I was wondering the same because I've seen people spray the mold and others don't. I've also read to remove from mold after about an hour and allow to rest/set the rest of the way on cooling rack.

Hi Denise, I'm doing some research about soap making, and I was wondering if people learn how to make soap to make it for themselves or to sell the soap. What's your opinion on that ?? Thanks.
I just read adding fresh ingredients to melt and pour soap can cause bacterial growth and mold. Same article said fresh ingredients, such as honey, puree and milks, should be added before saponification (is that how you spell it?).
That’s correct if you plan to sell your soap do not use any fresh ingredients even dry flowers can mold. You can only do that if you are making cold/hot process soaps.
Danielle DeGeorge oh no! Google SoapQueen she has great tips on melt and pour. The best explanation was think of melt and pour as a cake with no icings.
