I have a 2012 SEL and I love it. This moron says the powertrain is not good? Is he kidding. Its so quiet you don't even know that its running. Its the best vehicle I have ever owned.

MyFord Touch, can be laggy, and at times a bit glitchy. And Ford juat funked it up, by just rushing into it all, and not paying attention, like a bunch of idiots usually do!

I have a 2008 Ford Edge and and I love it. No problems whatsoever. The problem with Consumer Reports is that they only like foreign cars! They should change their name to 'Asian Consumer Reports.'

Consumer Reports always favors foreign cars over American cars, that's why I would never subscribe. I just bought a 2014 Edge SEL and love it. Ours doesn't have the Ford Touch feature, the radio and HVAC is changed with buttons and dials which I like.

Is it true that the edge V6 engine is that noisy? I am just curious. Because I read other reviews and they actually like the engine noise and strong acceleration. I can't wait to test drive one in the future.
I have a 2008 and it still rolls strong .
Have you ever had any transmission problems as of yet? And did you do a transmission fluid change?
@M1ntberryKrunch true. i also like how they say it doesnt have alot of power, its not used for drag racing people.. its 245hp is plenty for a 4 cylander that gets 30+ mpg..

@ijl05 Would not say that as I have had mine for nearly three months now and engine noise does not even figure in my list of worries. The only thing that does concern me is the braking because it is well below the standard of my VW Touareg. I would not be comfortable speeding in a mildly congested area, knowing that the brakes somehow feel disproportionately incapacitated in relation to the car's weight. Otherwise, it is a pleasure to drive and the interior is a far cry from other American cars.
Turn the headrest around, problem solved. I have an '11 SEL, so I don't have the fancy interface with the fussy buttons and touch screen. I have proper knobs and buttons for climate control and radio/CD.
I am driving an Edge Unlimited here in the Netherlands and I love the car !! So convenient and comfortable. What a whinnygirl this guy is....
I like the car, but I don't like the reviewers attitude. TH-cam needs a more complex rating system so people can rate the content of the video and the presentation style of the video. Just something to think about.
I do not know if you are aware of this, but auto makers typically make models more than one year. We can only assume which model you are reviewing as the Edge has changed almost every year. The year should be in the title, about section, and first 10 seconds of the video- it is in NONE.
MyFord touch does indeed suck, but the Edge is a fine vehicle.
The voice reconition works nicely unlike my mom Lexus
I think its a good car, but I dont want touch screen buttons...I dont know how long they will last in 8 years

Throw this guy in a Mazda CX-9 and he probably wouldn't be sounding like a little whining girl that didn't get a pony for her birthday. I could probably toss some Toyota or Honda emblems on the Ford Edge and he wouldn't even know.

I like Ford touch, the design was revolutionary in 2011 and still is. Now all manufacturers are doing it but Ford did it 10 years ago.
The head rests on the 2018 are adjustable. The v6 sounds powerful yet quiet overall. Love ours!
This crossover sucks especially in fwd form plenty of torque steer, my ford touch is unresponsive complicated to use which makes it quite distracting to use while driving, no traction control either.it has plenty of room buts it not that comfortable to me this vehicle is just outright dangerous to drive especially in inclement weather.shame on ford for selling this piece of junk with high tech gadgetry

If he is happy with every car then whats the point of a review? the whole thing about reviews is to throw out what could be improved in a vehicle, if you want to be told good things then just go to the dealership and the salesmen would be happy to give you a good review.

My colleagues and I would like to share with you our issue with Ford M.E, which is a Manufacturer problem with their “Edge & Explorer” brand that we bought 2013-2014, that has an Intolerable burning smell inside the car while accelerating and they are not taking any action about it until this moment.
If there is any suggestions that can help please share it with us.
I do have the same problem, the burning smell inside the cabin. I live in El Salvador. I did try 2 Edge's and a Explorer and they all have the same problem. Engine: some times it takes too long to respond compared to a Jeep grand Cherokee. I am planning to change it. Hate the bad smell and the dealer do not know how to fix it. very disappointed.
i have a 2011 SEL AWD without myfordtouch...
pretty much all manual controls with very large, easy to use controls that you can use wearing MITTS! Analog gauges as well with only a small digital screen in the middle make things nice.
this is a top model and i'm honestly glad i just got the SEL without myfordtouch, nav, and all that other BS that just makes your dash get fingerprints on it.
This review is missing information the headrest are an option to become adjustable.. On limited trims the do adjust. And you forgot to mention that the front windows are laminated.

@ 1:51 - no point complaining, a headrest is meant to be as close to the back of the head as possible for reduced whiplash in a rear collision, but this guy whines and moans about a perfectly goo safety feature, if they listened to him and took it out, he'd moan it wasn't safe. You can't win with this guy!
I don't like the reviewer's face. Plans cancelled to buy this car. Ford lost a valuable customer.
