What would you call it, irony, that doctors dismiss those who talk of food, herbs and oils to combat illnesses, then tell us to avoid certain foods and vitamins because - they affect us, and the drugs they give?

Some people think everything they disagree with is propaganda. And everything they agree with is automatically true. Confirmation bias is strong.
My confirmation bias tells me that the info I’ve seen about this virus is good enough reason to hang back and be cautious. Other people’s confirmation bias says it’s the government trying to gain control over its citizens. I’m not entirely unsympathetic to that. You can really tell what people actually fear fundamentally when you look at their reaction to this virus lol.
I wont say either fear is unfounded. People who make you feel stupid for being afraid of the virus... well. They’re afraid of something else. We’re all afraid of something. We want our safety. But also our freedom. And comfort. And luxuries. Earth is cruel. Humans are humans. When you come across these people, try to remember. They are also afraid, just afraid of something else.

The Dunning-Kruger effect. As people become more knowledgeable about a topic, their confidence generally declines until they reach true expertise, at which point it generally goes up again. People who know just the basics of a thing generally feel quite confident, but that initial arrogance fades quickly without great self-awareness.

Sad to see so many people's "sense" is negative. I'm very much confident that the virus itself is not going to be a big problem for us, but this panic setting in is concerning. People should avoid mass media and concern themselves with their friends and family. David Schurr I take ACV (apple cider vinegar) capsules every day for their numerous other benefits. Low pH has bad side effects on me. But I can't drink the stuff straight without gagging. I would say yes though, take it if you can. It won't make you any more susceptible. Have with a meal or on full stomach

David Schurr I find the acv supplement very helpful, but I never thought about how it might increase immunity. Mostly, I had very bad effects from being too alkaline and it seemed like adding acid to fight the symptoms of that (indigestion what have you) was not logical. But I am 100% keto, for over a year, and those other symptoms went away with that. The ACV was a recent discovery for me, and a game changer. Hope you get a good effect too! But cutting out sugar is the biggest thing I have done for my health. I used to get flu and colds several times each year. No Sugar alone stopped that chaos. I loved that sugar. Like a heroin addict with heroin probably worse to be honest.

Sure there are some cases in warmer countries, but nothing like the number of cases in the cooler climates like Northern Italy. There is a narrow band 30-50 N corridor where temperatures are 5-11C or 41-51F where this virus is wreaking havoc. Go south of this strip where the temperatures are warmer and the virus is not doing much. Look at the low number of cases in India where it's hot right now. What few cases they have, most of them traveled there from other countries and already had the virus.

That being said, why in the world aren't doctors everywhere treating every single person who is on a respirator with this medicine? I understand that in typical everyday life, there should be double blind clinical trials, etc. BUT, this is clearly NOT typical everyday life and exceptions need to be made. So why aren't they? Are there horrible side effects with chloroquine and/or the dosages of zinc needed? If so, are the side effects worse than dying in a hospital alone? What's the holdup in administration of this drug to hospital patients?

Governments should install a coronavirus screening programme for everyone.
Even if a person has contracted the virus but is not showing symptoms or only have mild symptoms, this still stops them going out and infecting others.
Over here where I live in Thailand, unscrupulous hospitals and medical practices are charging 1000USD for a coronavirus test. Which means those who have a bout of regular influenza, out of fear may panic and want to be tested and medical practices are cashing in on this fear. I dare say this is happening in America and other countries too.
This means that many who cannot afford to be tested may have the disease, not have symptoms and spreading it.
A lot more needs to be done by governments, even installing mobile testing facilities for communities.
But so far I don`t see anything like this happening, not anywhere.

When it reach to 40 degree c here in Pakistan even the mosquitoes vanishes bcz of heat so I think Corona will also or will become less transmissible .....and Australia and other countries near to the equator are not that much hot...I don't think it can reach to 43 or 44....

Heat does not make this virus go away, our body temperature goes higher than this and they are still living in us. People from India and other high climate countries are suffering from the virus.

They live in us because they need a host to survive but if it is in the air and it is hot and they are exposed to sunlight they will die

    Who is this talking?
The reason why NYC has more coronavirus patients is that NYC has conducted more testings and the numbers go up as a result of that.
This doctor should not say what he said in this video.

It's not that summer is going to completely stop it. The heat is going to slow it down and there will be a lot fewer cases. For example Africa, Australia are seeing very few cases at the moment. There's still cases but not as much as China, N Korea or Seattle are seeing.

After we stop quarantining, doesn't it just come roaring back then...?

  • @________x______________
    @________x______________ 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Instead of hoping for the eventual end to social distancing and self quarantining, we need to transition our society into one that allows for this to become the norm. We must make technological changes to the entire world like drone-assisted delivery of everything and complete virtual socializing using video phone and VR suits. The reason for this is that eventually humans will get hit by a super bug that is not only good at spreading fast, but also has a very high mortality rate. The entire human race will be wiped out in days. The only survivors will be people who were already isolated. But they will eventually run out of resources and die as well. It’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when. It’s just a scientific fact. We are obviously incapable of doing on an as-needed basis because we are not set up for it.
We will not have to give up any of our comforts, like our favorite foods of activities at all. Because if our infrastructure is set up probably, we will still be able to have everything we need. Technology is already moving in that direction anyway.
