Hey everyone! :-D There are 2 things with this video I have to update you all on.... 1 - Oddworld and Just Add Water have made a patch fixing most of the audio bugs! So, for those guys being an incredible company, consider that point of my review fixed! 2 - YES, OKAY, I GOT 'REMASTER' AND 'REMAKE' MIXED UP AND I'M A MORON. I apologise! :-P But my point still remains - I see people in the comments saying that this and Wind Waker HD are the same thing and that 'I'm a dumbass' - but that may be my fault with not explaining what I mean well enough. Wind Waker HD, as much as I love it, is EXACTLY the same game as Wind Waker. No difference. Yes, it looks much nicer, plays a little faster and has a few added quests and stuff (which are kind of....not too great, if you ask me), but this game is ENTIRELY new. The only things that remained the same are the story elements, structure, music, and some of the level designs. Only some, though. And the game plays COMPLETELY differently - all with entirely new areas, new cutscenes, new puzzles....it couldn't be any more different from the original. I don't really know what you'd call this game exactly - but that's my basic point, at least! :-D
So it's less of a "Wind Waker HD" and more of a "A Link Between Worlds"? Or would you put it maybe in the category of Metroid: Zero Mission? Or maybe the Pokemon remakes?
Fairly well produced video... I enjoyed it, with the exception of a few things you mentioned that I can't quite make sense of. First of all, I'd just like to say that Oddworld Abe's Oddysee is my all-time favorite video game (Maybe Exodus, I can never decide), and while I had some problems with this remake, I enjoyed it a lot. I really like the fact that Oddworld Inhabitants and JAW developed this, and I hope they give Exodus the same treatment. About this video though... A few things bugged me, because at some points it seemed like you were kind of talking out of your ass, assuming that the audience wouldn't know enough to question your information anyway. At 9:30 for example: I've played through the entire game and saved all 299 mudokons. I've got no clue what he is talking about here. The overall layout is _almost_ identical to the original with a few minor changes to accommodate the scrolling camera. There are no new areas to explore... Unless I somehow completely missed these areas which sound significant, but yet has nothing of significance in them, this seems like false information altogether... There are single individual mudokons placed in areas where there were none in the original, but these areas are not new. Most added mudokons are just in the same secret areas as in the original game, difference being that there's about three times as many of them in each area. 13:35: As I said, most modukons are in the same secret areas as in the original game. You knew all of the secret areas from the original, yet you missed 47 of the 70 mudokons in the starting area of the game? There is only one single mudokon before the Stockyards that is in an area where there previously were no mudokons (He's past the Zulag train). The remaining 69 are scattered in the same secret areas which were in the original... 15:56: There is no falling damage in any mode, not even in hardmode. This is either a misconception or a conscious misinforming. I've tried hopping off ledges which would equal 3 or 4 screens in the original which didn't kill me, even though I was playing on hardmode. This actually pissed me off a little while I was first playing through this remake myself, because it was yet another thing that made the game way too damn easy. When this remake comes out on PC I sure hope to see a mod that allows for a more genuinely similar experience to that of the original, by actually adding fall damage, removing the infinite bottle caps that can kill bats (Literally kill lethal hazards with no consequence... You wut?), and removing, or at least limiting quicksaves... But yeah, super long comment because I'm bored and these things seemed a bit off to me. I guess if there are any fans of the original game watching this, know that the remake isn't _quite_ what he is making it out to be. It's still pretty damn good though.

Perfect review! One thing I might want to add: Its amazing how the HD cutscenes dont look "much" improved to the old ones :D Makes me stand in awe how amazing the old one was already.

Abes oddysee is a HUGE part of my childhood and seeing abe in glorious hd brings a tear to my eye. Also I can tell caddy really loves abe too, this pleases me
Can't wait for oddworld soulstorm review Edit: Just watched Caddy's Soulstorm playthrough, unless he's making a "The Blank World of Oddworld" video, it ain't happening.
