Once the icon of an era, the Ecto-1 has become a legend with over 30 years of time and memories. Although old and beat-up, this massive vehicle is coming back with the familiar siren sound. As deep wrinkles have lain on the faces of the heroes who hunted down ghosts with fantastic and secret devices, the body of Ecto-1, once pure white, is stained with dirt, full of bumps and scratches now.
The body, which powerfully runs forward, is rich in various secret devices. The gunner seat pops out when the side door opens is exactly reproduced as seen in the movie. Used to catch ghosts, the R.T.V. takes off from the bottom of the vehicle body.
Ecto-1 is over 40 inches long and of unbelievable quality. In memory of the late Harold Allen Ramis, the development team of Blitzway presents you with a special memory along with the movie moving you.

Got this yesterday spent the remainder of yesterday and 3 hours this morning putting it together.
I’ve noticed the parts in particular the single hose on the side doesn’t sit properly the hose seems very tight.
The roof rack alignment pins are very tight.
The proton pack on the chair is a tight fit to affix the outer border grid on.
The clamps that hold all the hoses onto the side of the vehicle are loose and prone to popping out.
One wire was completely out of the tiny white connector - that was a joy putting it back in.
The rear battery compartment is a tight fit for the 2 lids to clip on.
All my decals appear to be straight including the rear door.
But I love it ,it’s huge !
It’s heavy and made solid.

Glad my video could help. I can't even get the border grid to snap on with mine and the clamps are loose on mine as well. I'm happy your stickers are straight though. I don't really notice anymore.
It is eye candy to look at though.
Maybe a hint to its imperfections is where they are made 🙄

On the original I have wired it in so everything runs of 1 single USB, either in mains or power bank.
I have done many mods on it and intend to do the same on the Afterlife version.
Oh man , I am afraid to even ask how you did that. Was it hard to do? I really want this to work without batteries.
@speakeasycollectibles89 For me personally, it wasn't bad, but I do this stuff. I'd say it's probably 7/10 difficulty scale.
I also wired the MP3 internally, so I don't need that hideous wire.

I really wanted the clean version but I missed out hopefully there's another one made up once firehouse finally hits the big screen.
I regret not getting the clean version. This car is amazing though. I think you will like it when you open it.
My stickers are not as bad as yours but the are still a little off. Shipping also made stuff inside come off and I had to reconnect wires. This thing is cool though.
No doubt, once I got done with my frustration and got everything working it was a thing of beauty. The stickers don’t bother me anymore. I don’t really notice anymore.

They are sending out replacement stickers but that does no good unless you know how to strip the old ones off and get it to look right again. I'm ok with it the way they are. It sucks but it is what it is.

I feel like blitzway is completely wasting the Ghostbusters license. They released one set of Ghostbusters like 10 years ago and have sat on their asses ever since. No point in an Ecto without Ghostbusters!

Yea, I contacted Blitzway when they first announced the Afterlife Ecto-1 and asked them if they would be doing a re-release of the crew. They said there were no plans to do any reissues at all. They seem fine with leaving money on the table which is really weird to me. However many AF Ectos they just made - they would sell AT LEAST that many more sets of figures - plus a bunch more to those who don't even want a 4-foot car but would still love to have the Ghostbusters in their collection.

I completely agree with you. I had so many issues with mine. I wanted to return it like 3 times but I was so exhausted in the end the thought of having to box it up again just wasn’t worth it. I fixed the problem’s but it lacks so much details.
