Hi everyone! The Avengers was amazing! I can't believe I am finished with Phase 1 of the MCU. This was such a fun ride and I can't wait to see what adventures are to come in Phase 2! Also, thanks for being patient with this upload. I tried to get it posted earlier today but ran into some issues and you have all been so sweet about it! You are the most amazing community and I am so grateful to get to bond with you over incredible films. ❤
Another great reaction. You’re quite perceptive. Some of your thought processes are pretty much like premonitions, but we can’t say which ones. Needless to say that if you’ve enjoyed the ride so far you’ve definitely got some enjoyable movies in the rest of this saga.
I'd love a way to be able to help you answer any questions you have. Sometimes, knowing someone who knows the movies well enough, and knowing what to tell you, and more importantly, know what not to tell you, will help you enjoy the next movies.
(Remember, we would have months, or so between movies, so we would obsess in between movies)

Regular human, but in the comics Natasha is one of the greatest martial artists & fighters on the planet.
Throughout most of the character's run in the 1970s through to the early 2000s she's been portrayed as having a skill level exceeding a number of excellent hand 2 hand fighters like the Punisher, Daredevil & Hawkeye.
There are only a small handful of characters in the entire Marvel universe that are on par with her in terms of skill (Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Fist, etc.)
However her lack of any superhuman abilities puts an upper limit on her effectiveness.
We should also note films don't adhere strictly to the comics.

Cap's shield is made of Vibranium. A rare metal which has certain energy conversion properties.
Avengers movies get progressively longer as the series continues. Many reactors will break them up into two or even 3 parts for YT release, which seems to help with videos being taken down or blocked.
Some reactors will release the 2nd part within an hour, others will wait as long as a month. If you do decide to split them up that way, please try to mention in the description when the 2nd part will be released; it really helps to know when to expect it.
The 3rd avengers movie (infinity war) is my personal favorite movie of the entire series. I won't ruin any of them, merely giving my opinion. The big boss ( I won't tell you his name because that would ruin a little of the fun) didn't care about earth. He just helped loki for the tesseract and in exchange loki gets earth.
"Not to men like you." "There are no men like me." "There are always men like you." After all these years, that's still one of my favorite moments of the entire MCU

Agreed, but if the mcu included Daredevil's series as canon then the finale is the best moment😂😢
But then you remember that Loki isn't a man... and all the meaning to that statement fizzles into dust...
I always find that dumb, he is not a men, but they always trying to humanize characters.
@@DJZ64X Whether the definition of Marvel's Asgardians is mythic gods, or aliens, they've always been human in their emotions, and their flaws. Loki's race is alien, but he's very much a man, for better and for worse.

One can make a case that the old man is the most courageous character we've seen in the MCU to date. No powers, every reason to think he's about to die, yet he stands up and delivers a verbal smack-down that should have the rest of the crowd feeling shameful for having kneeled in the first place.
Which, given that he knows he's about to die, was probably the old man's intent. The greatest generation indeed.

I always thought he was in the war as a young man. In fact I've wondered if he's a Holocaust survivor. They're the last to kneel to a new dictator.

"That actor" that was so familiar was Harry Dean Stanton. A legendary character actor. I love that he asks Bruce Banner if he's an alien, because Harry Dean was in the movie "Alien." He passed in 2017 after appearing in over 50 films. RIP Harry Dean.
“Life of a repo man is ALWAYS intense.”

One of my favorite moments was when he was in The Green Mile and there were two characters whose names, put together, were his. Harry and Dean Stanton.
A detail I always liked (during the helicarrier battle) is that even though they were at each other's throats a few minutes before, Tony doesn't show any exasperation with Steve for not hitting the rotor release lever right away. It's as though he knew that the only reason Steve wouldn't hit the lever is because he's in trouble. That's serious trust for a guy you just met and don't get along with.

