Thank you so much for showing us in a real video how this thing actually grinds because it is too expensive to hope it can grind whole cinnamon sticks only to buy, use it, and discover they lied 😤. I'm in. This will be my next purchase. 👍
Ah-ha, to avoid the motor smoking, the key is to put next to nothing in it. It does have a thermal cut out on the armature of the motor. But it is a weak little motor with no ventilation and it overheats really fast.
has anyone tried resins , like frankincense or myrrh? Has anyone tried barks, I get they must be dry, and probably broken up . One question, have they made a newer model to this series design, I think its tacky with plastic. Thanks for your video Rebel, it helped alot, to decide what brand at what price and durable as well as it actually works, I don't get why it doesn't do a cup full, seems a small amount, other sites all say the motor over heats and Im seeing that across most products of the same caliber, I guess they want us to buy , break and rebuy, nobody makes appliances that last!
Thank you is really helpful , i have this waring brand which i have purchase a machine for grinding wet ingredients many years ago and i have found it does its what is said . Having seen this brand again that i am wanting to purchase to grind dry ingredients spieces. Thank you
It can't grind shit. It overheats in like 20 seconds. My c £20 plastic grinder does a way better job without any smell of burnt plastic and acrid smell.
@@gorillanobaka9772 hahaha, yeah, I have tried the Quest and Cuisinart and they have identical mechanisms and heat up to smoking in about 25 seconds. On the plus side, the Quest is $30 and the Cuisinart is $65 (but has sealable lids like this Waring branded version) I just turn it over and let the heat out, they're all the same, a 200W motor inside a plastic box with "ventilation" holes in the bottom only. A terrible design, almost designed to burn up and die, planned obsolescence. My Kenwood Major grinder will grind nutmeg for 5 minutes solid and do it again and again and again. Bullshit is this a "professional" product. It just says "professional" to persuade people it is worth its hyped price.
I have this grinder since last ten years still working i am really happy with my grinders.

Can it grind dried turmeric

you know the truth...dried turmeric is like concrete.
A tip when grinding turmeric toasted first in a bit of oil, you will have the beautiful yellow color, also will grind easily.
