Amazing as usuall, dont know how many of these flytying vids Ive seen, just fantastic to see how the flies take form from start to finnish
Beautiful tying! Even though I havent tied patterns like these I can appreciate their beauty and work that goes into this style! 👌
Great tying and a neat small pattern that will get attention from the fish. Love the movement these patterns have. Thanks for the video.
Again a fantastic fly and tying. Your thread control is out of this world. Thanks Davie!
Brilliant piece of tying, thank you for your generousity with your time.
Beautifully done davie, love the tube fly videos!

Never tried these and often wondered how they were made. Cheers Davie
love that story about the (temple) dog spooking the pool Davie haha definitely trying that. legend
Great technique Sir thanks for sharing. I may try to tie some of these to try on big brook trout in Labrador this June
Nice Scandi that Davie. It's a bit like their "Usual" fly which is near enough a black and orange with a blue hackle. I'll be fishing one in Norway this coming season.
I love it!
Interesting fly
..nice pattern Daviesan 🤠🇸🇪🤠
Thanks Davie
Proper🤙
Where would one find these kind of tubes and inner tubes Davie? Thanks for the advise in advance.
Great looking tube fly mate. Was just wondering if you can still get the artic runner. Not seen it any place to buy some. Best Regards from West Virginia, Ken
Hi Ken,
It's been a while since I bought some but I did a search and it looks like there's a few selling it still..I'm glad you liked the fly as well..

@@DavieMcPhail thanks mate. It’s always hard to find good tying materials on here anymore. Glad the Master knows where to look. Best Regards from West Virginia, Ken
Beautiful pattern, superbly tyed as usual Davie, did you dye the badger ? If so what was the original ? Whiting's ?
Hi David,
I did dye the cape and it was a Whiting Brahma rooster neck which I have attached a link to for you to see..I'm glad you liked the fly..
All the very bows Davie..

Beautiful with great explanations! The Scandinavian style is newer to me so this was excellent. I've noticed on many such patterns they are topped with goat or sheep-is this to enhance the tear drop form or is there another reason? Thanks so much!
Hi Sam,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, the goat does enhance the teardrop form that gives these flies the movement that makes them worth tying and fishing..I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the kind comments..
All the very best Davie
Thanks,keep them coming@@DavieMcPhail
Great, once again thank you!

Davie, what scissors do you recommend? I'm looking for a pair with sharp tips. What do you use? Regards David.
Hi David
I like the 4 inch razor scissor which you can buy from many companies which are normally of a higher quality than the ones you may buy off Ebay though they can be worth having as a backup..I like the Fulling Mill version which I normally use but they need a sharpen at the moment after a good year of hard use.
All the very best Davie..
@@DavieMcPhail Davie, are they made by filling mill or Loon?
Hi David,
No they aren't as they have their own version but I have used loon's version and I would say they are the exactly the same quality so I would certainly recommend either...
All the very best Davie..
👍😎👈
Davie, Could I use these for bull trout?
Hi Robert,
I'm sure if they like a fly with a lot of movement like a small fish then this would certainly be a good style and fly to try...
All the very best Davie..