@texturas75......I doubt Tony would have needed to be briefed on Steve. Howard likely told Tony all about him. That could also be a reason Tony doesn't get along with Rodgers at first. It's possible he's a little jealous of the relationship Howard had with Steve?
The line Steve gives Tony about sacrifice aboard the carrier is one of the best pieces of dialogue from the early MCU. It perfectly showcases their contrasting personalities and sets the tone for the changes they both experience later on.
The sacrifice part on Tony is what would become the foreshadowing of the later Avengers series to come.
Actually I think it’s simpler than that. It’s foreshadowing the end of this movie, when Tony puts his life on the line to carry the nuke. That it works in the bigger picture is a happy accident.
I have always felt that the "there are always men like you" scene is underappreciated. It just perfectly symbolizes the nature of heroes and villains in the marvel universe. All you need to be a hero is be willing to stand up to a strangely-dressed alien who sounds like he's from england.

You just made a case for why Hannah of the reaction channel "Just Trust Ash" should be considered a superhero.
I don't know how many people will get that joke, but if you know, you know...
Superhero stories are better when they have random citizens standing up alongside the heroes.
Loki is not a alien he's the god of mischief

Fun fact: the line where Banner says he attempted to kill himself and the Hulk spit the bullet out, refers to a scene that was actually filmed for The Incredible Hulk, with Edward Norton, but it was cut from the movie.
I see why it was cut.
On the hulk blu ray it's on the alternate opening of the film.

Good reaction. In regards to the Hulk, he is angry, he is especially angry at Natasha for bringing him into this situation and he understands that she manipulated him, plus there is a part of him that is also attracted to her and he's resentful of this. But he is extra angry and out of control because Loki's staff was also manipulating him, hence why he focuses his rage on Natasha in this scene.
The Avengers changed Cinematic history in 2012 with this fusion of characters, the fusion of such big screen talent under one roof
It's pretty epic! Marvel is seriously raising the bar for movies. These films have such intricate plot points that all intertwine beautifully.
You must not have seen Cannonball Run. Burt Reynolds, Dom Delouise, Sammy Davis jr., Dean Martin, a young Jackie Chan.
One of the positives about Avengers, is that they set up the characters in their own movies previously, setting up their backstories, setting up the villains backstory, etc. Some directors try to cram in multiple villains/heroes into a single movie without any setup/backstory for any of them, and more often than not, those movies fail. Having larger than life heroes/villains needs their own backstory movies, otherwise you try to cram it into a 2 hour movie... it just doesn't work. (One of the reasons why I feel like the original spiderman 3, with Venom, missed the mark because they really didn't build up Venom prior...)

25:04 - Cap's shield is made from Vibranium which absorbs vibrations and kinetic energy. But Mjolnir is so powerful the shield reverberated the hammer's energy across the entire forest. This is also why when Peggy shot the shield in Captain America (2011), the bullets simply fell straight down and did not ricochet.
You should get out more often
It doesn't matter HOW many times I've seen the movie, seeing Loki get ragdolled by The Hulk is always a laugh riot.
A guide when it comes to Bruce Banner's transformations into The Hulk: When it happens out of stress or anger, The Hulk is a completely out of control living wrecking ball. But when it happens willfully, he's a lot easier to manage.
Thor's hammer Mjolnir can indeed only be wielded by someone IT deems worthy, hence why Hulk couldn't pick it up, no matter how strong he is.
I also really love that defibrillator moment when Hulk roars to wake a seemingly dead Tony Stark after he flew the nuke into the portal.
The shawarma line that Tony said at the end was just an adlib line RDJ threw in, they liked the line so much that they came back months later and filmed the sitting and eating shawarma scene!
Yup, and when they came back, Chris Evens had been growing a mustache for another movie, which is why he is hiding his face through the scene
And it was filmed the week before the movie premiered.

@@kaze.14 Yeah, I don't know for certain one way or other, but I saw no reason to assume she'd seen it before. Although she made a lot of good predictions, none of them were unlikely - I made basically the same guesses before and while watching it. She also had some incorrect notions. I think she's just throwing ideas out there as she watches, and she gets some right and some wrong. As you'd expect.
I think her ability to call whats coming makes her look real smart, and shows she is paying attention. I kinda feel like she is genuine.

