Home Built IBC Tote Firewood Conveyor Under $500 Homemade!

  • Will this homebuilt Fire Wood elevator work in my processing center set up and with different log splitters? Follow along as I re-design and repurpose an old livestock loader into a firewood processor conveyor. Plans change, my welding skills are put to the test, and my supplies run short. If this works it will definitely be a step in the right direction to make splitting firewood faster and easier. It should work to fill Ibc totes, firewood log lift bags, and may even work to load trucks and trailers. So will the build hold together and work out?

Nice build Heath and thanks for the mention! My treadmill was only 4’ long so I could only get it high enough for a 275 gallon tote. I figure I can just remove one top section on one side of the 330 gallon totes and make that work.

Heath it almost looks like your welder leads are backwards. I had that happen with mine. Your welder has leads down by the wire feed I think if you use Flux core your gun has to be the ground. You get way more spatter if it's backwards.😊

Some times you have to use a adjustable wrench on the odd ball metric bolts. I have a 36 inch adjustable wrench if the safety Sally's mess with me I will use it on them. Take care, be safe and well.
