    Awesome glad to see people taking care of themselves with a papr system! I've been welding my whole career with speedglas papr systems and wouldn't use anything else, currently running 9100fx aswell, 3 years old hood and nothing has broken. The spare parts are quite costly if it comes out of your pocket but it's worth it. I've got a zip tie around the waist to tuck the leftover belt into for safety. Oh and I wear mine around exact same as you did at 15:30 😁 like a hat. When welding sitting behind a table I wrap the papr system around my chairs back rest and use it that way. Good stuff!

    Great review. I love 3M stuff. I think they have an actual pack pack for that, not just the straps. Also the loose hood at the back helps to protect, I know some don't like it. Have you thought about trying the protective wrap from a TIG torch? CK Worldwide sells it in rolls, you might be able to adapt it over the hose, comes in zipper or Velcro? One more thing, looks like Speedglas is the only one that allows you to add organic vapour cartage's, great for protection form welding fumes from stainless or Ni-chrome, galvanised, etc.

    If you enjoy the 9100FX, the G5-01 by Speedglas is has fully adjustable airflow in the hood its self

    I take it yours is the version without the air flow control levers, thus, the eye dryers.

    yea, it is the best helmet i have, ever.... a cant trust that tere is a lot of profesionals who still not use it. but yes when you have PAPR version is not possible use it without it, I had just 9100 wersion without AIR function, and it was awsome, but not as with safe for lungs at all

    Nice video, if you get a chance try a optrel crystal e3000x papr.

    Can you do a review of the optrel swiss air??

  • @andreashoferpartei
    @andreashoferpartei 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I recommend to use Optrel Swiss Air with any welding helmet you want. Then the welding helmet can be put down. These helmets get heavy on the neck over time and grinding is better without helmet.

    I have one that is at least 10 years old - I could never afford one but lucked into a used deal. HOWEVER I'm wondering if the lens optics degrade with time? I'm also really wanting the Lincoln 4C "blue" lens technology - welder friend raved about the visibility. But How do I upgrade the lens in my 9100FX? There is No way I'm going to quit using my 9100FX w/air.

    Hi I am new to wearing glasses, can you tell me if you Weld with your glasses on under the hood. Just purchased the same model.

    • @fluxngutz4667

      Hey there. Ya absolutely! I get all my prescription glasses that meet the safety standards to wear a safety glasses as well.
      Just be mindful if you are nearsighted or far sighted and the distance of your welding piece. That can distort your vision

    you don't have the belt set up correctly. there is a slot on each side that the velcro is supposed to go through. there is a back pack that you can get for it. I use it and its so much better than the belt.