Steve passing Fury $10 (after the Helicarrier takes off), still makes me smile every time. 😃
Essentially at the end of the Hulk standalone movie, Bruce was able to turn it on/off... BUT the attack on the helicarrier panicked him, so the "beast" was uncontrolled.

Yeah, that's always the explanation that I've had for him chasing her in that moment. There's probably a difference between when he chooses to change (i.e. "I'm always angry"), and when he is forced to change through some kind of outside stimulus. You could see that Bruce was trying to resist the transformation on the helicarrier.
The actor who helps Bruce when he wakes up in the rubble is the late, great Harry Dean Stanton. Marvel has a tendency to have notable actors in small bit parts in their films as a fun nod to the audience.

I was a BIG fan of Harry Dean Stanton. Whenever I saw him in a movie, I'd shout "Harry Dean! Muh MAN!" And his "Twister" (with Crispin Glover and Suzy Amis) is still the REAL "Twister"
I recognized him when I saw this movie in theaters and when he asked Bruce "are you an alien?" I bad a big chuckle being a huge fan of the movie Alien.
His ability to go between deadpan and over the top comedic delivery is one of my favorite things about him. The scene of him rehearsing an execution in The Green Mile is my favorite bit of acting he's ever done.
"I'm a done tom turkey! This is a SHOCKIN' experience!"

Love that yes! Seems most react channels are too focused on entertaining and not paying more attention. They tend to binge the franchise so on one hand it should be easier to remember, but also when we watch as they released in theater, we had much more time and urge to rewatch them and pick up on all the little details.
Point Break, we hear it now and in another one later on as I’m sure you know. Love it

Deleted scenes include an older man sheltering his grandchildren from the aliens, when he runs into Steve. The man is a ww2 vet, and Steve recognizes him.
Also, the waitress we see at the end originally had more screen time. Recall Steve is also an artist. He would sit in that restaurants outdoor section and sketch. The waitress laid out some very obvious signals that go right past him, which prompts the guy at the next table (Stan Lee) to say "Ask for her phone number, you moron!"
Later, during the time Cap rescues a group of hostages , a Chuitari fighter tore Steve's cap off, revealing his face. The waitress recognized him. This adds depth to her cameo at the end.
The one crossover we've been looking forward to since the first Iron Man. This film never gets old for me. Nothing gets me more pumped up than seeing these guys join forces against the common threat. I could not stop laughing for 20 minutes when I first saw Hulk throwing Loki like a rag doll. That never gets old. All that aside, glad you enjoyed this and I hope you enjoy the rest of the universe.

This movie was seriously incredible. Far better than I was expecting it to be. It only makes me more excited to see what the MCU has in store in phase 2. Seeing the Hulk take on Loki was wonderful! ❤️

When I saw this opening weekend, I couldn't hear "Puny God" because everyone was laughing so hard.
36:33 Hulk actually saved the pilot's life there. There's often a reason behind his seemingly mindless acts of rampage, and in this case, Hulk made sure the pilot was clear of the exploding jet before his parachute opened and potentially burned up. Banner's intellect subconsciously at work.
The genius of Joss Whedon is on full display with this movie. From the Dialog to the character development to the plot unfolding so perfectly. It all comes together with a hint of near perfection!
That parallel between Steve and tony with the war thing you said at the end is genius, I’ve seen this movie at least 10 times and never noticed that. You really have a good eye for these things
The helicarrier starts to ascend into the air instead of submerging into the water, and Bruce says, "Oh no, this is much worse." One of my favorite lines from this movie, and I think you're the first reactor to show it! Thank you!
EDIT: And one of my other favorite lines: Natasha: "I don't see how that's a party." Thank you again!

Joss Whedon has proved to be a less-than-admirable person, but boy could he write dialogue.
"That's my secret,Captain", "I am always angry", is one my favourite scenes/lines in any movie of all time. Then all the Avengers coming together with roundshot. Wow❤
That "Puny god" moment. I seen this in theaters, and people just exploded in laughter. Goes to show how powerful they made up Hulk to be. in this movie, he could take on several avengers at the same time, and clearly break every bone in poor Loki's body, but, he had an anger management issue. Never the less, it's so satisfactory. When you beat the opposing general in 10 seconds, but the army keeps attacking.
And that comment about shawarma was funny. I prefer a kebab, but it's basically a more oriental type of sandwich you can have on the go.

