I got my Glidecam HD2000 in 2012 after high school because I discovered your channel. Since then, it took me on my journey through many of my channels, film school, to my short films, and now it is endless to what else I would do with it. Glad they gave you an opportunity to work them. It is more flexible to work with than a motor gimbal.

I own a Devin Graham signature series glidecam and it is game changing. Had it since the day it launched and after I met Devin at NAB in 2016. My favorite part is I can balance a 200mm lens on my a7s for the most epic shots ever!

For some reasons throughout the years I've only seen from you briefly like "grab it here like that and run" )) I pretty much mastered my Glidecam XR-Pro by practicing just a lot, but would be cool if you shared your experience and tips as well.

I have a Sony a6300 and with one weight it isn't very smooth but additional weights force me to move the gimbal very far down the shaft. Anyways, thanks again for these sweet videos!

My favorite style of filmmaking and storytelling is that of Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s long takes in Birdman and the Revenant. What glidecam rig/setup would give me the best results and easiest workflow for this style.

I didn't have the money for a Glidecam at first and so got a nock off stabilizer that was decent quality while I was in Thailand and got some pretty nice shots with it, and now that I have the Devin Graham Glidecam, it makes it so much easier! One question I've had is, how do you get the good pan up and pan down shots?

It's from watching videos like this and also MattiH that I was inspired to get one. I got an XR 2000 second hand for €140 and of course the first thing I did with it was shoot my friend's wedding. 😉

What's the balancing situation like with the RED digital camera screen? I've seen many times in BTS videos that you're always adjusting the screen, so do you have to tweek the glidecam after previewing a clip?

mine won’t on screw from the top. Contacted them. $60 for labor, plus parts, and I have to pay for shipping to and from. Couldn’t even ball park me a quote even after I sent them a video of the issues. Just bought a gimbal instead haven’t turned back. Yeah glide cam is more of a natural look, but just like anything else you need to practice.
I suggest the Glidecam training series by Stefan Czech: th-cam.com/video/upJchgg1aCE/w-d-xo.html, this is the first episode and there are 7 in total. The series covers nearly all the basic and training tips you need, except the part of balancing the glidecam, but I'm pretty sure there are lots of videos out there about that.
My biggest hassel with my glidecam is how it tilts back when I run. I have tried putting it off balance into a forward position, I have tried adding more weight. I can never seem to run with it on a true horizon without my off hand putting pressure on it and making it shake. PLease help
Nowadays, Glidecam HD is now more expensive than gimbal. It is more difficult to operate and need to practice it. But it has more control than gimbal and no need any battery. There are pros and cons.

glidecam is amazing, but for those on a budget I would recommend the, yelangu s60t (it's less than a $100 and great for learning on)

The glidecam doesnt care what camera is on top of it. So you dont have to worry as long as its within the weight capacity :)
