Classic Game Room reviews always reviews my favourite games! Everytime I search for, what in my opinion, is an obscure or hidden gem, there you are with a great review on it!!!! Love it!:D
I agree, Mark has improved a LOT over these years and he's much more entertaining these days. But i really miss Dave, he was the highlight of old CGR! I really hope one day Dave joins with Mark at least for one CGR HD video review!
god how can i forget this game. the quirky characters and awesome level design are what primarily drew me into this game. this is one of the few games ive ever played that challenged me to my limit but never gave up on and actually was able to beat...eventually. but god do you feel a sense of accomplishment once you do beat it. whatever version you play, play this game. youll have the most fun screaming, cursing, crying, throwing controllers, and even laughing.
I just got a Dreamcast with 7 games today for $50. This came with it. I don't have time to play any of the games I got until next week. I am glad that I found this review so I no what to expect. It looks interesting
This game was amazing, the artwork was just incredible. Even after all these years it still looks good. This video brings back a lot of great memories, they don't make games like this anymore :(
MDK series was one of the best of the times. Its made by Shiny Entertainment they made the best games which can be played even today MDK,MDK 2,Sacrifice(EPIC game ever made) and Matrix path of Neo
One of the best games ever created whoever doesnt like it thinks original is that the well armored protagonist with a mustach. It is one of the most original game ever created I MEAN A ATOMIC TOASTER COME ON!
I only got to play the demo. and I did not know max had a jetpack now I have to play the demo again just to fly around, hopefully I will get the game soon
@narutofreak12312312 You're probably right, never played the first so I don't know anything about it. And since both games have different developers and publishers it would make sense if they changed the name while still keeping MDK as acronym and title.
Is it just me, or did the premise of this game more than slightly resemble a certain cult television show from the 90's? The janitor, the red jumpsuit, the mad scientist, it's all there. I'm surprised they didn't cut to "Robot Roll Call" at any point during that intro.
I bought this game last year, remembering the old Game Room episode. Sadly, I just couldn't get into it. I think the PS2 controller is just too damn wonky for this third-person shooter. I DO have the PC version somewhere, and I remember that being far more playable. It's funny how the graphics were 'great' back then, and the game ran on my crappy 400MHz program at a perfect frame rate. I'm going to give this game another try, because Mark and Dave are awesome.
Usually I would say no, but in this case it probably couldn't hurt. At least if it was childish it might have the chance of being mildly entertaining to hear them talk.
This game was the shit. I think i still have it somewhere, i never ended up beating it. I quit playing at some point after you got control of the scientist dude. really fun game though, i loved playin as the dog
It is never stated what it means. But the manual for the first game does say Mission:Deliver Kindness in it. But they said other things like My Dear Knight and of course Murder. Death. Kill.
Damn this game was hard as shit. But you had to keep playing. Flying around in the jetpack with Max was nutz. Hardest part of whole game is swimming around as the Doctors fish. I hated that so bad. I just got the Ps2 version and want to play through it also.
I was only like 5-6 when i played this on the pc. So i never finished it. I got stuck on the part where your the doctor guy. =/ but now i feel like going and completing it...
Been smoking&watchingCGRvids all night&the fact that I missed so many of these great games when they were first released has completely killed my buzz&left me a little depressed tbh,Hell Its not as if I didnt own any of these consoles(still do)! Prob should have spent less time back in the day obsessing over collecting all those FUCKING emblems in the Sonic Adventure games-"O just 9 more until I unlock the 3dGreen Hill zone,Ill DEFINATLY pick up a new game next week" Where has the time gone?:(
MDK 2 is cool and all, but considering these are the same guys who made Jade Empire and Dragon Age, they must have been pretty high on cracks while making this game.
Mark may have gotten older, but his humor hasn't changed at all since 2000.
I love this old video game jargon like board for game. I still miss the word joypad instead of controller
i bought this game yesterday at a classic video game store and it's pretty awesome... This is the first time i've played my dreamcast in 3 or 4 years
Thank you for all the reviews, you are making my Game hunting much easier. I only collect that which I will play.
This is a solid game
I always thought MDK stood for Max, Doc, and Kurt.
You revealed the truth
this game came with my pc back in 2000, one of my favorite games of all time, AWESOME levels and humor
Ah the good old days
2000 good old days......lolol Now i feel really old
Classic Game Room reviews always reviews my favourite games! Everytime I search for, what in my opinion, is an obscure or hidden gem, there you are with a great review on it!!!! Love it!:D
these old episodes are pure gold. old cgr makes me remember what made the dc so awesome. its great to see these old games in a present day context. i
I agree, Mark has improved a LOT over these years and he's much more entertaining these days. But i really miss Dave, he was the highlight of old CGR! I really hope one day Dave joins with Mark at least for one CGR HD video review!
"Gee, what a great second of music"
"Thank you."
lol i love this show
I followed your advice and got a dreamcast and this game came with it! This is awesome!
I had the biggest OMG flashback ever when I saw the cover for this game. :)
one of the best games I've ever played
I played the PS2 version. Is the Dreamcast version better?
Yes
Keep em coming! Love you guys.
god how can i forget this game. the quirky characters and awesome level design are what primarily drew me into this game. this is one of the few games ive ever played that challenged me to my limit but never gave up on and actually was able to beat...eventually. but god do you feel a sense of accomplishment once you do beat it. whatever version you play, play this game. youll have the most fun screaming, cursing, crying, throwing controllers, and even laughing.

