Great video, thank you! No other reviewers noted the huge weight difference.
Note: EGO's product picture shows the cable channel attached to the left of the right handle pillar, thus protecting it from stuff smashing into it from the outside.

I have a Ryobi 40V platform that includes a 14” brushless chainsaw, 15” brushed weed wacker & a 525 cfm brushed blower. And I’ve had them for 3 years and absolutely love them. All 3 operate terrifically. However, I went with the EGO 2135SP mower. The EGO is nearly 25 pounds lighter and is just a higher quality mower. 👍🏻✌🏻

Yep. Totally agree I really enjoy now cutting my grass!! It's sad that Ryobi could not made right because I really did not wanted to switch to another platform... now I stuck with having whole another charger and different batteries...

Great video well written, well formatted, and very informative. It helped me decide which one I wanted for my yard, I use a 46 in Cub cadet tractor to cut my 6k yard I use push mower to trim I only bag and do small areas so suction is the key I don’t want to re cut any areas, I’m old so mower weight is king, I am a ryobi tool user but imho I think their mowers fall a little short again great job hope to see more good videos like this on 👍

Glad to help very disappointed in Ryobi. Now I'm wondering if a smaller 20 inch lawn mower with single blade actually will have better suction power. . Because you do not have a speed control and power saving like this to models have. Making a Blade Runner at slow speed when motherboard and motor not sensing a resistant coming through heavy grass

Wow really? can you explan why. I love my ego. So much lighter. Powerful. And sucking power just unbelievable. Also response better. The only thing that I do not like that it does not have variable speed as you press on the trigger for self-propelled

Thanks for the review! But which model EGO is in your review? There's a bunch of 21" EGO mowers. A couple I'm looking at LM2135SP and LM2156SP have quite a range of power and weight. The LM2156SP is similar in weight to the RYOBI, whereas the LM2135SP is almost 20lb lighter weight.

Incorrect both Ego models weigh almost identical which is around 56lbs with no battery. Only difference between both is the 2156sp mower runs at 2800 rpm blade speed. It has a 1200W motor with 8.3 ft-lbs of torque and comes with a 10Ah battery and a 700W Turbo charger. The 2135sp mower runs at 2700 rpm blade speed. It has a 1000w motor and has 7ft-lbs of torque and comes with a 7.5 Ah battery and a 550W fast charger.

When he went through the list of the pros and cons on both of them, it really sounds like the ryobi wins out on everything.

I would also like to point out that it looks like the egos set lower during the Mow Test. You need them the same height for a true test.

!!!!!!! Same high !!!! Same hight !! Smh. What would be the point me doing this test.

Ego is fine but overrated and pricey, Ryobi is going that route too... I got a Greenworks 60v 21inch self propelled and is the best bang for the buck you can have, powerful and the cut quality is pretty good...I think people buy for the looks sometimes...I don't..!!!

Ego is just the best with everything they do. If you don't mind paying a little bit more for Quality it's worth it

I got both the Greenworks 60v 21 inch mower and the Ego 2156SP mower. Both mowers have their strengths and weaknesses but overall the Ego is a slightly easier mower to use and has a better cut quality. Greenworks has better controls layout and a nicer handle grip The lever to lower and raise the mower is also better in my opinion. Ego has a bigger bag and feels better quality overall and is lighter to use. Greenworks mower wheels lock up all the time when you try to go backwards after using self propel. The back wheels also has some resistance when not using the self propelled. Ego mower hardly ever locks up when you go backwards after using self propel and the back wheels have little to no resistance and therefore easier to push when not using self propelled. Greenworks 60v 21 inch mower looks much better than the Ego mower in my opinion. I don't like the was the Ego mowers look.

Go for a gas mower. When these things have problems out gets expensive

I love my Evo electric lawn mower I will never ever go back to gas !!!!!

    • @IvanRossS

So do you think repairing your gas lawn mower does not get expensive when you take it to the shop for a repair ? Is going to cost about the same !! I'm pretty sure motor on the electric will go out it will be significantly cheaper to replace then replacing a two-stroke engine on a regular mower ! If it blows on you.