Hey Jax ... loved the reaction !!! Yeah that (ship's) invisibility cloak is actually not that. If you play that part back, you'll hear Agent Hill (Cobie Smulders, the very pretty woman in charge of the flying aircraft carrier) saying, "Engage retro-reflection panels" meaning, the ship is coated in panels that display what's behind the ship on the side you are viewing, so it merely "APPEARS" invisible ... as if you are not really there. It works almost like bending light around the ship, but not quite.
Now, the fact that you caught Captain Rogers paying up on his bet to Nick Fury is amazing. No one else seems to notice that, or "get it". This *_IS_* my favorite Marvel movie, along with the Iron Man ones.
Hands down one of my favorite reactors. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone near tears for Agent Coulson and I just love that you connected w the character so much. Now you have to watch Agents of Shield to figure out what happened to him 😏

Fun fact: the younger cop out of the two that Cap gives directions to in the beginning of the New York Battle is the actor Enver Gjokaj, who also plays one of the main characters in the show Agent Carter, which is Peggy Carter's own show (I really recommend it, Peggy is amazing!).
Its so cool to see how (no spoilers) the later movies capitalize on dialogue from this and the other earlier films. The character development in the mcu is phenomenal

My guess... since vibranium absorbs energy, and a hit from Moljnir might be too much energy for it to absorb, it repelled it. Kinda the same as a Hulk thunderclap.

I feel like what you're alluding to wasn't really a thing at this point. He wasn't faking it during the party for the sake of humility, he just genuinely wasn't there yet.
The guy who gave Banner pants may have looked familiar because he was in the original Alien movie, which makes him asking Banner if he's an alien even funnier. I like to think he's playing the same character like "I've dealt with an alien before, so I hope you're not one" lol

Back in the day, a Life-Model Decoy was a rudimentary android which looked and sounded like its human counterpart. It could be publicly seen interacting with people while the actual person was out Hero-ing.
Life-model Decoys were a thing in comics, invented by SHIELD, particularly for use by high-profile people who also had a secret identity. The world has changed so much that the trope of a secret identity, a bedrock of a lot of story plots, is no longer believable. In Nick Fury's case, where his identity was not secret, it meant Fury could seem to be in many places at once, and its primary function, DECOY, behaved like a hunter's decoy, except that it was there to thwart the assassins/hunters who might be tempted.
IF you enjoy collecting the Metals of Marvel, like Uru (Thor's hammer), Vibranium (Cap's shield, Bucky's arm), Adamantium (Wolverine's claws)---- LMDs (as Life Model Decoys were called) were wrapped in a metal called Epidurium ---- very skin-like.
If Jax isn't a voice actress, she absolutely should be. This woman's voice is warm, gilded silk
This ☝️ Especially the way she says "The power of friendship" in her reactions. I can't pinpoint it, but the tone and inflection reminds me of either an actress or a voice actress.
Also, fun fact. The whimpering noise Loki made after Hulk beat the hell out of him actually wasnt acting at all. He made the noise because when they filmed the scene, he smacked his elbow on the ground.

There is a behind the scenes video of that scene and it's really funny because Tom Hiddleston repeatedly made himself laugh while filming that scene.

You were thinking throughout this movie where I was just watching in awe, when I first saw it.

