Summer Model Train Operating Session: More N scale operations on the C&NW themed GMM!

Milo and I were invited back to our friend Jim K for another operating session on his N scale Chicago and Northwestern themed layout in late June 2024. We enjoy all aspects of the hobby, but we find operations to be one of our favorites. Jim has a special family connection to the C&NW and that increases the fun for all of us.
Jim uses switch lists created in Excel to facilitate car movement on his layout. This N scale layout has some features of the Sioux Falls, SD metro area, but is not modeled after any particular prototype. He uses a Digitrax DCC command station and UT4D throttles for train control.
