Andrew, your videos are always incredible and I always learn so much. I have one criticism though. Please stop apologizing for making videos. Every video starts with a 1-5 minute apology for the video not being what the viewer might want it to be.
I get it, I do this too. I preface everything I say to set expectations and everyone around me tells me how annoying it is, and I can see why when I watch your videos 🤣. But in all seriousness, We're here cause we love your content. Your viewers love you. You don't need to apologize to anyone, you're the fuckin bomb, man!

I graduated cosmo school in July 2020 and I've been in a barbershop for about 9 months now. My school was a chaotic mess and most of my instructors didn't know how to cut hair let alone teach someone else how to. So I really missed out on the fundamentals! And while the shop owner I work for is an excellent barber, she believes haircutting is nothing more than shaping and heavily relies on clipper over comb for most things. She doesn't think the basics are important. I have improved a lot since starting at her shop, but I'm definitely doing a lot of "intuitive cutting" not cutting from a solid foundation of knowledge about cutting. This gave me something to consider as I go through my haircuts now.

Wow, you break down hair cut learning into science. Thank you.

I always sensed haircutting was complex! Thanks for addressing it.

u referenced that "texturizing" would be a whole other video... to which i say "yes, please!" because the texturizing shear is probably one of the most misused & misunderstood tool in our arsenal ...& allow me to say, as a 30 yr barber who was feeling "stale" i have thoroughly enjoyed ur videos, so thank u sir

Thank you! I need to order new mannequins first, but I’ll do a texturizing video soon

Hello, after seeing this video and thinking about my own hair I came up with a question for you. I haven't done any research on it myself currently. I was wondering if a good haircut helps manage fly away hairs, or hair that pops up due to humidity? Or in general ways to keep fly aways at a minimum.

Excellent video.. there is really a lot of knowledge to be able to cut hair.. mire then I ever knew!! You are a Fantastic hairstylist!! Ive watched you cut Chloe on You-tube! My hair is growing out of a short pixie bob. I was wondering, how do I grow it out .. especially layers in back , to a longer inverted bob? I remember the video you did on Chloe as she was growing out under cut, and you were blending it . Thanks Right now my length is approximately chin length on sides and stacked kinda in back with a very short nape.

Andrew, can you give us some online trainings to the description, you probably said that already, but my english is quite poor. Otherwise did you think to do some of those tutorials for basics by yourself ? Lets say by patreon ? I dont know how many people is able to pay for it, because people love to get shit for free, but at least from my perspective i feel like i really need it because in Czech rep, this knowledge is impossible to get and i would like to pay to push my craft. Thank you for the video,..great as usually👍
