there is no welcome executable in bin. I have tried reinstalling 3 times so far.
@@mylinuxforwork i can manually start waybar, but it is in standard configuration (ugly). This is the first time i've had any issue updating.