From the footage i've seen of new and tasty, i'd say it's kind-of lost most of it's atmosphere (eg. the new portal animation, bird animation, walking cycle and many of the FX noises). Can't help but feel this game has lost it's dark/gritty side and just turned into a much more cartoony experience. I hope it's not as 1 dimensional as looks (compared to the originals). Should have just been a HD remake.
huskiesghost the still images is what gave oddworld its atmosphere because of how much detail went into them, the rendered world of new and tasty doesnt seem tangible at all
I loved New 'N' tasty, and Abes Exodus is fun but the snappiness really works better imo, its still a slow game but you have that little more precise movement. Also still having the option for a run button in New 'N' Tasty is really nice.
I was really up or down on this game, I love the classics and cant have them ruined by something new. But within the first five minutes of this video, I spun around in my office chair, turned on my ps4 and bought the game. Thank you +Caddicarus every game review should strive to be like yours.
I felt the same way about "Out Of This World"/"Another World" when I played it as a kid. It was so surreal for my kid self, and I only rented the Genesis cartridge for the weekend so I didn't get to play too much of it, leading to not remembering a lot about it, and thinking that the game was just a weird dream, until I found somebody reviewing it on the Internet years later. It made me track it down and buy it just for nostalgia's sake. :)
I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one who suffered audio problems with this game; it happened quite late in th egame and I was worried I'd done something to the game or my PS4, hopefully it's patched in a future update. I otherwise loved the game itself! I tried the original after your retrospective, and am a bit ashamed to admit I couldn't really get into it. It just felt rather frustrating and it difficult to control (if I'd just persevered I would've found you pick up the game as you go along and have more fun the more you replay it, but I never learn :L) but felt the slicker, more fluid gameplay that you describe really helped me enjoy the game more and I had a lot more fun with it (which I know isn't the game's real intention, but I still found it challenging and unforgiving at times). The game is definitely worth the price, not only is it beautiful (actually causing me to use the PS4 share feature for the first time) but I've already got a good few hours from my first playthrough and now I'm trying to find ever mudokon which is giving me even more hours of fun!
I'm so pumped to play this you have no idea. This was one of my favorite games on the first PlayStation and I absolutely I am thrilled Thats Its been giving such a loving treatment. Great video!
I feel like this game is a remake in the sense that it takes core elements of the original but is remade with the same story and new and exciting aspects but HD games are remasters in the sense that the game is the exact same except for music and graphical upgrade as you would see in film remasterings if you catch my drift :)
MegaChoco96 I totally disagree. It completely missed the message of the first game. It showed us that corporations could use advertising to cover up the exploitation of laborers and encouraged us to ask questions. It also completely lost its creepy atmosphere and even has self-promoting posters in it for other games, its a slap to the face of the original game.
I've been wanting to play New n Tasty for a very long time now. I was originally going to wait until the PS3 version, but since I've already decided to buy a PS4 within the next few months, I'm going to make this the very first game that is put onto my new system. Until then, I'll enjoy the originals on my PS3 and Vita. Thanks for sharing your love of this stellar franchise and showing me just how amazing it is, Caddy. Really appreciate it.
Caddy please do MGS 4! I know you said it'd be a massive undertaking but your almost at your 100th video. That'd be a great way to celebrate 100 videos.
I adored the original game back when I was a kid, as soon as I heard there were difficulty levels I immediately decided that I will pick the hardest one, glad you think so too. Can't believe I still haven't played this game yet though, when this game is released on the PC it will be the best day of 2014 for me. And DLC... I loved Alf from the earlier games and the fact that he'll have his own little adventure and story is exciting me as it is. To sum up, I cannot wait until I can get this game.
I really enjoyed this version of the game, but it wasn't without its share of little things I found to gripe about. They were very minor, but they were enough for me to take notice. For one, the cutscenes felt too rushed like they tried to shorten them. Things happen at a quicker pace and failed to set the mood the way the original did. Abe sounded a little off too, which was accentuated by his more slapstick movements in the cutscenes that just didn't work as well as they did back in the PS1 scenes. The movement also took a lot of getting used to and ultimately just didn't feel as tight or responsive. Some of it was appreciated, like using the right stick to throw, but movement from the control stick just didn't work as well.
Although I have seen many youtubers play this already, hearing your opinion (be it nostalgic or not), I will definitely pick this up asap. Especially considering the DLC.
