- Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra ships with UFS 4.0 flash storage, offering fast multitasking and high-resolution recording performance. However, with increasing on-device AI demands, Samsung is expected to upgrade the Galaxy S25 Ultra to UFS 4.1 storage. According to Sawyer Galox on X, this improvement might not extend to the more affordable Galaxy S25 models.
The specific speed differences between UFS 4.1 and UFS 4.0 are unknown. Samsung may limit UFS 4.1 to the S25 Ultra to cut costs, similar to previous practices. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also rumored to feature a 16GB RAM model, up from the S24 Ultra’s 12GB.
All Galaxy S25 models are expected to run on Google’s Gemini Nano 2nd-gen, integrated with Galaxy AI for enhanced performance. These upgrades suggest the S25 Ultra will offer superior on-device AI capabilities compared to its predecessor.
