3DEXPERIENCE CATIA Tutorial - Use an Image file with the Sketch Tracer App

If you've ever had the need to put in a 2D image file, like a jpg, tiff, bmp, or png this will be a handy 11-minute video where we copy the existing part file using "save with options", then we'll delete out any unneeded features, and then show a cool technique for scaling an entire part. Then we'll get to use the Sketch Tracer App to insert an image file, and then once placed start sketching the outline. During the sketch you'll see some nice tips and tricks on working with splines, and some good techniques on how to close up your 2D sketch to prepare for a pad or any other closed loop feature including Autosearch and the sketch solving status tool. Once we have our completed part, we'll export it to a stl and send it to the 3D printer. The Sketch Tracer App is part of the following Roles: Mechanical & Shape Engineer, Mechanical Shape Refinement Designer, and Virtual & Real Reconstruction Designer.