Is it just me or is his justification of saying Wind Waker HD being "just a remake" and New 'n' Tasty being more than "just a remake" hypocritical? I agree that New n Tasty is more than just a remake, but Wind Waker is more than just a remake too
i agree with Y05H1ROX they did implament the gamepad, gyroscope, touch screen, quick sail item, widescreen HD, and the small miiverse message in a bottle thing. and they also made it free this year with the mario kart bundle.
anthony banos But tweaking the game mechanics a little and up-rezzing the 3D and... Does it have textures? I haven't played it personally, but I remember it mostly being cell-shaded lol... But yeah, it isn't the same as redoing everything... Well not totally everything, but you know? The original Abe's oddysee wasn't in 3d... They had to make all the environments and everything in 3D... They may have had some 3D models from before, but probably not for the stages... They've added a lot more than an HD remake usually does.
The games you described are HD Ports and HD Enhanced Ports. Ports = Exact same assets and game but moved to a new console, sometimes optimized or with a small bit more content added. New and Tasty is a Remake, entirely new game from the ground up with new assets and everything. Here's how I look at it Port = Same game with barely anything added to it, some of the code rewritten so it is optimized for the new console it is on. IE: Final Fantasy 4 PS1, Chrono Trigger PS1, Metal Gear Solid 3 3DS, I feel many HD ports fall under this (graphics weren't changed, code is just optimised and textures updated), Banjou Kazooie 360, Perfect Dark 360 Enhanced Port = still basically same game and engine, with updates done to the game. This can be merely graphical, fixes of known bugs and glitches, additional content and quests. IE: Final Fantasy 4 PSP, Final Fantasy X/X2 PS3 (Updated graphics confirmed, new quests confirmed, etc), Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD, Halo Anniversary Edition 360, Mario 64 DS Remake = Pays respect to the original game, by keeping much of the same but at the same time is an entire new game, new engine and performance from the ground up. Many of the conventions are updated for modern gaming IE: Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes NGC, Tomb Raider Anniversary 360, Conker Live and Reloaded XBOX, Lunar Silver Star Story Complete PS1/SAT ReBoot = Entirely new reimagining of a series. Most if not all of the series is thrown out and brought back in new ways to draw in a newer, larger demographic. Sometimes these changes are met with much hatred and resistance. Usually done to make an older series current and up to date IE: DmC, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, Wolfenstein.. etc etc.
Thanks Caddi. At the time I posted this Oddworld New 'n Tasty is free on PS Plus I remembered your review then thought I would download this. it was a good choice. This game is really good
One thing I have noticed about many modern games is the lack of care in the audio. Many big games like fallout skyrim and other free roams like prototype have very buggy audio. And the problem ranges from delayed effects to dialogue missing at first and then coming in have way through the conversation.
Caddicarus 16:50 - That being said, did you notice that these problems were also in the pc and PSX version of the original? Especially more prevalent in the Exodus variant of this game, half the time I had no sound there, especially after sessions longer than 30 minutes. It annoyed the sheit out of me, as an 8 year old kid, but I kept going regardless. Ah, the memories. So many rage moments. Fighting over the controller playing hot potato with my friends. ... we're not friends anymore.
I haven't played the original Abe's Odyssey (although, I watched my dad played it back when I was a kid), it looks like a epic game to try out! Awesome review! :D
This is like THE perfect game for me who, having played the first two games when I was young, haven never gotten really far in it or seen the end. If I ever buy a PS4 (possible when MGSV launches) I'll get this for sure.
when i was younger i never liked oddworld but thanks to you talking about it made me rebuy the orinial on ps3 and i loved it and i will buy the remaster thanks to you. thank caddy! also i'm still waiting on your tomba! 1 and 2 review
When you said Abe's Oddysee only had one way of solving each puzzle, even though this is the case a lot of the time, you were wrong. On the 1st level of the game when you go into the secret level barrel you control the Slig and make it kill itself, while when I play I have always lured the slig into the trap and pulled the lever.
The first oddworld game that i play as a kid was Munches adventure, my brother and i didnt know the name when we were kids so we called it "the soda game" when we would ask to play a game we would say that. I remember watching my mom play the game. My brother and i loved munches adventure and we still do.
