I'm not very computer literate and at 71, I need to watch everything twice to make sure I'm doing it correctly and haven't left anything out. There was another video before yours and though I was able to follow what the other person said, it still left some unanswered questions, though probably not for anyone who is experience with cells and computers, but for me, though I was able to follow everything he said, I watched your video to get some verification to make sure I did it correctly and found your presentation very systematic and thorough. Holysmoke!! That took me straight to that hard menu at I did what u said. My phone wasn't the same as yours but the same little green robot showed up. Took about 10 mins but took me right to a "welcome menu" yeah i have a Alcatel one touch. Thanks it's been 2 years now my phone is ... well useable again.
I really liked this phone when I was using it so I don't no why or understand why everyone is saying it's a cheap or generic phone for. I mean it might not have all the lil updated features but hell it's better then a few phones I've seen recently that's came out in my opinion.

You might be pressing the wrongs buttons, pressing them for to long and/or for to short a time or in the wrong order (make sure you are pressing the Up volume button and not the Down volume button). Also you might have a button/s not working at all (broken button) or the phone is just broken and no longer works. Suggest watching my video and trying it again.

Thank you so much. I forgot my password and I tried so many hacks to figure out my password without losing data, but at the end I just went ahead and factor reseted my phone and this video helped a lot.
Thank you for your easy to understand video. This worked on my Alcatel A2. but I advise people to be patient for the reboot to work. You might think it isn't working but it will.

Great! This looks pleasingly easy. But One Question: Does this reset also unlock the phone from the original subscriber network? (i.e. purchased thru Consumer Cellular but want to use on out-of-country network.)

Unfortunately, a Google account can not be deleted or erased by hard resetting a phone. Google keeps track of devices through Google user accounts. You need to contact Google or previous phone owner to have Google account reset or deleted.
Quick question. I have this phone and purchased in between getting a new one after my Samsung broke because I really needed a phone, I now would like to either return or sell it. I put 30 days of prepaid service on this phone, but only used about 5 days of it. Will the factory reset remove the remaining days of service I paid for or just the data/apps on the phone?
Just the data/apps on the phone. BTW, if you are planning to sell or return the phone make sure to remove your SIM card and microSD card from the phone for security reasons.
I think i found a way to get your reset for Alcatel Dawn with my phone when the android screen comes up you have to repress both power plus volume button again and it does come up. We will see how it works

Thank you. I turned off my phone when Google was autoinstalling "Google Photos" and that seemed to have ****ed my operative system. This solved the issue.
The reset worked but I dunno about the PIN & EMAIL (made a few by now) so I guess it goes back to the hoarding corner. It’s ok I’m on the iPhones now (currently XR)

Question 1 - Can you use the phone for photos without unlocking it (only needed for vacation selfies)? Note: I've heard that the phone comes locked but I didn't know if that meant just the phone service or the entire device. Question 2 - Can WIFI be used without unlocking the phone?
First thing. A Hard Reset will not clear or delete a Google account password/passcode login. You need to contact Google directly or previous owner if you don't have the login pass code. Second: You can use the phone for just photos and just with WiFi if you are not connected or hooked up with a cellular service provider after a Hard Reset.
