Oliver Johnson to be fair, Most of the masks have a one time use to them. The all night mask is used to listen to a story, and that's it, The circus leaders mask is used to get a few chicks to grow up, and Kamaro's mask is used to impress those two dancers, just to name a few.

If you help the Old Lady, Sakon obviously doesn't go to sell the stolen goods. A similar thing happens wih the All-Night's Mask were you have to save the Old Lady so that the Curiosity Shop Owner is forced to sell it in the final night, due to the lack of items in stock.
Oliver Johnson Kafei only finds out about Sakon's hideout in Ikana Canyon after Sakon delivers the Bomb Bag to the Curiosity Shop, with no Bomb Bag to deliver, he never shows up and Kafei never sees him.
Majora's Mask is one of the greatest games I've ever played. The world is fascinating and the Mask culture combined with the extremely dark yet lighthearted atmosphere that explores so much about life and its challenges makes this game an absolute treat to play.
I was playing through 3D and simply couldn’t find that darn last mask before I went to the moon! I watched this video and slammed my head against a wall for 15 minutes because the supposed “missing mask” was the Fierce Deity’s.
Just a a change in the 3ds version you guys don't mention, you can get the final wallet upgrade in any of the 3 days, but you have to kill all the Skutullas until the end of that day. I get my wallet on day 3.
Is anyone else sad about how they changed the Garo Hood into the Garo Mask? I used to love running around with the Garo Hood on, it's much less intimidating now. xc
Sam Hassel actually I liked the Zora swimming, it's a lot more manageable now that you can choose between fast and slow. and since (Don't know how to spell it) Romani is easy to get its still fun.

Two masks I always forget how to get, is the Keaton's mask, and the mailman's hat. They're actually super easy to get as long as you know how it's done. But figuring it out on your own will be a total surprise if you found it. The hardest mask for me to find on my own was the stone mask, and it's one of the most useful masks. I knew how to get all/most of the masks by heart, but this one was tricky to find in the 3DS version. Thanks to the bombers for giving me a hint.

No not really. You have to be somewhat speedy. It is 100% possible to do it without the bunny hood but it's recommended because there are timed doors that close if you take too long. Also if the butler gets too far ahead, you can get lost because of dead ends as well.
Them changing the location of the stone mask really threw me for a loop. For the first time in a long while I had to do the Pirate's Fortress legit. I think it was a nice touch that Tatl notices somethings around when you get close while still being pretty vague.
It's a bit late for this, but I feel I should mention that you don't actually need the Room Key for the Anju/Kafei sidequest. If you don't have the key, Anju will kick you out when she closes for the night, but the door on the roof is always left unlocked. Use the nearby Deku flower to fly up there and enter. This is very important in the N64 version because, if you talk to Anju before the postman comes, she won't give you the key at all.

The only thing that having the room key does for the quest is you get some back story by interacting with the damaged wall at (I think)9pm on Night 2 after you have given Anju the Pendant of Memories.

one of the brothers glichted out for me. I ram him into a fence and well: That made it pretty easy. Although I also needed quite a few times until that happened. But it was fun to see him literally stuck in the fence :-)
13:50 I got cheated out of getting this mask on my first attempt to complete this quest I was waiting in the room for Kafei to show up and in that room was also a chest so I figured why not open it since I am here but some how I manage to open it right as Kafei was enterring the door so the cutscene of the love birds reuniting plays but they did not give me the mask
it pretty easy to farm rupees, at least later in the game with light arrows and the sharp sword. I mean: Some enemies like the ghost drop 50 rupees when killed with a light arrow. There are other enemies that drop 50 rupees also in the field around the city. On day one of a cycle, I have more trouble to get magic, bomb and arrows then to get 100 or 200 rupees.
sarowie I played the break the pots game as a zora where you get 90 rupees until I had 500 rupees, went to the bank and repeated that. I already had 3500 rupees though so it only took like 10 minutes

Masurao Katori Richardson There's an extremely easy way to farm rupys. Just go to east clock town and go the end where the mayor as house is. Climb the staircase infront of there, jump on to the small balcony then jump forward and climb up and head toward the chest, it has a silver rupee(100rupees) and then deposit into the bank, song of time and repeat. The chest always has 100 rupees and you can keep farming it over and over.

