Hi, can you please advise me on sizing for Madame? I'm 162 cm, 55 kg. I have a Manuela in 40IT. It's very fitted in the shoulders and can't be worn with chunky knits. I would like to wear oversised chunky sweaters with the Madame. Do you recommend the same size, as they are different cut, or could I go with a 42? Thank you.
Hi! I didn’t try on either the IT40 or 42, so I really can’t say. I do think that it’s really important to try them on in person though so would recommend doing that if there’s a store accessible to you. I was definitely leaning towards 36 until I tried it on in person and decided I need a 38 (I like a loose fit also). Hope you find the perfect one for you!

In fact, I'd rather order a 42, but the lenght worries me, since I'm only 162 cm / that's 5'3 i think. May I ask how tall you are and if it's not too intrusive, which size do you usually wear? I'm usually 38 DE, UK10, US 6 OR 8, M.
Skinny people or small waisted people always look good with a coat belted, for me it makes me or shows off my bigger waist and makes me look fatter than i am.
Different styles definitely can accentuate or complement our body types! I’m constantly learning new things about what is more flattering for myself vs not. Thank you for sharing!
You are 178 and 120 pound. I am positive you need at least size 42 Italian size. I am 5-5 115 pound and bought size 34/ us size 0 Madame coat in camel. I am regretting so much. I should have bought size 36-38. The 2 size l Bigger even over sized coat. Trust me you will look much much rich and luxury. My two size up is 38. But I am considering Ludmilla 38-40.
I realized I need size 38 for sure. So. Basically wear full suits and wear in top of it. And it still has to be snugged. The fit is amazing luxury when is larger. However. The length has to be way below knee and the sleeve can be folded. NEVER ALTERATION.
Do you mean to never alter the length of the 101801 coat? I have another Max Mara coat that I'm thinking about altering, so am curious what you meant specifically.
Oh my. Never ever alter it. Just fold it. I saw one video this Korean lady she got them alter and regretted First of all the length / long -- the longer to cover legs near even passing knee better The arm/ sleeve. Even it covers hand. You can just fold it. I also realize I am Ok with one size larger than my normal size. My face is super small. But the snug fit is always luxury in Max Mara. I have a cashmere wrap coat in size 40. It looks good on me surprisingly. I am thinking if I want coat that fits perfect tight, I would get something for spring and fall in brand like Banana Republic and coach ect. I saw some nice coat from “Saint and Sofia” their price range is good. But max mara I would leave it large and snug. My thinking. By the way. I love your voice. Thanks.

Hi - All the coats I tried on are either a cashmere wool blend or 100% wool.