Don’t get the wrong idea, Hulk isn’t a mindless monster. He normally tries to avoid people and get to solitude, but other times, he goes after who Bruce directs his anger towards right before transforming. He was angry at Natasha when he said “YOUR LIFE?!?!” And since he transformed right after that, hulk knew who to go for first

Captain America and Tony make great foils for each other. Tony begins arrogant and prideful. He wants to do everything his way, and be uncontrolled. Steve starts humble and small, just wanting to help and ready to follow orders to to the right thing. They both are very strong personalities, and easily fall into the leader role, which leads to many clashes. Thanks for sharing this delightful reaction.
24:07 From what i've heard, this is a connection to iron man 2 because when he got eletrocuted by the villan in that movie he got essentially paralized, so since then he improved his suit to withstand electricity, the side effect being that it actually charges the suit now! 😂
A detail: Loki's scepter made him and avengers aggressive when they're around it, because of something inside it.
Before this film was released, I was concerned about how all the characters would be balanced and the story would progress. They did a fantastic job. Looking forward to your other videos of the MCU.
Oh snap! This came out sooner than I expected, lol. I'm so excited to watch this reaction. I remember not being sure about Mark Ruffalo replacing Norton, but the moment I saw him on the airship looking around nervously and feeling out of place, I knew right away that I was going to like him (ESPECIALLY after his "stop lying to me" line, and how well he plays off RDJ). If I remember right, Banner was kind of a shy, emotionally withdrawn/complex person in the comics, which is a big reason why the main trigger for the Hulk is when he gets angry.
After-watch Edit: I'm so glad you caught the shawarma scene, rofl. Stupid fact: This movie made me try shawarma for the first time. It's now my favorite food, lol. As for what Avenger I'd want to be? Hmmm. Hulk is my favorite but I think I'd go for Iron Man. Not only can you fly, you're also a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist.
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in this movie.
I agree! I think Ruffalo fits right in as the Hulk and has great chemistry with the cast.
The Shawarma scene was so funny! I've never had it before but now I want to try it. They sell it at Disney's Avengers Campus and I never knew it was a reference to the movie!

This is maybe one of my top 5 (top 3?) favorite MCU movie. At the time, I said there is no way they can make a decent ensemble cast work so evenly... and yet Joss Whedon figured out how to do it. All the cast is beautifully balanced and everyone has a moment to shine. There's so many great lines of dialogue, between the funny and the serious, and it's just amazingly well directed. So much to love here, and I enjoyed revisiting it through you.

The old man in Germany is heavily implied to be a holocaust survivor, great of Marvel to throw something so real and human into this tale of gods and aliens.
Also, in the comics Thor compliments Tony by calling him a god. It's high praise and the ultimate respect for his intelligence as power and heroism as godlihood( Thor's ideal version of what that means). In terms of power, it's highly story dependent, but you can't dismiss his ability. Iron Man is more powerful than most give him credit for.

The hammer didn't hurt the shield because of the material it's made of, vibranium. A fictional Marvel metal, it's not unbreakable but it can withstand heavy vibrations and force. It was mentioned a little bit in CA:TFA but I've always felt they could go into more detail. You'll learn more about vibranium later on but I won't spoil where.
I love that (justifiably) suspicious side-eye you gave when Tony dropped the computer bug. I think a lot people miss that moment.
Bullets can hurt Steve. He's not invulnerable, he's just a peak athlete thanks to the serum. Maybe a bit stronger than most but no real super strength.
I'm not quite sure why most of the subtitles said "captain" when most of them are saying "Cap," which is pretty much how they address him the rest of the series (also in the comics).

RE what you were saying about Norton-Bruce in the shower ... there is another reaction channel I watch, a husband and wife team, and they commented on how the MCU is basically a story about coping with trauma and I have to say that's spot on so it was great that you noticed that too.
I hope she watches the Loki series because based on her reaction to this movie I think she would love what they did to his character.
One of the things I've come to love about your reviews is that when you're thinking out loud and asking little questions to yourself during the movie and then giving your post-viewing thoughts afterwards, you have no idea how many times you're hitting all the perfect talking points dead-on when it comes to the future movies in the series! Almost all the little details you tend to pick apart get addressed at some point.
The older guy where Bruce wakes up in the building wreckage is Henry Dean Stanton. He played Brett in Alien.
He's had a lot of other roles, but the only other ones I remember him from were in Escape From New York and Young Doctors in Love.