I liked this game but there were some problems which bugged me like the excessive amounts of bloom, Abe's chanting system with that weird spiral effect, checkpoints are shown on hard difficulty and when the outside of RuptureFarms was shown during the intro, it looked too futuristic. RuptureFarms is supposed to look worn, unsanitary and dark with the sense of oppression, just like in the original game. I will always prefer the original Abe's Oddysee compared to this. I am excited for the remake of Abe's Exoddus though.
This look great! and I will defiantly get it when it comes out! most likely on the PS Vita/ PS4 although the Wii U version seems tempting! Now.. if only they did this with the first 3 Spyros... sigh, a girl can dream.
The only way to remake Spyro is on a activision multi-platform game. Spyro is on the core of the Skylanders franchise. This days Skylanders is a ATM for activision they would never let this thing get out of their own control. By the way nintendo kicks everyones ass on the platform specific sales "game".
Having a Crash Bandicoot 1-3 remake would make my life complete. Imagine everything made in a new engine but retaining the original artstyle with remixed music. But with Activision still owning it...it'll never happen ;_;
As of yesterday, Patch 5 is out, with a rebalanced audio mix. Hopefully it will fix some of the issues you mentioned such as a number of the actor noises playing with the wrong voice filter or not at all if they were too far away from Abe. I understand the desire to make New N Tasty as close to the original as possible while revamping the gameplay for the 21st century. That said, one of my favorite things about the RE remake (which I think is the closest analog to this) was the way Capcom expressly designed it to fuck with everybody who had worn out the original. All the ambushes would come from different places or have some extra element, with undocumented features like the enemies you killed resurrecting as even more powerful crimson heads a half hour later. It was hilarious to watch people all cocksure like "I've played this a million times I'll just breeze through this" and having their future knowledge actually get in their way more often than not. OI likes those kinds of tricks, too; one of my all-time favorite moments in Oddysee is when you enter a room with a bat, note the bat, then concentrate on the fireflies, which spell out "watch out for that bat," and you have that split-second to think, "yeah, I already saw the bat, dumbass, it's over--" and then you realize it's moved right in front of your face and then it kills you. Best, troll, ever. Playing a game is fun, but getting played back is even better.
16:29 The audio is still a mess on the Switch version, even though they've had like 6 years to fix such issues by its release. When I was doing a comparison review between Oddysee and New 'n' Tasty, I couldn't deny how the audio just WORKS in the original with all the effects in balance. It's like J.A.W was smoking pot celebrating the visual delivery of the remake and slapped the audio together in the last minute before deadline. I just can't see how more processing power would equal worse audio.
i thought an HD remake was where it was the same game (in a sense) but everything was made from scratch as if the idea was fully knew, whereas an HD remaster was where it was the same exact game from the same assets but looks more clearer and vibrant with models being touched up slightly.
Caddicarus, i fangirl whenever you upload a video ^.^ also, do you like Gears of War? My life would be complete seeing a retrospective on the trilogy :D Positive or not xD
I loved this game so much, hopefully we'll see more awesome stuff from Oddworld in the future :D But I had the same audio problems you described, and became a bit annoying =/
I don't quite understand the need for people to clarify what is a HD remake or what is a HD remaster, as if it is of grave importance. It's a simple term used to describe something old that is being brought forth in some new way, be it an old thing with a new skin, or an old thing that is tweaked a bit (or whatever else can be considered a change). In the video, it was clarified that this wasn't just the original with a new skin, but it was tweaked in order to improve. That's enough clarification, I'd like to think.
That's not exactly a problem. Even if he does -- which I'm not going to argue whether or not he does, for that would contradict my point -- it really doesn't matter all that much. The main point that he was getting at was that it was not the old game with a new skin or a game with some tweaks that would lessen the quality of the game, but it was a game that was tweaked and adapted to the tweaks that were made, making improvements overall, in his opinion.
I would agree, except for the fact that he lumped other remakes in with his list of remasters (since I'm assuming he failed to understand the difference) and it muddies his point. Basically, it's a clarification issue. This would fit into the remake category, with Wind Waker HD, Resident Evil on GameCube, and that sort of ilk. It also causes an unintentional bias issue, as he sounds like he's lumping all of these other ones together, and keeping Oddworld separate, when that's not the case. Either way, I see where you're coming from, but there really ARE legitimate issues with this misunderstanding, and the people correcting him are not wrong to do so.
