The birds and the bees: How converting our lawn to native plants brought life to our yard.

More and more people are realizing that our "perfect green lawns" are actually sterile wastelands that not only require constant inputs of water, pesticide and fertilizer, but provide absolutely nothing for wildlife. Converting even small parts of your lawn can bring your yard to life - and life to your yard by providing food and shelter to insects, birds and other wildlife. And it's beautiful as well! Here I briefly show our process of converting some of our lawn. THere's more to go, but we are enjoying the results so far!
