  • I found an old bed in the garbage and I decided to make a mini guitar with it. I think the wood was pine.
    Materials and tools:
    Pickup: amzn.to/2ybFu7v
    Lathe: amzn.to/2E4v7Yn
    Zip ties: amzn.to/2pIL38L
    Hand plane: amzn.to/2RAtjJC
    Spoke shave: amzn.to/2pHhYup
    For more information about this project, go here:

    To find the fret positions I used this on line fret calculator:
    www.stewmac.com/FretCalculato...
    To connect all the electric parts, I used this wiring diagram for one humbucker pickup and one volume knob:

    Then he makes the frets out of zip-ties

    I dare you make an electric guitar out of a guitar hero controller

    • @Roaether
      @Roaether 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      That would be near impossible, unless you where to strenthen the neck a lot. Each string has a tension of around 15-20 pounds EACH, so they could be pulling on with a total force of 90-120 pounds, and a plastic neck could never support that. Even now, modern guitars have a steel rod (a Truss Rod) in neck to allow it to be thinner.
      it could be done, yes, but the ammount of work done on it (strengthening the neck/body, wiring it, shaving down and re-freting the fret board, etc) would probably change the guitar so much that it would look nothing like the original
      But hey, if you want to ship me a Guitar Hero guitar, the electronics, a threaded rod, and some tools to my apartment in China, I'd be more then happy to try XD
