Apocalyptic Scenes on Portra 400 - Cape Town Fire

On Sunday the 18th of April 2021 a fire started near the Rhodes memorial on the foothills of Table Mountain in Cape Town. The fire spread to the University of Cape Town where it destroyed historic buildings, and eventually wrapped around the mountain and approached the city bowl. The fire was fortunately brought under control by our brave firefighters - many of whom were volunteers.
I went out with my Mamiya RB67 and some Kodak Portra 400 to photograph the fire and the impact it was having.

This video is going to come in two parts, as I scan and grade each frame individually and don't have the time to finish them all for this videos upload date.
I do not recommend that anyone go chasing wildfires, they are incredibly dangerous and my friends and I were very cautious in our approach - and it was still quite stressful at times.
