    This is why this game is so much fun. There really isn't a right or wrong way, and you can approach your day one composition any way you want. Typically, I go with just 2 rifle squads, the 7.5cm field gun, a medic unit, and an officer. Don't really need much more than that. As far as research goes, I usually put a lot of points into tanks and getting the Pz IV D as soon as I can. Once you have that and the 10.5cm howitzer, it's going to be difficult to lose a match which is why lately I put off those two units as long as possible.

    Since the last update i love using the panzer lehr stormgrenadiers, the 10 stack of stgs is amazing for assaulting and holding. The lack of an MG or other weapons can look a bit sus, but ive tested every one of germanys units against each other and Pz lehr beats all others except fallschirmjagers which only beat pz lehr in long range extended firefights. The stgs are stacked and sound amazing

    As Germans, I rely on captured Soviet arty and mg's, so I save some research that way. On defensive, I throw in new or untried units, and use resources very sparingly. I build up my sm/med/large defense points as quickly as possible as they can absorb the brunt of any assault. I keep my best units in the last call sign, and my first call sign will either be a probe or a blocking force on offensive missions, depending on the map. I pull in my elite call sign only when necessary. On starting a map, I always pause it immediately and study the terrain for a few minutes, trying to find the best avenues of approach. Finally, besides the first call sign, I make sure the balance of my organizations are combined armed forces, which will at least have some resources available to meet any immediate need.

    imo, you should start with hardcore, medium, medium difficulty settings. Not just because that's how I play games, but because this game does difficulty differently - it primarily reduces accuracy of ai units. Even on hardcore, ai units have less accuracy than player units. Hardcore will give you a better sense of unit survivability (importance of HP, medkit spamming, prone, etc). The first 3 games can be tough in a hardcore conquest, but it gets a lot better afterwards. Medium campaign length because the game automatically turns into unlimited campaign after completion anyway.
    For meta research, take the free call in and supply cart first. Then grab 7.5cm leig. Research call in stages only after you've filled your existing ones with good units. Aside from that, you vary your research depending on need while trying to get to these goals: 10cm sK18 long range artillery. Supply sdk. I used to recommend blau inf pre-update, but gebirgsjager is the route you want now. Panther tank. Armored 3.7cm flak sdk (don't go 2cm opel truck and get 2cm sdk instead). SKIP all light vehicles and light tanks (many are very good but they go obsolete too quick which means wasted research points). Also SKIP all other infantry (eg sniper, scouts, engineer, etc) until after reaching at least panzer 4 austf f2.
    If you skip light vehicles completely and rush the tank tech, your latest tank will always be superior to enemy tanks. The moment you reach panzer 4 austf f2, you will crush all enemies (the boost in fire power is too high here). You don't need to research towing halftracks because your supply truck/sdk can tow (and salvaging towing light vehicles is easy).
    You talked about p1 F and p3 E, but if you are ahead in tank tech and dominate armored combat, any tank you field will shred infantry with their machine guns. You don't NEED infantry specific armor. In fact, rather than those 2 tanks, the marder 2 is even more OP because it is a cheap, early tank destroyer that can pen most enemies even in late game. Same cannon as p4 F2.
    But this game is a lot more fun if you don't play so optimized. Using light vehicles, stug33/sturmpanzer, wespe/hummel, wirblewind/drilling and various big guns and/or weird build compositions is where the true enjoyment is at. Try a heavy mortar heavy composition or a line of pak guns slowing advancing in a line. It is also always more fun to be behind or equal in tank tech compared to the enemy - being ahead is too much power.

    • @PuggoRebornChannel
      @PuggoRebornChannel  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think this is fair. Only reason easy and no fow is to learn the mechanics and grow. I like avoiding meta late. Good points!

    • @Steamthrower1
      @Steamthrower1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why do you prefer gebirgsjager?

    • @yootoobnao
      @yootoobnao 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Steamthrower1 their gun loadout is better vs brandenburgs (less kar98 in exchange for less fausts). In late game, kar98 sux. STG44 is amazing and you want a minimum of gehwer to match garands.
      But in terms of most fun infantry post-patch, I recommend sturm volksgrens and heavy volksgrens. Best wep loadouts. 15 and 16 popcap respectively is so easy to fit into call ins. But low hp and poor gun skills.
      Comparing other inf:
      - Panzer lehr sturms is good BUT they start off with vet 5 so they are inferior to true elite inf, and 24 popcap sux for call in mgmt.
      - Grosdeutchland popcap cost is too high (25/28).
      - Blau inf are stuck with kar98s.
      - Falschirm loadouts aren't special anymore.

