      rubitrek vs wildpeak. almost the same tire with a different treat design. looks like rubi is possibly quieter, better on road while wild would do better in mud and standing water. it's like why did falken make 2 tires that are so close?

    I've had 4 sets of Falken Wildpeak ATs and love them. Just traded my truck in with 53,000 miles on the Wildpeaks and they had plenty of tread remaining. There are very quiet and have had great luck with them, primarily on street but some ranch roads. Had three lifted trucks with 35s and also put them on my wife's Yukon.

    Toyo AT3,Falken Wildpeak At3w,KO2s,Yokohama Geolandar AT G015,can't really go with either but I'm leaning towards the Toyo then the Geolandar...

      Comparing Geolandar G015 (to Toyo AT3), the tire is going to be more comfortable off the two (that's the main one), the tire is also better on roads overall

    I have had the Falkens on my 4Runner for about 30,000 miles and won't be buying them again. They are worn out already and I have rotated them regularly. I love the Falkens in snow (I go to Colorado a lot) but besides wearing out early, they also have some dry rot. I will either try Toyos or BFGs next.

    • @comparethetire
      @comparethetire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they are both good enough to give you lasting tread. But then again you are going to have to compromise a little on roads (especially on wet). But hydroplaning is not going to be an issue.

    • @comparethetire

      Its everything. We try to bring the best info possible. So we test these tires out and then we look at their rubber composition/tread pattern and try to calculate everything (on the paper). After this we see/make sure if our theory matches the results. Then we look at other tests performed, before putting content out there.
      We are just starting out and with the support of people like you, we can get even more sophisticated at it. For now you can rely on the tire rack's testing if you've any doubt on this. ( www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=293 )

    It all depends on what your primary use is for the vehicle the tires are going on. I very seldom go off-road. I use my truck to pull a 19ft bass boat so I want a quieter ride and less weight for better fuel economy along with the rare off road trip so the Toyo is the logical choice for me.

      I’m with the author….some tires come with zero warranty. Most are around 40k maximum so the 50k wildpeaks are higher standard than most and that 65k is awesome. But only 15k miles. Which, for me, is only 3 months or so. I’ve run wildpeaks for well over 100k miles and I’ve averaged at least 70k per set. And that’s by state inspection measurement laws in New Hampshire. But I don’t really get the “lol” part of it unless the mileage warranty is how you choose your tires. And if that’s so….then, LOL!!!

Tire warranties are used to push people towards that tire instead of looking at tire ratings.