OverlordOcelot I guess that does make sense. While I consider it peripheral, at best, I can understand why it may be something to consider when it's put like the way you worded it, and not like, "He called something that it supposedly isn't, perhaps, so we should crucify him." ...Which is the majority of what I'm seeing. Exaggerated, of course, but you see my point, I presume. It's all just sorta like people fighting over what subgenre a piece of music might be. At least, in my eyes.
Basically,a remastered edtion brings the Graphics and Sound to modern levels,a remake does all that and adds a lot of new stuff, such as stuff that was scraped do to limitations of the time. He just has them backwards is all, maybe its a British thing.
I think what Nintendo is charging for Wind Waker is justified by the fact that the original (which looks and sounds worse anyway) still costs $60 most places, so charging $50 for the superior version is generous if nothing else.

Caddy, would you mind if, for the next Caddy's Retrospectives you, review, let's say, first three series of Silent Hill? :)
I'm going to make a prediction and say that if Oddworld Inhabitants decide to redo Abe's Exodus, they're going to call it Oddwold:Twice the Flavor.

TheStolken yea really it's stupid.
Its too bright......I'm not anywhere near as intimidated which was a big draw for me and a big part of what makes Odyssey so enjoyable and grimy.
+masterofdoom5000 I thought that at first, probably because I was just so used to other one, but I began to like NNT the more I played it.
@@CapitalJ2 exactly!
just turn down the gamma
What i did to help that is turn down the gamma super low, not as creepy but still atmospheric.
@zeditus5731 honestly i thought oddworld was always kind of goofy except for strangers wrath
GODAMN IT. The day that is my birthday, Caddy didn't said "Happy Freaking Birthday". I feel a little bit dissapointed... But not too much.
watch a different video, lol!
Happy birthday fuckface
He does at 22:59, but happy birthday regardless!
djknightime Sorry, wasn't paying attention...
NOTHING TO SEE HERE, GUYS! Keep moving with your life.
Did you watch all the way to the end?
The video I found your channel from. Seeing you be so successful makes me so happy. Keep it up!
Haha thanks for uploading this on my birthday, Caddy. Oddworld and Caddicarus is a perfect mix xD
I love how you share such love for this game. It is my favorite game of all time and pretty much is my childhood.
Nice touch putting the Genesis in the background. Happy 25th birthday Genesis!
You have it the other way around. New 'n' Tasty IS a remake, because it's been remade from the ground up. The other games you mentioned are remasters.
Guys I don't want to be that guy but recently I have been suspicious about Caddys Floating NEC TV, I think it might not be real
It's not real

People think the original is dated? No way, it was ahead of it's time.
I prefer the original. The game is beautiful, but some areas shouldn't be like that. Also, hate the analog stick controls.
I got it just yesterday and they actually added patches to make the controls more like the original.
Yeah, 2D games just feel wrong with analog stick.

I think most of it is because of the graphics of today. I liked how the background has life now and no still images.
I want more of a "HD remake" from a game I've played hundreds of times and completed 100%

Wind Waker HD isn't a sharpened remaster either Caddy. It's rebuilt from the ground up in a new engine completely.
No it isn't. Same game engine with added enhancements.
Jason Orozco They used the same engine as in Skyward Sword.
TopHatLucario I thought they used the E3 Zelda Demo Engine

No, they said in their Hyrule Warriors Direct that they used the Skyward Sword engine for Wind Waker HD.

Your picture fits perfectly with you your comment...
CADDICARUS! YOU HAVE SPOOKED BY THE SPOOKY SKELETON!
20:14 Caddy, you sneaky bastard, firing shots like that.
And then i finished the video and it brought a happy tear to my eye. I've never met anyone with as much love for Oddworld as I have.
I Love Your Intros For All Your Shows
I feel like this game is a remake in the sense that it takes core elements of the original but is remade with the same story and new and exciting aspects but HD games are remasters in the sense that the game is the exact same except for music and graphical upgrade as you would see in film remasterings if you catch my drift :)
You would be absolutely correct in feeling that.