    • @Steamthrower1
      @Steamthrower1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @yootoobnao eh idk. Pound for pound pz lehr are the best German infantry cause of the stgs. The pop cap can be awkward true but they're worth it for sure. Gun loadout doesn't really seem to matter when you have 10 automatic rifles

    • @PuggoRebornChannel
      @PuggoRebornChannel  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's where I default to the 2nd Brandenburger squad. Only unit besides medic that runs 1.2 speed. Recon vision and 3 panzerfausts. 2 MG 34s, 3 Gewehr 43, and a bunch of smokes. After using them nonstop, in conquest, their ability to run up on units or get best position attacking, is this the best strategically. Hard to make official claims, but they're the best unit for my style of gaming

  • @Hashashin_Fidayin

    Another great video and great tips. My first few day loadout is a little bit different. I won't unlock mortars or AT guns, and instead I will focus on capturing the enemy weapons to fill in that hole in my army. My primary units in my army are the armored puma and the 20 mm version of the puma. While although I prefer the smaller armored car variant, The 20 mm puma is cheaper and easier to unlock since it's in line with the 5 cm version.
    I will use my pumas and defensive locations and reposition them to keep them out of harm's way, My army eats up ammo like crazy so ammo boxes are a common sight in my army. I also will fill up the ammo crates and extra vehicles with stolen weapons from the battlefield like AT rifles, stolen machine guns and stolen machine gun ammo as well as any explosives I can scrounge up.
    I focus on using the default infantry squads for as long as I can, stealing enemy machine guns and AT guns to keep them somewhat well-armed. Field engineers and unlocking defense II, can be very very useful on defense.
    The hole in tank trenches that the field engineers can build are perfect for the armored cars, or for creating a mortar pit somewhat close to the front.
    I use my infantry spread out, once we hit contact I hit the dirt and trying to get into cover.
    Then I reposition my vehicles and my stolen mortars in stolen a t guns into position.
    As long as you work careful about it it is possible to steal multiple mortars and AT guns from the enemy.
    I also like overloading my vehicles with ammo using the ammo crate trick, I will remove the AG from my 20 mm Cannon vehicles and let it slowly rearm, then repeat the process putting the extra ammo into a different vehicle. I'm able to get over 300 frag rounds into each of my 20 mils, lowering my reload times. I will also strip enemy vehicles of their MG ammo throw it in my ammo crates so that my stolen MGs have plenty of machine gun ammo to use.
    I really like all the tips and tricks You've mentioned especially the tips about difficulty level.
    After watching many of your videos I've just now decided to flip my difficulty level up to the hardcore.
    Losing any of my infantry units has been a tough pill to swallow but has also taught me a lot.
    I'm used to playing Men of war 2 campaign where I would use very small units and customize each one with stolen weapons.
    I would personalize and care too much about my individual soldiers.
    Last night I had a battle where I lost 30 men, The highest losses I've had so far.
    But the battle was a complete victory I only lost reserve infantry units and my kill count was over 150.
    Thank you for making all this great content man, your head and shoulders above the other stuff available

    Love this game so much. It’ll be even better when the devs separate infantry into early/mid/late war traunches. The historical accuracy being put first (unit details etc) is part of what makes this game so amazing. It’s a true WW2 game.
    At 2,000 hours in, my biggest suggestion for new players in dynamic conquest: Rush research on AT guns and flak
    . It may be very tempting to rush your research in panzers but you will find yourself fighting T-34/76’s and Kv-1’s with Panzer 38t’s, Panzer III E-G’s. Not a great plan.
    It’s much better IMO to have the 7.5cm lichte infanterie geschutz 18, 5cm pak 38, 7.5cm pak 40 and/or 8.8cm flak 18 to rely on.

    I strongly would advise against turning off Fog of War. If you are new new you will not understand the mechanic and importance of line of sight! Start with FoW turn it in a next step off and in the final step on again. If you play with FoW off you will be the next person starting the 212 000 discussion about that you unit does not shot even if your unit "can clearly see" the other unit. Maybe you could make a detailed viedeo for new Players as basic for FoW and LoS? Not understanding this cores can ruin the game for new players very easy.
    The health and health reg. is only that hight because of the low difficulty ;) They are hard buffed.

      I bought gates of hell ostfront just last week and assuming both liberation and ostfront are essentially same game same engine same setup minus different units and such, I believe or from what I can see, the menu UI is tied to your resolution so Unfortunately I cant play the game at 4k on my 4k tv because the menus are literally too small to be easy to access on the fly. I play the game at 1440p which surprisingly doesn't look any worse than 4k as far as the textures and units etc. That's not to say either looks bad. I just mean typically you see a degradation going from 4k to 1440p on a 4k screen but not in this games case. I hope this helps or sheds some light on things. I've gone so far as to see if anyone has made any mods that might address the UI size for 4k resolutions but not a whole lot of luck yet although I haven't really looked more than a brief moment

      I play with a lot of armored cars and pumas, The important part is to use the mobility of the vehicle to your advantage.
      Yes most vehicles will not survive a hit from an enemy a t gun vehicle or even an AT infantry rifle at close range.
      The important part is to have infantry screening in front of your vehicles so that your vehicles don't get close enough to take a direct hit from an enemyAT gun or enemy vehicle.
      I always try to keep my vehicles in a back line behind defilade or some other defensive position like behind a building.
      Then when my infantries scout and enemy vehicle coming in or if an enemy AT gun starts firing I can quickly reposition my vehicles to flank them and shoot behind where it's very easy to get a crew kill.
      Just last night my 20 mm armored car saved my bacon on a defense mission.
      The enemy brought three mortars and two a t-guns, and the mortars were starting to open up and really chew up my infantry.
      I quickly selected one of my 20 mm armored cars and drove down the street and up a bridge flanking the enemy, I was able to fire all the way down a river that they were using and completely destroyed the enemy mortars in like two bursts.
      Siege engineers can also build tank trenches, by putting vehicles in these trenches they will be hull down and much more defensive. Personally I do not use a lot of tanks unless they are stolen, but I use tanks in a similar manner to my armored cars