The guy that found Banner in the rubble was Harry Dean Stanton. He played one of the Dad’s in the original Red Dawn and the cop in Christine, Brain in Escape from NY, lots of others.
Steve Rogers, the man raised and built to obey commands from others and work as a team player.
Tony Stark, the man who calls all the shots and does anything and everything for himself.
Polar opposite personalities, yet so much in common story arc-wise. They wrote these two men SO well

"and does anything and everything for himself": in the time between Iron Man 1 and Iron Man 2 (six months), Tony kept on wearing the Iron Man suit to save and help people (stopping a forest fire, rescuing a submarine, working on bettering Eastern-Western relationships and so on) all the while knowing it was accelerating his dying and might have become painful at one point. Just saying. He also was ready to risk his life to defeat Stane in the first movie. And in this movie, he proved twice that he was more than ready to sacrifice his life to save others. First with the rotor (I mean the thing allowing the hellicarier to fly that Tony had to physically push at risk of getting crush), then with the missile.
@@babadoudidadouda Keep in mind, Tony is motivated very strongly by guilt. He saw first-hand the evil his weapons manufacturing did and how he's contributed to distributing harm and death with his companies. He never wore the suit cuz it was "the right thing to do"; he mostly put it on to right the wrongs he himself had done. In Iron Man 2, the fame and attention gets to him, so he wears the suit mostly to show off. What heroic actions does he do in Iron Man 2? Fight Hammer, yeah, but that's cuz Hammer stole his technology, which ties into his guilt again (people using HIS products for evil purposes). So that's what "everything he does is for himself" means; he doesn't do it to help others, but rather to tell himself that he isn't a terrible person (while making very poor choices doing so, just look at Avengers 2-)

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is definitely worth watching, Jax, whether you put it on the channel or not, but I'd suggest waiting until after you eventually view the movie "Avengers: Endgame", as the series spoiler references the MCU movies that were playing during its run.
Could also watch it along with the movies if she got caught up. Without going into spoilers, Winter Soldier is the turning point of the show for example. I remember that being a crazy week. They have chronological guides for that im sure too

Stan Lee’s line in here has a touch of comedic irony. Before him superhero comics were mostly set in fictional cities. He was the one who wanted to start putting them in “the world outside your window”. And since he lived and worked in NYC, most of the Marvel heroes are set in New York.
The schwarma scene was shot just literally days before the movie's release. They brought them all back to shoot the scene. Chris Evans has his hand on his face because he had a beard while shooting another movie.
Four of the highest grossing movies of all time are MCU movies. It's truly remarkable what Marvel has done.

Hi Jax!🙂I believe part of Loki's plan was to get caught, and have his staff in the vicinity of Bruce Banner in order to modify the Hulk's emotions. I believe that explains his change of behavior on the ship. Your insight into some possible future predictions is pretty impressive.😉Ashley Johnson (TV interview) had a much bigger role in the film, but most of her parts were cut. That security guard that finds Bruce is Harry Dean Stanton. He's been in a lot of films. Two of the bigger ones are "Alien" and "The Green Mile". Hawkeye and Black Widow don't have any special powers. But, they both end up getting their own projects. Black Widow gets a film and Hawkeye gets a limited series. It's so cool to see you catch on to all the mental trauma of these stories. The MCU illustrates the aftermath of these traumas across multiple stories, and VERY effectively. You're gonna love it.
Also: Natasha and Clint are not super soldiers. They are just world-class fighters. they are the only two "not enhamced" avengers (for now).
I love how human these superheroes are. They have the same traumas that anyone may experience going through these situations. I love that they are not above that.
It is incredible that Natasha and Clint can keep up with the rest of them. It shows how talented they are and how much they've worked at developing their skills.
This is the movie that made everyone realize that this strategy could actually work. Individual movies for the main heroes for us to get to know them, and then they all come together for a couple of really special movies.

Tasha is such a great example of picturing a strong female Character with showing weaknessses and strength at the same time and btw she is not a super human like Steve she is just an amazing fighter because of her training as a Assassin and Spy. @@lillies2301 in the comics the Black Widows got a serum to enhance them physically, but not in the MCU. They are just extremely well trained fighters in the movie universe.