MegaChoco96
remake =.something that have been remade.
Remaster = same thing but making the visuals better
Very in depth Caddy. Nicely done
Sad part is I was able to finish this version as opposed to the original. For some reason the original was just harder for me.
It's free right now
I don't have a PS4 right now. I bought it on Steam though.
I really need to pick this up. I was so obsessed with Oddworld when I was 12, such a great puzzle/platformer.
That smirk at 1:50, Best part of the video lol
Caddy please do MGS 4! I know you said it'd be a massive undertaking but your almost at your 100th video. That'd be a great way to celebrate 100 videos.
You should do a Caddy's Retrospectives on the Jak and Daxter Franchise. Those games were my childhood
To sum up, I cannot wait until I can get this game.
my buddy andrew voices in this game ! Its so great to see u reviewing it ^^
It was cool watching caddy stream this
I like how he kept the table with the move
The music that you used at the end of this video really reminds me of the atmospheric score from Creatures: Docking Station.
Caddy loved talking about this game.
It would be the coolest to see a follow up interview with the just add water and oddworld crew
Gee Caddy, look how bright and happy the new one looks... JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL!
He was so slim, nice video as always!
Great to hear that this is coming out on Wii U so I don't have to buy a PS4 to try this out.
so am i the only one who thinks caddi's cheesey jokes make him just too cute?
Holy crap Caddy you make this game sound really delicious, I hope I will experience the same trip you had with the originals!
moments like 1:36 makes me believe Caddicarus would fit perfectly into a Roald Dahl film.
I might check this out on the Wii U. Great Review Caddy!
Is it just me or is his justification of saying Wind Waker HD being "just a remake" and New 'n' Tasty being more than "just a remake" hypocritical? I agree that New n Tasty is more than just a remake, but Wind Waker is more than just a remake too
The funny thing is that if odd world were a full retail release it would more than likely be full price.
The fact that they got rid of the Tingle Tuner when they had a big ass fucking gamepad perfect for it will forever make it the worst remake ever.
i agree with Y05H1ROX they did implament the gamepad, gyroscope, touch screen, quick sail item, widescreen HD, and the small miiverse message in a bottle thing. and they also made it free this year with the mario kart bundle.
anthony banos But tweaking the game mechanics a little and up-rezzing the 3D and...
***** wow... "worst remake ever" is a bit much for one small feature being omitted
I would want a piece of DLC that lets you have an interactive Q&A with Alf. It's probably impossible, but I want it. lol
if only i watched this earlier, it is my birthday and i was interested in this, but i didnt realize that this was released
This video was amazing, i even cried. Great job caddy!
Caddicarus, Just Add Water have announced the remake of Abe's Exoddus, but I think you already knew that
@@terreausore2435 yeah, I know, OOF..................
Not only audio problems. There are multiple glitches too in the game. Anyway, this is really one of the greatest reboots ever if not the greatest.
I'll never get tired of the new background
"47 Mudokins died!"
Erm... *hides the sign saying 274 dead*
I've totally played this before!
The games you described are HD Ports and HD Enhanced Ports.
Ports = Exact same assets and game but moved to a new console, sometimes optimized or with a small bit more content added.
New and Tasty is a Remake, entirely new game from the ground up with new assets and everything.
Here's how I look at it
Port = Same game with barely anything added to it, some of the code rewritten so it is optimized for the new console it is on. IE: Final Fantasy 4 PS1, Chrono Trigger PS1, Metal Gear Solid 3 3DS, I feel many HD ports fall under this (graphics weren't changed, code is just optimised and textures updated), Banjou Kazooie 360, Perfect Dark 360
Enhanced Port = still basically same game and engine, with updates done to the game. This can be merely graphical, fixes of known bugs and glitches, additional content and quests. IE: Final Fantasy 4 PSP, Final Fantasy X/X2 PS3 (Updated graphics confirmed, new quests confirmed, etc), Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD, Halo Anniversary Edition 360, Mario 64 DS
Remake = Pays respect to the original game, by keeping much of the same but at the same time is an entire new game, new engine and performance from the ground up. Many of the conventions are updated for modern gaming IE: Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes NGC, Tomb Raider Anniversary 360, Conker Live and Reloaded XBOX, Lunar Silver Star Story Complete PS1/SAT
ReBoot = Entirely new reimagining of a series. Most if not all of the series is thrown out and brought back in new ways to draw in a newer, larger demographic. Sometimes these changes are met with much hatred and resistance. Usually done to make an older series current and up to date
IE: DmC, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, Wolfenstein..
