Finally someone explains to a total newbie how the creator of the website will send it to a hosting website and I need not fumble around for days trying to figure that out....Great details.

Websites are not only about looking good, the pricier version you currently have up was well thought out and highly optimised

I have not seen your updated website by a local company. First off, they most certainly have higher overhead and likely expect a much higher hourly pay scale. And if USA, Britain or Canada, I estimate you overpaid relative to the Fiverr contractors. They seem to be perhaps foreigners who work for much less. In Mexico, the average pay is around 1000 monthly and in USA, its at least triple that. Bear in mind, you could literally locate a Mexican website designer who will work for one third the American price since the cost of living there is one two thirds less. And India, four fifths less. However, you might never receive the website, period...scammed. You offer a man 500 dollars in Mexico, same as offering an American 1500 to 2000. Why? Cause the US dollar buys so much more in other countries.....Yes, I predict you paid excessively.. That is NOT being scammed. Scammed is not being delivered what you paid for.

Does Fivver guarantee the website design will be ADA compliant legally since it allows creators from outside the USA to build these websites for American customers?

I don’t know for sure, but I doubt it. When you search for a fiverr creator, include “ADA” in the search field, and look for creators who address this need specifically. Make sure you contact them first and confirm they’ll deliver and ADA website before you order the gig. Great question!

Unfortunately, the ADA does not provide an official set of guidelines for website accessibility. In fact, the legislation has never established a technical standard for website

You’re only obligated to the standards you set before placing the order.

Wouldn't you be worried for asking a Fiverr person to create eCommerce functionality on a web site for your business. Risk of back door bits that could do bad things?

Definitely. In this case, the e-commerce functions are managed by Thinkific- all of those course pages link to the secure Thinkific site, which the Fiverr creators could not access or modify.

When you were not able to come to an understanding with the creator and get your website done did you always get a refund?

Fivver is good for certain things, I use it. However when its something complicated and that requires alot of digital work or editing or 3D graphics or something just big, I dunno... I'd be weary of that! I only use fiver for more basic things that I can probably do but I dont want to lol. I used to program computers, front end, elearning apps , and yes websites and websites are complicated as F to do and require good knowledge of coding and other complicated scripting. Its not cheap. Good stuff is not cheap.

@@JennJager It looks good. I guess my question was aimed at if you feel Fiverr could have done the same job for less.
