Good information. Background music is a bit irritating.

We most donate to save all great videos being killed by useless background music.

Nice buck - racks that large around my house in MA have bigger bodies though. I was out measuring trees today and saw quite a few deer - population has gone up a lot in the past couple years.

What dbh would you recommend starting to cut at in mainly a red and white oak hardwoods?

I like to see timber that is mature enough to do a 18-20” dbh cut.

If the timber is extremely mature then doing all the way up to a 22-24” dbh cut wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Thanks for the video. I'm actually trying to learn how to mark trees. How do you know what specie a tree is?... That's the first question I would like help with please.

There are a lot of good recourses on line as well as some good apps. I would simply google different tree species and then see if you can identify them in the woods!

If you work through a consulting Forester, which I do recommend, they charge a percentage of the sale and are paid on the backend. Typically 10%

And I have a few really large white oak trees

Unfortunately a couple of trees probably won’t be worth a logger to come out unfortunately.

@@robertthomasson6414 nothing. You might be able to find someone to take them for free.

I would subscribe to your channel, but your background. Music is way too loud and not necessary.
