Jokic broke NBA media. He exposed them as uninformed, lazy, and prisoners of the narrative. The ESPN layoffs are part of it. ESPN saw that their full line up of dozens of “pundits” (pronounced PUN-dit, just one N) all had bad takes on Jokic. Ironically the one player that was an early Jokic advocate was Jalen Rose.

I think everybody should give each other a pass on this. Why? It's what Nikola would want. He's broken the mold. He doesn't look like a star. He's a reluctant superstar. This had to happen for him to get respect. Now, he'd like us to change the subject. He's already forgotten about it, so should we. Let's look for the next unconventional superstar, and let the next Jeremy Lin stay longer in the league next time.

Yeah, also keep in mind, the first half where it was 1v1, jokic was killing Embiid, they slowed jokic by moving pj tucker onto jokic and doubling or triple teaming jokic, where the nuggets didn’t bother to make the adjustment with embiid.

Perkins exposed himself as a race hustler. His opinion that the 3 players who became mvp without being scoring leaders where white was such a lazy take, but it was enough to give the MVP vote to Embiid instead Jokic. If Jokic won the 2023 MVP award, he would join Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, and Bill Russell as the only players to win it 3x in a row. An elite pantheon. Perkins couldnt handle that

Deandre Ayton was getting praised because he held Jokic to 25/14/6 And in 2022 no MPJ or Murray he loses to the eventual champion. Draymond said he was the hardest player he had to guard. People don't seem to remember that MVP can mean multiple things. The term MVP is short for "most valuable player". And that value that generates the adjective "valuable", can actually mean many things. Check this out:
Most VALUABLE player can refer to the person who makes the absolute most difference in their team's performance with them on, respectively off the court. The player who makes the biggest difference with their presence - or lack thereof - is the most VALUABLE player of the league.
Most VALUABLE player can also refer to the person who has the absolute most expensive contract in the NBA - hence the most VALUABLE player.
Last but not the least, the most VALUABLE player in the NBA can refer to the person who generates most revenue for the NBA.
Or the player that actually delivers most minutes on the court measured in stuff like, contract cost per minute of the court - thereby generating value for money.
Its a fun thing, as we don't get a real metric and definition from all these clowns as to what is regarded as MVP, as they sometimes say its ONLY performance during regular season, but then in the same sentence be like "he good but he never won no rings, he never got to finals". Bitch whatchu on, didn't you say only regular season counts?
Also, fuck Clowndrick Jerkins and his pathetic excuse for an opinion.

I never realize how good Jokic is rebounding the ball. I did learn a lesson from him. He can predict where the ball is going when it missed so he can grab it like Dennis Rodman who had an ability to know and read where the ball is coming because my opinion is that he must study the bouncing and ricocheting of a ball a lot so he can figure it out.

Arguing about jokers match Ups being weak.... How disrespectful towards lebron, AD, KD, BOOKER and bam adebayo.... Joker scored in ridiculous ways VS all of them... So this was the ultimate playoff run by a single player ever. Most Points, most rebounds and most assist in the playoffs. No one has ever done it. Most Triple doubles ever in a single playoff season. Together with murray, first duo to have a 30 point triple double each in the same game. JUST EPIC. and one thing those so called experts should learn... Advanced analytics are there for a reason... To express the dominance of a player without having to watch his game. And if someone is number one in 80 percent of those categories, you just know this guy is a beast.

It is true what you said about Embiid at the end. I personally think Jokic deserved the MVP more, but I have no trouble with Embiid winning it, or with anyone who voted for him. I only have problem with voters who thought Jokic had a better regular season than Embiid, but they voted for Embiid so that Jokic wouldn't win 3 straight. That is just stupid. Embiid is a great player and I envisage success for him down the line.

0:40 I looked it up. In the 22-23 regular season Jokic had single digit FG attempts 10 times. THEY WERE 8-2 in those games. WHERE IS THE PROBLEM?
In the playoffs when he felt he needed to take over more he never attempted fewer than 12 FG. He increased his FGA per 36 minutes from 15.8 to 18.9 and his minutes from 33.7 to 39.5.
Plus, in the 4 games they lost in the playoffs he averaged 25.8 FGA vs 19.4 FGA in the 16 games he won. It's as if him shooting fewer shots IS BY DESIGN? BECAUSE THEIR OFFENSE ACTUALLY RUNS BETTER AND THEY WIN MORE GAMES THAT WAY. CAN YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT?

I think on the offensive side of the ball, even though his scoring numbers are lower than many other superstars, Jokic is the best player in the league because he knows how to facilitate the offense and get the most out of every play better than anyone else. He is a bit weaker on defense, and that’s where guys like Embiid, Giannis, AD could have an edge over him. But looking at him in the playoffs, the triple doubles aren’t stat padding, that’s just how he plays the game.
