Mrs. Thatcher was once asked about that when she was PM. "The visitor remarked that there was no room left for Thatcher’s picture. “Don’t worry,” she said with the trace of a smile, “I’ll push all the others down.” Time Magazine, June 20, 1983

The reason this one doesn’t have any laughter is because it’s the uncut sketch. The broadcast version leaves in the actual laughter from when it was shown live.
Say what you like, Tony Blair has got a sense of humour. I can't imagine Brown or Major or Thatcher doing something like this. I can see Cameron doing something similar but he'd never do it convincingly like Blair.
As soon as he says "Am I bovvered?" I burst out laughing, 'cause (like an eejit) I just wasn't expecting it! He pulled it off pretty well! Wish he'd managed the country just as well, though.
Did you know that during the filming of The Stolen Earth / Journey's End, Julian Bleach apparantly at one point said in his Davros voice: "I ain't bovvered" to crack up Catherine Tate.
Man, I miss the 2000s. Say what you want about Tony Blair and New Labour, but there's no denying it was better to live in Britain back then as compared to now - the TV was far better too; everyone felt united - I can't say that about today...
😂😂 I've watched so many of the "an I bothered" clips I walk around at work thinking "am I bothered?" But I didn't see thisb one coming. Cracked me up to see Tony Blair be the only one to do it first.
Awesome, love Tony (even more if he swapped Cherie for Lauren but ....) Did you notice, she changes her hairstyle from the street to walking up the stairs and then back again when she's in Tony's office
Miss having a PM who can laugh at themselves. I was born under major but grew up under Blair (I like the way that sounds, not sure why) and to me Blair always felt like the country’s dad. We had nana liz and papa Phil, & our weird cousin Harry, and tony Blair, our sometimes cringey, but always loving dad. Now, bear in mind I was a kid and I know he made political mistakes, etc but yeah I was a kid and that’s how it felt.
@Screwdriverofdestiny I completely agree with your view on Blair. It is unfortunate that he felt so adament about maintaining that relationship. Blair did wonderful things in his first term in office - the Good Friday agreement, ASBOs, work on education. When I watch videos of his interviews it strikes me that he is absaloutely behind his decisions with 'no regrets'. Can he be blamed for looking out for Britain?
watching this in 2022, there won’t be much space left on the walls for any more pictures!
this is when the world will end; or they extend the corridor
they didn't bother putting Liz Truss up there.
😂😂

HILARIOUS! The only thing is, though, it seems weird without the canned laughter that seems to be on all comedy programmes at the moment :O
A very bad comedy that has gone on for too long.

hahaha she cracks me up. Brilliant sketch. Fair dues to Tony blair for doing this
best thing he has done in his job besides Diana
He is modest for a prime minister ..

What a dumb comment
So does Boris Johnson (evidenced by his HIGNFY apperances)

Where did Tony Blair learn to act so well? Oh wait, I think I know that one.

I enjoyed it

Tony Blair ain't bothered.
