Mr. Jones wasn’t sure he wanted to do a baseball movie. Then his wife read the monologue and convinced him he should at least consider it. I’m glad he “considered” it. No one else could’ve delivered those lines like Mr. James Earl Jones. Thank you for the decades of entertaining us.
One of the greatest monologs ever in cinema history, absolutely love it! Delivered by one of the greatest actors ever R.I.P. Mr. Jones, you will missed sir
as you like this watch.the deaf man that heard. free on youtube that voice a one off .the trouble I have getting old you lose your heroes hope to meet them later
beautifully made. especially with James Earl Jones. he is a legend, a hall of famer, and a great actor. he will be missed. rest in peace, James, may the force be with you.
He was one of those actors that you think could never die. He will be missed. Not a fan of MLB, but these types of movies I am. They're simple, down to Earth and heart warming. Go visit your nearest minor league ballpark, relax and enjoy your surroundings.
I agree I never thought he aged at and kept the voice that made darth vader and mufasa stick in my head all the long years he is surely missed as not many had what he did
James Earl Jones will always be remembered as one of the Greatest performers of his and my generation and he will be sorely missed Forever! Farewell to a Great man!!!
I live in Iowa… they are now taking that beloved field into something that nobody recognizes as in that movie.. so watch the movie and appreciate it.. I remember seeing it for first time in the theater and watching grown men with tears in their eyes.. appreciate it
They did the same thing with Rucker Park in New York City. It just used to be a park where they played basketball, and oftentimes professional players would drop in and get a run. Now it's all commercialized and RUINED in my opinion
Nice seeing this club respect big legends like this, i mostly followed this club cuz of marek chlup he used to be one of our coaches for Tempo praha, but now that i see the club more and more often im happy i followed. If someone sees this from the team definetly tell marek hes a big insipiriton, well atleast for me.
We can not forget baseball. For some, there's no other sport like it. People worship it, like a cult. And James Earl Jones gave another reason to keep it alive. May he Rest in Peace.
I hate flying. My wife talked me into flying across the country to go to Disney world. There were TVs on the headrests. I watched as many movies as I could to not think about flying. Field of Dreams got me through.
My friend Stanley called him Jimmy. They met near Irons, Michigan while gathering cows in the forest. Jimmy's home has gone back into the earth while Stanley's home is still standing but has been empty since his death in 2013. I hope they have some great conversations in Heaven.
It is SAD that during such an eloquent speech given by one of the greatest cinematic voices of our generation, you choose to show a cocky pitcher giving the cut throat sign numerous times. It certainly is NOT what that speech was about !
RIP….You were the voice of my generation. May god bless your soul and may you be forever eternally happy and thank you for touching so many on a human level. 🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️

Nah, too boring.

Well listening to that monologue caused the wind and dust to kick up a little bit. R.I.P. Mr. James Earl Jones soar amongst the stars.

My favorite monologue about Baseball Life from James Earl Jones that feels my heart goes to him
Field of dreams and the Sandlot my 2 favorite of his films.

Yeah thank you Mr.Jones
Amazing!
I’ve always been a fan of Mr James EarlJones , his voice was exactly the same tenure as my grandfather, and his wisdom still rings in my ears
I hate flying. My wife talked me into flying across the country to go to Disney world. There were TVs on the headrests. I watched as many movies as I could to not think about flying. Field of Dreams got me through.
Never got to watch this movie to the end....fell asleep.
You need to keep trying til you get thru it. Great movie.

Long live mufasa
And Darth Vader
He was a great actor no one was better at those roles than him
Mufasa
I get goodebumps every time 😊😊😊😊😊
Damn! Goose bumps!!!
“ You said your finger was a gun you idiot!!” James Earl Jones - Field of Dreams. This part made me laugh.
❤⚾
I'm old and did see the movie, but can't remember the name. 😞
@tomp 8871 "Field of Dreams".
@@garykass114 TY, I love baseball also, couldn't remember
@@tomp8871 You're welcome.
The only sad thing is that the sport he’s talking about doesn’t exist anymore
Why? Because the players aren't indentured servants shackled to one team for subsistence wages their entire career?
@@mc76 because of all the new pussy rules, just like every sport
Speak for yourself!
Change is inevitable. I do miss the past too
This is wonderful ❤❤❤❤
RIP your Royal Highness Lord Vader Mufasa

👍👍👏👏❤❤🙏🙏
Who would you rather follow advice from: Darth Vader or Poindexter?
Darth Vader was the last player to bat .500
Matthew 6:9-15 & Matthew 12:31-32
Revel. 21:8,
I was a center fielder
RIP….You were the voice of my generation.
May god bless your soul and may you be forever eternally happy and thank you for touching so many on a human level.