In the house of skulltulas the most useful tip is if you hear a skulltula in the room than there is. If you don't hear a skulltula in the room, then there isn't one in the room. You need all of the masks to get the fierce diety mask.
The room key is not required for the Anju/Kafei quest. You just need to talk to her with the Kafei mask on after the postman has given her a letter on the first day

I actually learned how to obtain all the masks by watching this guy on TH-cam do a walkthrough on Majora's Mask who recorded his walkthrough while playing the game on his pc.
Once you get the FD mask, you are pretty much forced to fight the final boss. After beating him and after the credits roll, once you start the save file again you'll be on the first day with all your masks back :)
Well there was this one glitch on the N64 version where if you saved your game after getting the Fierce Deity's Mask, turned the game off, then on, and you would still have it in your inventory, but it can only be used in boss fights

Kafei's Mask is actually the 3rd Mask you can get if you're going off of what can be obtained the earliest. You just need to talk to Madame Aroma after the Mayor's Residence opens at 10AM on the First Day
All of the masks do something. They either A. Give Link a special ability like the bomb mask, bunny hood, or stone mask. B. They trigger a unique dialogue or response from an NPC like Kaife's Mask, the frog hat, or the Wedding Mask. or C. They act as a key or give you the ability to access something you couldn't before. Like the mailman's cap, the cow hat thingy, or the keaton mask. But most importantly you need to collect all the masks not only if you want the Fierce Deity Mask, but also if you want the best ending to the game.
Oh my god, I feel so stupid, I nearly completed the Kafei quest but thought I missed something and reset my day. Ugh, darn it. Okay, now I'm ready to finish this!
You don't need the Room Key as part of the Anju/Kafei sidequest... just talk to Anju while wearing the Kafei mask between 2:17 and 7:00 on the first day. The Room Key is a completely separate thing.

Just some added context and notes for some of the masks Mask of Truth - If you wait until you get the Hookshot (You get it once you get to Great Bay) hunting down the Skulltula is much easier. You'll only need 1 bean but still at least one bottle but 2 or 3 would be better. Don Gero's Mask - You can only get this mask BEFORE defeating Goht, the boss of Snowhead Temple.
5:50 I HIGHLY recommend using Epona, this makes it harder sure but it's honestly really fun. How many times have you went back to Romani Ranch to do that Epona training run? Trust me it's very fun and feels much better once you finish
Though, you CAN get both the Postman's hat and finish Anju+Kafei's sidequest in the same cycle. My time management was very precise on it... I gave the postman the priority mail when I could, let him do his thing, then rushed over to ikana canyon (without warping... apparently sakon hadn't gotten there yet), and waited next to kafei. After doing that shenanigans, when I arrived back in clock town, the postman was waiting for me at the east exit in clock town, and i received the postman's hat.
actually you can talk to Anju at any time after the mailman arrives at about 2 AM on the first day, but you still need the room key to stay inside the inn at 8:30 PM
You don't need the Room Key to complete the Anju/Kafei sidequest. All you have to do to trigger it is to speak to Anju while wearing Kafei's Mask after she receives a letter from the Postman. The key's only purpose is to net you an extra 100 Rupees and make it less of a hassle to get inside the inn after hours, and even then, using the nearby Deku Flower to get in through the top door is child's play.
The Keaton Mask can be obtained even earlier in the 3DS version. I was able to grab it at 6am on the third day. I was surprised to see the door was unlocked. I don't know if this was a bug in my copy or not, but I think it's safe to say that it was a welcomed change in the remake
Just a tip: Even if you don't get the key from Anju, you can instantly skip to the First Night with Kafei's Mask and still make the meeting, however, you must talk to her with said mask before closing time. Once there, you can still go inside the inn from the top floor after closing, meeting Anju at midnight and still getting the letter to Kafei from the Postman. Skip to the second night and you can instantly talk to Kafei at the hangout. Think of it as a completion speedrun strat. I lost count how many times I 100% this game lol

I’m on the original version and I followed this video to when on the third day you go to Kafei’s house between 1pm - 6pm to find the curiosity shop guy. However when I go there I find Kafei is just waiting there saying he’s waiting for “that guy to show up”
Oh man, the Stone Mask guy is in the pirates' fortress now? That was my favorite place to use the mask. :P I'd guess that's why they moved it there. It really makes that area easy. The Stone Mask is one of my favorite masks to use in the game. Just nice to not be visible to all the baddies of the game. ;) Good walkthrough on the mask fetching!
Quick correction, only in the original are you required to be on the first day to get the giant's wallet. In the remake I have completed the spider house on both the second and third day in separate files and managed to obtain the wallet regardless.