Getting Harry Dean Stanton to ask Banner if he's an alien, was in my
mind a lovely callback to the fact he was in the 1979 movie, ALIEN.
In the comics, I remember that Black Widow DID have enhanced physical abilities. She was certainly stronger than an average human, but just as if not more important, she had enhanced healing and, I THINK, she even aged at a slower rate.
The MCU version of the character is not superpowered but is EXTREMELY intelligent and expertly skilled/competent in technology, spy craft, and martial arts.
I love Loki as a character. He's not truly evil. His actions are based around a feeling of inadequacy and feeling that he wasn't as loved by his father as Thor was. He always felt like he was on the outside looking in with his own family all his life. He played tricks to get attention, and he attacked Earth because he was hurting. Obviously his actions are unforgivable, but there's so much depth to his character and he feels things that a lot of people can relate to
Loki is evil. He kills wantonly. The fact that so many people can watch him murder innocents and still sau "he's not truly evil" kinda tells me all I need to know about why people fall for sociopaths. If Loki wasn't cute, so many people wouldnt be excusing all his bad behavior.
@@Prince_the_One That’s based on very black and white view of good and evil. If we go by actions alone, the bad outweighs the good and Loki is evil. However, how do you define evil? If we go by Webster’s definition, we find that evil is: “morally reprehensible” or “arising from actual or imputed bad character or conduct.” Is evil simply the absence of good? If so, then no, Loki isn’t evil. There is good in him. There’s more bad than good, but it’s still there and in the end he chose to do the right thing rather than defaulting into his old ways. Furthermore, is he evil in part of the story and not in the rest? Possibly, yes. What makes Loki so hard to pin down is the fact that up until Infinity War it’s an ongoing story, so if you pluck him out at certain points, it’s still open for debate what constitutes as evil. He certainly is evil for large chunks of his overall storyline, but when he develops, the picture gets away blurry and hard to describe. In that case, what is the measure of evil? Is it the whole journey or the ending? Can the lives he’s taken be weighed against the lives he’s saved? What tips the balance on the scales of the soul?
@@actioninmyphannypack Like I said, people fall for sociopaths who are handsome and charismatic, just like Loki, which is the only reason people defend him so much, because they find him attractive. If he was ugly everyone would be wondering why he isnt dead or in jail.

Fantastic reaction. I'm pretty new to your channel and am psyched I have so many reactions to go through! This remains my favorite MCU entry (alone with Deadpool and Werewolf by Night). Being able to combine all of these heroes and introduce their interactions so seamlessly and humorously is genius.
As regards Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, gawd he looks exactly like someone that Jack Kirby would draw with that squarish head and slightly blocky body! Brilliant physical casting that luckily is combined with equally brilliant acting.
As has been commented on, that "There are always men like you." scene is too often overlooked in reactions. That situation must have been incredibly telling to Steve Rogers, who fought the Axis in WW2.
And yes, shawarma (many spellings there) is absolutely delicious! Thankfully there is a restaurant very near me that makes a great one!
This movie changed the game for comic book movies. I remember going to the movie theater with both of my parents to watch the avengers and we all enjoyed it so much. I was only 10 when I saw this movie in theaters and now I'm 21... time flies by so quick. I really can't wait to see your reaction and opinions on this one! 😊🙏🏻
I am nearly three times your age and I grew up reading the comics these heroes are based on. Any live action movie or TV series they made back then were pretty bad (although The Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby/ Lou Ferrigno as Banner/Hulk was good for its day). When these movies came out it was a wish fulfillment that I never imagined.