first game I bought for the DC. still love it ^^ great review!
Because of my love for the movie Demolition man, I have always just assumed the title stands for Murder Death Kill.
The messes were large, but the pay was good.
It's amazing how often that sentence could be used in a variety of movies/games/books.
I remember playing this game when I was little. God I had so much fun. It took a couple weeks but I managed to beat it and I was only 8 years old.
I do believe that it's Murder Death Kill, but my favorite is Massive Dollops of Ketchup.
My favorite game that I never could manage to actually beat... 😭
I miss this channel
Dreamcast , a great console.
MDK 2, a great game.
This game was amazing, the artwork was just incredible. Even after all these years it still looks good. This video brings back a lot of great memories, they don't make games like this anymore :(
This game bring back memories. =) loved it.
MDK series was one of the best of the times. Its made by Shiny Entertainment they made the best games which can be played even today MDK,MDK 2,Sacrifice(EPIC game ever made) and Matrix path of Neo
AWESOME REVIEW as ALWAYS! I was just thinking to myself, "Where is MDK 3?" Next thing I know I'm searching MDK + CGR. Fucking love you guys!
Ohhhh I am just to damn good for ma on bad self! Awesome reference to the legendary radio personality the wolfman!
Need to add this one to the Dreamcast collection!
this is my fab game EVER!!!!!!!
BEST GAME EVER!!!!!
i had this game when i was 4 in 2002 XD
SO CLASSIC
had this for ps2
OMG! This was released on my birthday!
It's up to you. Chuckleberry Fin.
Holy shit, thanks for the great review.
And it was also codenamed "Mother's Day Kisses" because the original game was to be released on Mother's day.
"You Don't Snipe Anybody... You Snipe Aliens."
i got this game for ps2, and they are right when they said it was hard. this game is almost unforgiving, but fun
Also, the dog wasn't called Max until the second game. He was called Bones in MDK.
THey really should make more of the run and gun and jumping game these days. I miss the fast paced action mixed with some good platforming.
One of the best games ever created whoever doesnt like it thinks original is that the well armored protagonist with a mustach. It is one of the most original game ever created I MEAN A ATOMIC TOASTER COME ON!
Kurt's Power Armor is called Coil Suit
@tombert256
They are making one =D But it might not go on if they don't have the right budget.
Maybe it was so that we'd keep talking about MDK 12 years after it's release :)
this game was done by bioware. wow!
So this was the original NieR....
02:02 - "Doctor Hawkins had to Ack."
@myochi You can change them from the options.
That's what I thought too.
the best last word would have been "balls" instead of "aliens" in terms of back reference and hilariousness :P
I thought that the name was "Man Doctor Kanine
Awesome game!!
i like the beginning
this game is awesome
I only got to play the demo. and I did not know max had a jetpack now I have to play the demo again just to fly around, hopefully I will get the game soon
"If you are watching right now - you suck " 😁
I remember playing the original on a PC Gamer demo disc lol
MDK 2 HD Remake Confirmed!
MDK 1 was so much better than the second one.
My brother had a Dreamcast when we were younger, and he let me play this demo. I couldn't remember the name of this game.
@narutofreak12312312 You're probably right, never played the first so I don't know anything about it. And since both games have different developers and publishers it would make sense if they changed the name while still keeping MDK as acronym and title.

this game was very unique

Anyway this game came out in 2000 and the PC version still works with perfect aspect ratio on a widescreen monitor.
How awesome is that?
Bad Assery right here.
Usually I would say no, but in this case it probably couldn't hurt. At least if it was childish it might have the chance of being mildly entertaining to hear them talk.
espero agora o MDK 3 se ja num teim eu espero q sejas tao bom como esse !!!!! espero mais lançamentos mais seim sair do tipo original do MDK
when you have an antagonist in a game called gunther clad, you just know you have a winner
Mission...Deliver Kindness
can anyone tell me whats the song on 3:36?
I've forgot its name....
Actually, it's probably just both.
This game was the shit. I think i still have it somewhere, i never ended up beating it. I quit playing at some point after you got control of the scientist dude. really fun game though, i loved playin as the dog
hes now on the game
It's an acronym: Murder Death Kill. Search for it.
enjoyed the 1st one more... great game anyway.
It is never stated what it means.
But the manual for the first game does say Mission:Deliver Kindness in it.
But they said other things like My Dear Knight and of course Murder. Death. Kill.
4:27 i was just 6 and i spend hours to figure out what to do with those gaint fishbowl things.

This game reminds of Messiah.

nice
@CaptainFussenpepper listen to the band Murder Death Kill. one of the heaviest bands ever.
"You gotta snipe balls."
Its also for the PS2
Ah, Bioware, you never do us wrong
Murder Death Kill
At 5:10 ... Yeah that boss... Never beat him ....

@redskull871 Its Max Doc Kurt!
It's on the Wii

@meetajhu MDK2 was created by Bioware.
@DAM3isLegend what do you mean by that? Dave was awesome
MDK 2 is cool and all, but considering these are the same guys who made Jade Empire and Dragon Age, they must have been pretty high on cracks while making this game.
