Just shows how much James need to embrace different versions of himself to shine. If he remains stuck in one ideal or image, he loses himself.
He has such a natural softness and feel for all that pure masculine energy he emits, and this is what makes it so explosively powerful.
He really shines on the new album with some of the new vocal melodies/cadences/deliveries he recorded. The chorus of Sleepwalk really stands out to me

I read an article from Loudwire that talked about how that was the plan when this version of Blackened came out. The group decided to pivot to doing a full-length album full of new material and it was apparently Rob's idea to get started on a new album!

Such a different anatomy of the song. Caught myself many times thinking about the original vs. this and being overly impressed at the arrangement, sound and tone this version turned out to be. Such a cool change, without destroying the original version.

This song translates pretty well to acoustic with a different guitar performance. May not be better than the original but I’ve always liked this one from their acoustic setlist