Hey, Jacqueline! "Avengers" was a game-changer and the proof of concept of Feige's grand plan! Team movies weren't anything new as we had already seen the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Mystery Men, Watchmen and the Incredibles in action by this point but a multi-franchise crossover event hadn't been done since the Universal horror cycle of the '40's and, certainly, not on a scale this immense! This movie is the very definition of a thrilling Hollywood blockbuster and it shattered every record! Who knew we were only being teed up for something even bigger?
In answer to your in-universe timeline question, "First Avenger" is from 1942-1945, "Agent Carter: Season 1" is in 1946, "Agent Carter One-Shot" is in 1947, Ang Lee's "Hulk" is from 2005-2006, "Iron Man" is in 2009, Fury's Big Week including "Iron Man 2", "Incredible Hulk" and "Thor" is in 2010, Cap is thawed in 2011 and "Avengers" is in 2012 with "Iron Man 3" occurring at year's end 2012.
Marvel Comics assembled "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" in September 1963, the same month the X-Men debuted and two years after the Fantastic Four. Whereas the other groups were privately financed and comprised of members who were linked by blood or genes, the Avengers were a more motley crew subject to government oversight. Their headquarters was a mansion gifted to the team by Tony Stark located on 890 Fifth Avenue in New York City nestled on the eastern edge of Central Park complete with a butler named Jarvis to attend their needs. 2. RDJ ad-libbed a lot of dialogue including the faux-Shakespeare routine with Thor, the "Galaga" quip on the bridge, the shawarma comment when he's revived and the character nicknames like Legolas for Hawkeye.

1. The Other reports the Chitauri defeat to Thanos who smiles at the prospect of 'courting death'. This is Thanos' first appearance in the saga. His smile is a reference to his comic counterpart who actually is in love with the personification of Death.
2. The exhausted team gorges themselves on shawarma post-battle having taken Tony up on his suggestion.
The next chronological stop in the MCU is the ONE-SHOT featurette called "ITEM 47" about Chitauri tech falling into the wrong hands. It is found on the "Avengers" blu-ray or on DPlus.
Don't forget to watch it or the AGENT CARTER ONE-SHOT which can be paired with "Captain America: The First Avenger" or be viewed as a coda to the "AGENT CARTER" series.
If you want to see "AGENT CARTER", the first 8-episode season is EXCEPTIONAL, occurs before the One-Shot and can be seen after "Avengers" as an interlude between phases.
The "Man Out of Time" DELETED SCENE which includes Stan Lee should not have been cut from the film and is definitely worth a look!

The Hulk whipping Loki back and forth like a wet towel is one of my top 3 Marvel movie moments. The others are in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.
BTW, Agents of SHIELD is good. Great characters. In the first couple of seasons, they try to stay in the continuity of the movies. There are also occasional crossovers and appearances by movie characters. But, after a while, they decide to do their own thing and it actually gets better because of it.
The Hulk vs Loki was so funny! I'm looking forward to seeing the movies that have your other favorite moments!
I'm sure I'll get around to Agents of SHIELD at some point. I keep hearing that it is wonderful. But for now, I want to stick with the movies.
@@reactswithjax Agents of SHIELD is produced by Joss Whedon, who wrote and directed The Avengers and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. He also created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, and The Nevers. All of which I think you'd like. Firefly and The Nevers are short series. Firefly is 14 episodes and a movie and The Nevers is 12 episodes. Both have great characters, stories, and lots of humor. Same with Buffy, but it's 7 seasons so it's a much bigger committment. Plus it has a spin-off, Angel, which ran for 5 seasons. But if you love the shorter series, you might want to give them a shot.

edit - yeah natsha & barton are normal human beings but trained assassin's she is master in combat & gun same with hawkeye but he is with bow and arrow also yeah captain america is super soldier but could die with fatal gun shot .

Great reaction. A lot of the fun of the MCU is getting invested in the characters' own stories and growth, and it's nice to hear your own take on all the ins and outs of their relationships. And yes, Phil was in all our hearts with this one.
You'll notice, in the Shawarma scene, Capts hand on his face; it was post prediction and Evens was already cast, in another movie, as a guy with a beard, so he was trying to hide it

Really love your reactions :) Imo The Avengers is one of the best movies ever in history of filmmaking; and what did Hollywood? No Oscar, not even an Oscar-nomination! I'll never understand the "movie-scholars" who decide, which movie is Oscar-worthy. They obviously have a problem with sience-fiction, fantasy and comic-books. Nothing has changed since I watched my first movie in theater about 53 years ago.
I'm surprised they didn't get nominated for special effects or costumes!