In the house of skulltulas the most useful tip is if you hear a skulltula in the room than there is. If you don't hear a skulltula in the room, then there isn't one in the room. You need all of the masks to get the fierce diety mask.
The room key is not required for the Anju/Kafei quest. You just need to talk to her with the Kafei mask on after the postman has given her a letter on the first day

I actually learned how to obtain all the masks by watching this guy on TH-cam do a walkthrough on Majora's Mask who recorded his walkthrough while playing the game on his pc.

Once you get the FD mask, you are pretty much forced to fight the final boss. After beating him and after the credits roll, once you start the save file again you'll be on the first day with all your masks back :)

Well there was this one glitch on the N64 version where if you saved your game after getting the Fierce Deity's Mask, turned the game off, then on, and you would still have it in your inventory, but it can only be used in boss fights

Kafei's Mask is actually the 3rd Mask you can get if you're going off of what can be obtained the earliest. You just need to talk to Madame Aroma after the Mayor's Residence opens at 10AM on the First Day
Are most of these mask's just wearable trophies? Seems like only a few of them are actually useful and the rest are just cosmetic.
All of the masks do something. They either A. Give Link a special ability like the bomb mask, bunny hood, or stone mask. B. They trigger a unique dialogue or response from an NPC like Kaife's Mask, the frog hat, or the Wedding Mask. or C. They act as a key or give you the ability to access something you couldn't before. Like the mailman's cap, the cow hat thingy, or the keaton mask.
But most importantly you need to collect all the masks not only if you want the Fierce Deity Mask, but also if you want the best ending to the game.

You don't need the Room Key as part of the Anju/Kafei sidequest... just talk to Anju while wearing the Kafei mask between 2:17 and 7:00 on the first day. The Room Key is a completely separate thing.

Just some added context and notes for some of the masks
Mask of Truth - If you wait until you get the Hookshot (You get it once you get to Great Bay) hunting down the Skulltula is much easier. You'll only need 1 bean but still at least one bottle but 2 or 3 would be better.
Don Gero's Mask - You can only get this mask BEFORE defeating Goht, the boss of Snowhead Temple.
5:50 I HIGHLY recommend using Epona, this makes it harder sure but it's honestly really fun. How many times have you went back to Romani Ranch to do that Epona training run? Trust me it's very fun and feels much better once you finish
Though, you CAN get both the Postman's hat and finish Anju+Kafei's sidequest in the same cycle. My time management was very precise on it... I gave the postman the priority mail when I could, let him do his thing, then rushed over to ikana canyon (without warping... apparently sakon hadn't gotten there yet), and waited next to kafei. After doing that shenanigans, when I arrived back in clock town, the postman was waiting for me at the east exit in clock town, and i received the postman's hat.
actually you can talk to Anju at any time after the mailman arrives at about 2 AM on the first day, but you still need the room key to stay inside the inn at 8:30 PM
I was able to get through the door on the second floor that you need to be Deku Link for.
You don't need the Room Key to complete the Anju/Kafei sidequest. All you have to do to trigger it is to speak to Anju while wearing Kafei's Mask after she receives a letter from the Postman. The key's only purpose is to net you an extra 100 Rupees and make it less of a hassle to get inside the inn after hours, and even then, using the nearby Deku Flower to get in through the top door is child's play.
The Keaton Mask can be obtained even earlier in the 3DS version. I was able to grab it at 6am on the third day. I was surprised to see the door was unlocked. I don't know if this was a bug in my copy or not, but I think it's safe to say that it was a welcomed change in the remake

Just a tip: Even if you don't get the key from Anju, you can instantly skip to the First Night with Kafei's Mask and still make the meeting, however, you must talk to her with said mask before closing time. Once there, you can still go inside the inn from the top floor after closing, meeting Anju at midnight and still getting the letter to Kafei from the Postman. Skip to the second night and you can instantly talk to Kafei at the hangout. Think of it as a completion speedrun strat. I lost count how many times I 100% this game lol

I’m on the original version and I followed this video to when on the third day you go to Kafei’s house between 1pm - 6pm to find the curiosity shop guy. However when I go there I find Kafei is just waiting there saying he’s waiting for “that guy to show up”
For sure I know how to get them all mask, still find it enjoyable to watch videos of it.
Oh man, the Stone Mask guy is in the pirates' fortress now? That was my favorite place to use the mask. :P I'd guess that's why they moved it there. It really makes that area easy. The Stone Mask is one of my favorite masks to use in the game. Just nice to not be visible to all the baddies of the game. ;) Good walkthrough on the mask fetching!

Quick correction, only in the original are you required to be on the first day to get the giant's wallet. In the remake I have completed the spider house on both the second and third day in separate files and managed to obtain the wallet regardless.
