Par is a social construct. Go back 100 years and courses were rated on their 'bogie'. The score an average player was supposed to score. We should go back to that. Shit, you just said that.
When I play with my beginner sons I teach them this. This hole is a par 5 for you, where do you want to move the tee box to? 180 yards closer and in the fairway or 230 yards closer and in the trees? I try to make them think like a Playa.
Great ideas. The "Lying' zero" concept is something that I will try to encourage the higher handicap guys I play with to think about,. we're always trying to convince them about the net GIRs and this may be even more beneficial to reduce their stress a bit.
Love this, Playa. I've tried to get my father-in-law to add a stroke to each hole but maybe he can accept the lying zero thought process. Dude rarely breaks 100 and still gets upset about bogeys
I just started golf a few years ago.. Baus had me breaking 90 after watching him over a winter.. Hoping to break 80 this year.. Maybe just get him planting feathers to start?
Hey Matt, maybe you can do a special video for the women players. The reason is that a few factors are different for them. For example, the average male amateur golfer has a handicap of 16, while an amateur woman golfer is 29. So breaking 100 is a tall order for many amateur women, and that includes playing off the forward tees. Also, many amateur women golfers can't hit a 150-yards, except their driver, and you can't expect them to keep hitting driver off the deck. Can you produce a video that talks about this?

Who is average at a 16 handicap? Uh i disagree.. Amateurs are more like 22? Just my experience though