I have to say dude. You are hilarious! You've got yourself another subscriber
Caddicarus
16:50 - That being said, did you notice that these problems were also in the pc and PSX version of the original? Especially more prevalent in the Exodus variant of this game, half the time I had no sound there, especially after sessions longer than 30 minutes.
It annoyed the sheit out of me, as an 8 year old kid, but I kept going regardless.
Ah, the memories.
So many rage moments.
Fighting over the controller playing hot potato with my friends.
... we're not friends anymore.
I haven't played the original Abe's Odyssey (although, I watched my dad played it back when I was a kid), it looks like a epic game to try out! Awesome review! :D
As always, great review! One can see that you're a real video game maniac.
This is like THE perfect game for me who, having played the first two games when I was young, haven never gotten really far in it or seen the end. If I ever buy a PS4 (possible when MGSV launches) I'll get this for sure.
when i was younger i never liked oddworld but thanks to you talking about it
made me rebuy the orinial on ps3 and i loved it and i will buy the remaster
thanks to you. thank caddy!
also i'm still waiting on your tomba! 1 and 2 review
Oh my god I've been looking forward to this so much!
Hi there,
you´ve got an fan from germany here! =)
Fantastic video!
You should do a movie collection video +Caddicarus. Looks like you got a few movies to show off
This is the hardest shilling I've ever seen lol
Same
I could listen to your voice for hours >_>
Holy crap, he finally made a video on my birthday!
On your detest for the price of Wind Waker HD: used copies of Wind Waker for Gamecube cost around the same (at least on Amazon).
Great video Caddy,I saw your stream on Twitch of this game ;)
This look great! and I will defiantly get it when it comes out! most likely on the PS Vita/ PS4 although the Wii U version seems tempting! Now.. if only they did this with the first 3 Spyros... sigh, a girl can dream.
The only way to remake Spyro is on a activision multi-platform game. Spyro is on the core of the Skylanders franchise. This days Skylanders is a ATM for activision they would never let this thing get out of their own control. By the way nintendo kicks everyones ass on the platform specific sales "game".
***** I know... that whole paragraph was hard to read lol.
Having a Crash Bandicoot 1-3 remake would make my life complete. Imagine everything made in a new engine but retaining the original artstyle with remixed music. But with Activision still owning it...it'll never happen ;_;
Finalblue1234 you are all breaking my heart lol
Finalblue1234 as long as they improve the saving in the first crash game i would love to see a remake of it
As of yesterday, Patch 5 is out, with a rebalanced audio mix.
I didnt realize new n tasty was out already. I gotta download it now
16:29 The audio is still a mess on the Switch version, even though they've had like 6 years to fix such issues by its release.
Only a month before it's on Steam (Feb 25), I can't freakin wait!
Holy cow that's alotta blu-rays, love the collection caddy :D
A physical release of new and tasty would be awesome.
I think you may be a little Backwards or mixed up on the difference between a HD Remake and a HD Remaster....
Caddicarus, i fangirl whenever you upload a video ^.^ also, do you like Gears of War? My life would be complete seeing a retrospective on the trilogy :D Positive or not xD
Caddy should start a lets play channel and play the oddworld series
I loved this game so much, hopefully we'll see more awesome stuff from Oddworld in the future :D
But I had the same audio problems you described, and became a bit annoying =/
His left arm phases through the TV's table below the TV...
Noticed Caddy has a DVD of The Room on his shelf.
The big problem is that he has it mixed up
That's not exactly a problem.
OverlordOcelot
I guess that does make sense. While I consider it peripheral, at best, I can understand why it may be something to consider when it's put like the way you worded it, and not like, "He called something that it supposedly isn't, perhaps, so we should crucify him."
...Which is the majority of what I'm seeing.
Abe's Odyssey Is one of my top 20 favorite games of all time, so I'm the happiest man in the world to see it get a re-imagining.
