I recently purchased this Proyama gas powered mower and was pleasantly surprised by the high performance, easy of operation, quality of construction and price. I decided to buy their multi function tools as I started to cut my own lawn between my twice monthly commercial lawn maintenance.
Thank you Brock. This would work extremely well for that area that didn’t clear as nicely as you had hoped with the controlled burn you showed the other day.
Awesome! Definitely looks like it can get through rough thick weeds and brush. Man that wood shed is nice that you built it up high, great work bench and seat lol I use my rv porch deck I built for same reasons also.
Thank you Mark. It has become a standby for me to use to record on. I like the background and like you said the elevated deck. This trimmer is very nice buddy. I have edited some footage of the tristar blade and the string line. Speed feed fits too! 😉
Mr Joe. Awesome Video. I think you are going to like the wide handles on that. Those different type of blades are gonna give you lots of options. Ive used the heck out of a tri start cutter on my sthil and have been impressed with the saplings & trees ive been able to cut down with it
Excellent price for sure! It will easily do everything I ask of it. I cannot believe I am saying this but I actually want to get out and run it! Thanks Tom.
Wow those are a good price. I see for little more they have combos that have a pole saw attachment. I cant believe i am saying this but tje build quality seems pretty good with the proyama brand. Id like to maybe try ther little top handle some day.
The build is very nice. Everything is nice on the unit. I like my ECHO air cleaner cover a bit more cause it has a thumb screw. This has a clip. More to come on this unit for sure. I have LOTS to do with it!
I got the echo pas 2620 attachment system last year and I've been really happy with it. Tiller, pole saw, edger, trimmer, and I'm going to pick up a brush cutter shortly. Let me know what blade works the best for saplings and thick bushes. Would help me know what to buy
I sure will friend! I have a video coming out where I run the string line and the tristar blade. For most of my usage, i am sure the blade will be the best. I will still be doing some testing. This has been a game changer for sure because I am able to go through and cut out the small stuff that was too much for string and a pain with loppers and chainsaws. Thank you again!
@oakiewoodsman I was leaning towards the chainsaw blade just because it can be re sharpened. The skill saw blade would probably suck to sharpen. I've never seen a tri star blade up close so idk how they'd be to sharpen. I have tons and tons of really thick, woody bushes I need to hack over that are blocking a river view. Probably thousands of 1/2-1 1/2 inch sticks and bush stems. I don't want to have to keep buying new blades. Is the skill saw blade carbide tipped or no? Thanks for the help.
Yes, the circular blade is carbide tipped. I am not sure that it really needs to be extremely sharp. Just a durable tip. It likely just depends on the specific task. The tri blade is very blunt and tends to shred. I wouldn’t use it on anything greater than pencil sized wood.
@@oakiewoodsman yeah durability is more important. I wonder how the chainsaw blade does. At least it has the option to be re sharpened even tho it's probably not as durable.
Proyama Sells parts through amazon. If you follow this link This Proyama Brush Cutter is available on Amazon HERE: amzn.to/3PKSBEu and look at their store, you can find parts. Also, if you email their support side, they are responsive.
It looks like a clone of the Echo SRM-410U (42.7 cc) brush cutter to some degree. $219.99/$659.99 = 1/3 the cost. I look forward to seeing how it does for you. This may see more use than your top handle Proyama chainsaw. I don't judge any products by initial impressions. I purchased my 32 cc McCulloch grass trimmer/brush cutter in 1994 for $219.99 from a local saw shop. It's the only trimmer I have ever owned, & I take care of a couple different properties most years. My old machine is a bit of a hybrid (has a long bar for your left hand placement & a shoulder strap that works quite well). Just another observation - my older trimmer has a metal guard that remains on when using the brush blade. A removable larger plastic shield attaches to the smaller metal guard. The plastic shield is for string trimming, and has the blade to cut the line the proper length. I notice the Echo SRM-410U also has a similar metal shield. I must admit that I like this metal shield. When I cut larger saplings, I can bump them against the metal shield & it holds the blade steady while it zips through them. I would say my old McCulloch design seems superior to the new Echo design, but I like that the metal shield is there. If I was cutting smaller stuff, I may not care. It seems like most Stihl, Husqvarana, & Echo combination grass/brush trimmers lack this metal shield all together, but I can honestly say I would miss it. I have always thought I would buy an Echo when my old McCulloch dies. In the meantime, you may convince me Proyama is the way to go! The price is right if it does the job for years to come! Last point - Echo Speed Feed 400 is the best addition I made to my old trimmer. It's an awesome product, & I have bought replacement caps to extend the life of it.
Super interesting conversation here DH! I am hoping that if there are some knowledgeable people out there, maybe someone will recognize some similarities. Who know. This power head starts and idles extremely well. Not a light weight unit but that is why it had the straps. It even has a metal gas tank guard on it. More to come sir!
Almost seems too good to be true for the price! Curious how it'll hold up, probably pretty well. I just wish there were more clone strimmers/brush cutters in the 30+cc range that had the option of a D-type handle, for us larger guys (6'2", 235lb) that prefer that style.
I will tell you what, I don’t see anything blatantly worrisome at this point in time. Everything seems very stout thus far and the build quality is excellent upon initial look and usage. I suppose the strap could be a bit better explained in the manual. That is all I have for now! Starts and runs great! Thanks AP
Nothing to do with you excellent vid but can someone explain to me why China is allowed to sell clone non epa small engines in the USA and the original manufacturers who are our nato allies can’t? Not to get political but it smells like government corruption to me and when we buy that kind of product we are basically supporting it. 🤷🏽♂️
This came with an EPA certification in the papers. I know there are likely some that don’t. in an upcoming video, I address this because I feel like pro. Yama is doing a good job following the rules and doesn’t have the same competitive advantage as some of the other companies out there selling inexpensive gasoline stuff. For example, harbor freight has to meet all the regulations with their stuff with predator and all their other engines. Those are also Chinese and for sure there are some that do not meet all those regulations. Keep in mind the EPA certification from my understanding is also only good for a certain amount of hours on the two-stroke equipment. is that true? That is at least my understanding. Thank you for watching and I appreciate the thoughtful comment. I think that you may be impressed with the upcoming footage of this thing running coming out this weekend.
You aren’t curious how China manages to meet epa standards without autotune or cat mufflers? When Stihl and Husqvarna can’t? It’s because they are allowed to have different standards which is pretty much my point 🤷🏽♂️ Anyway 👍🏼
Anyway, I’m just commenting to comment. Obviously you and I don’t have anything to do with the back door deals that go on but I thought I’d get folks thinking about the government corruption that goes on behind closed doors and it isn’t benefiting the consumer. If stihl was allowed to bring back their 0 series and husqvarna the pre xtorq 3 series, they would fly off the shelves but they can’t. Meanwhile, China can sell a 2nd rate clone of those saws. I find government corruption like that infuriating. I mean they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. Yet we seam to support the practice at our own detriment 🤷🏽♂️ Oh well, nobody in power today cares what we think anyway 😉
All the manufacturers including stihl and Husqvarna make saws without AutoTune. They also make saws without cats as well. I am pretty sure of it. They are just muffled down extremely. I could be wrong.
Sweet Proyama seems to be one of the better Chinese brands 👍
It appears as if that is correct. I will be running both these tools more and more. Thank you again!

I love my Proyama chainsaws I have 2, this brush cutter would be very handy.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to share. Have you had them long?
Over a year now - the 60cc that comes with the 20 and 24 inch bars is crazy powerful - no issues and the start every time
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Holy smoke, Joe, they're on for a great price, too. Good stuff.
I thought it was pretty good myself. Appreciate you Kenny!
