Appreciate pros are sponsored and paid to play clubs but just curious to what extent that influences their club choice decisions. Do you think all of them compromise performance for money in the end or do you think all the clubs are the same and therefore it doesn't really matter what they play therefore it makes sense for them to just take the money?
Can understand the point Bill but hope you’re wrong I must confess. Would be pretty disheartening if pros were potentially giving up a few shots here and there which could win tournaments to prioritise playing gear which they had chosen based on $ as the tipping point.
@@GolfingFocus well, the way I look at it, a company that has enough money to pay a pro to use its products, probably makes a product that a pro would use even if he wasn’t getting paid. I’ve used Sacks Parente, Ping, Odyssey, Scotty Cameron and Taylor Made. If you blindfolded me I probably couldn’t putt better with one over the other. If you paid me to use one over the other, you can bet I would use it.

Most important question not awnsered though. Share of players using a centre shaft putter and share of players putting dressed to the right?
What's your hunch on what the proportions would be and what that would tell us?
If a pro is offered money to use a particular putter, he or she would use a tree branch, as long as the money is right.
It would look ridiculous,,but you're right!

@@GolfingFocus I think all clubs are close enough that money is the tipping point.
